Abstract

The Bogor City Manpower Office (Disnaker) is a government agency responsible for assisting the Mayor of Bogor in implementing regional authority in the fields of employment and transmigration. This study aims to analyze the effect of competence on employee performance, with motivation as a moderating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique and involved 155 respondents. The SEM analysis consisted of the normality test, validity test, reliability test, moderation test, hypothesis testing, and goodness-of-fit evaluation. The results show that competence has a significant positive influence on employee performance (p = 0.000; C.R. = 4.127), supporting H1. Meanwhile, motivation does not have a significant direct effect on employee performance (p = 0.202; C.R. = –1.276), leading to the acceptance of H2. However, motivation significantly strengthens the relationship between competence and performance (p = 0.015; C.R. = 2.441), thereby rejecting H3. The model fit indices (?² = 93.77; RMSEA = 0.08; CFI = 0.91; TLI = 0.89) indicate that the SEM model demonstrates acceptable structural validity. These findings confirm that competence is a key driver of employee performance and that motivation enhances its effectiveness. Therefore, developing both competence and motivational support is essential for improving performance in public sector institutions.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has led to various smartphone products with competitive features and prices. This study aims to determine the effect of features and prices on purchasing decisions of iPhone smartphones at Halo Store, as well as to test the role of features as a moderating variable. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 230 respondents using simple random sampling. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The results showed that prices had a significant effect on purchasing decisions (p-value = 0.000), features had a significant effect on purchasing decisions (p-value = 0.000), while features as a moderating variable did not strengthen the effect of prices A on purchasing decisions (p-value = 0.056). The implication of this research highlights that a balanced pricing and product features strategy is essential to improve consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate strategies to improve employee job satisfaction at PT. Metrologi Global Solusi (MGS Kalibrasi), Kabupaten Tangerang, by considering the work environment through a SWOT analysis approach. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method using data collection techniques such as observations, interviews, paper-based questionnaires, and documentation. Work environment indicators include facilities, noise, air circulation, and work relationships, while job satisfaction indicators cover work itself, wages, promotion, supervision, and coworkers. The analysis results indicate that the company is positioned in quadrant I of the SWOT matrix, reflecting a growth-oriented strategy where internal strengths can be optimized to respond to external opportunities. The strategies formulated in order of priority are: offering subscription-based calibration services, regular equipment updates, development of a technology-based work system, certified technician training, strengthening customer service and after-sales support, gradual investment in new equipment, adding digital features to calibration services, expanding cooperation with educational institutions and new industries, and enhancing digital marketing through social media. These strategies are expected to improve employee job satisfaction in various aspects, including work efficiency, career development opportunities, harmonious coworker relationships, and a modern work system that supports productivity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the influence of compensation and work balance on employee performance at PT New Living Indonesia Tangerang Banten both partially and simultaneously. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample technique with a sample of 82 respondents. Data analysis uses validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, descriptive analysis, simple regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, determination coefficient analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of this study are compensation has a positive effect on employee performance with a regression equation value of Y = 17,195 + 0.610 X1, a correlation coefficient of 0.642 meaning that the two variables have a strong level of relationship. The determination value is 41.3% while the remaining 58.7% is influenced by other factors. The hypothesis test obtained a calculated t value> t table or (7.498> 1.990). Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted meaning there is a significant influence of compensation on employee performance. Work-life balance has a positive effect on employee performance with the regression equation value Y = 7.163 + 0.581 X2. The correlation coefficient is 0.793, meaning that the two variables have a strong relationship. The determination value is 62.9% while the remaining 37.1% is influenced by other factors. The hypothesis test obtained a calculated t value > t table or (11.644 > 1.990). Thus, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between work-life balance and employee performance. Compensation and work-life balance have a positive effect on employee performance simultaneously with the equation Y = 6.907 +0.065 X1 + 0.542 X2. The correlation coefficient value or the level of relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is obtained at 0.794, meaning that it has a strong relationship. The determination coefficient value simultaneously is 63.1% while the remaining 36.9% is influenced by other factors. The hypothesis test yielded a calculated F value > F table, or (67.476 > 3.112). Therefore, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means there is a significant simultaneous effect between compensation and work-life balance on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training on employee performance and examine the role of work discipline as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, which allows for simultaneous testing of structural relationships between latent variables and provides more accurate estimates by testing measurement and structural models. In this study, the training variable was tested on Employee Performance with training as a moderating variable using the SEM method. The research sample consisted of 185 respondents selected to represent the study population. The results showed that training had no significant effect on employee performance, with β=0.167 and p = 0.235, indicating that training could not been able to directly improve performance. Conversely, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a p-value of 0.000, indicating that the level of compliance with work rules and standards plays an important role in increasing productivity and performance quality. Furthermore, the results of the moderation test showed that work discipline strengthened the effect of training on employee performance, with β=-0.019 and a p-value of 0.004. This finding indicates that the effectiveness of training is highly dependent on employees work discipline. One of the main limitations lies in the scope of the variables used, as other factors can influence employee performance. Therefore, further research is recommended to develop a research model by adding other relevant variables.
