Abstract

Produksi jagung manis dapat ditingkatkan melalui perbaikan genetik dan pengaturan ruang (tumbuh melalui pengaturan populasi tanaman dan ketersediaan unsurhara dan air yang cukup). Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tanam lingkar berjajar terhadap populasi dan produksi tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli – Oktober 2017 di Ponorogo, Jawa Timur dengan ketinggian 140 m dpl dan jenis tanah adalah grumosol. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan dengan enam kali ulangan. Faktor yang diteliti adalah metode tanam, meliputi : tanam tunggal dengan jarak tanam 20x60 cm; tanam lingkar berjajar dengan jarak tanam 50x70 cm; tanam lingkar berjajar dengan jarak tanam 60x80 cm; tanam lingkar berjajar dengan jarak tanam 70x80 cm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1). Perlakuan tanam lingkar berjajar meningkatkan populasi tanaman jagung manis sebesar 239 – 274 % dari tanam tunggal. 2). Tanam Lingkar berjajar dengan jarak tanam 70x80 cm dengan jumlah populasi 75.382 per Ha menghasilkan berat tongkol segar sebesar 26,06 ton/Ha.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat dengan tema budidaya tanaman hias ini adalah agar para santri memahamidan mengetahui sekaligus bisa mempraktekan perbanyakan tanaman hias dengan vegetatif dan generatif,budidaya tanaman hias dengan media hidrogel dan terarrium. Metode yang diterapkan pada pengabdianmasyarakat ini adalah dengan pemberian informasi atau materi, diskusi, tentang budidaya tanaman hias,kemudian dilakukan tahapan simulasi dan praktik budidaya tanaman hias dengan vegetatif dan generatif,budidaya tanaman hias dengan media hidrogel dan terarrium. Ada tiga tahapan dalam kegiatan pengabdianmasyarakat ini, yaitu (1) Prakegiatan, diisi dengan pemberian materi dan diskusi tentang perbanyakan tanamanhias dengan vegetatif dan generatif, serta budidaya tanaman hias dengan media hidrogel dan terarrium. ; (2)Pelaksanaan kegiatan, meliputi praktik budidaya tanaman hias serta budidaya tanaman hias dengan terarriumdan hidrogel. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa santri tampak antusias mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan perbanyakantanaman, baik saat pemberian materi ataupun praktek secara langsung. Acara sejenis dapat dilanjutkan dengantema yang lain sehingga akan meningkatkan minat santri pada dunia tanaman. Abstract

Kemampuan ekstrak daun selasih dan pandan wangi dalam menarik kedatangan lalat buah dipengaruhi oleh kandungan bahan aktif seperti Metil Eugenol (ME) (C12H14O2). Rendeman minyak hasil perebusan daun selasih adalah 1,14% dengan kadar ME mencapai 76%. Sedangkan kadar kandungan ME dalam minyak atsiri daun pandan wangi sekitar kadar 5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak selasih dan pandan wangi terhadap lalat buah. Penelitian dilakukan pada buan Agustus 2019 di Kecamatan Mlarak dan Sawo, Ponorogo, Jawa Timur. Terdapat dua perlakuan yaitu ekstrak daun selasih dan daun pandan yang masing-masing diulang tiga kali. Pengambilan sampel lalat buah didapatkan dari pemasangan perangkap di delapan petak lahan. Sedangkan, pengambilan sampel buah rusak diambil dari tanaman cabai rawit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ekstrak daun pandan wangi dan daun selasih mampu menarik lalat buah. Namun, ekstrak daun kemangi lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan daun pandan. Jumlah  lalat buah yang tertangkap pada perlakuan ekstrak daun selasih di daerah Mlarak 116 ekor dan Sawo 83 ekor, lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan ekstrak daun pandan wangi  yang berjumlah masing-masing 11 ekor di kedua lahan peneltian. Kemudian, intensitas serangan pada buah cabai paling banyak pada lahan dengan perlakuan ekstrak daun pandan mencapai 33.74% di Mlarak dan 29.61% di Sawo. Sedangkan spesies lalat buah yang tertangkap ialah betina dari B. carambolea, B. umbrosa, dan B. fuscitibia.

Abstract

Peterseli adalah tanaman sayur untuk penambah cita rasa dan tanaman berkhasiat obat. Budidaya peterseli di Indonesia masih terbatas dan produksinya rendah, untuk meningkatkan produksi dapat dilakukan dengan cara pengaplikasian pupuk organik cair (POC). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair dengan sistem irigasi tetes terhadap beberapa jenis peterseli di dataran rendah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan januari sampai Agustus 2021 di kebun Percobaan Agroteknologi UNIDA Gontor Putri pada ketinggian 100 mdpl dengan suhu rata-rata berkisar antara 26-32oC menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) Faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah dosis POC yang diaplikasikan secara irigasi tetes yaitu 0%, 25%, 50% dan 75% POC, faktor kedua adalah jenis peterseli guna mengetahui jenis peterseli yang cocok untuk dibudidayakan didataran yaitu Orfeo, Aphrodite, dan Dark Green Italian. Hasil penelitian perlakuan secara tunggul POC dan jenis peterseli memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata pengamatan tinggi tanaman, berat basah dan berat segar tanaman. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa perlakuan POC dosis 25% dengan irigasi tetes memberikan hasil terbaik karena dapat memberikan hasil jumlah daun terbanyak serta berat segar dan berat kering tertinggi sedangkan untuk jenis peterseli yang memberikan hasil terbaik adalah jenis Dark Green Italian.

Abstract

The farmer’s behavior in Demangan Village is not safe and healthy in carrying out agricultural activities especially on pesticide use starting from mixing, spraying, washing the equipment and dispose the pesticide bottles. Therefore, efforts are needed to form a safe farming village in three years by involving two partners, they were the Pos UKK Demang Jaya Sehat and Gapoktan Demang Jaya. In the third year, the partners have not been able to carry out the work program independently, the synergy with the government and community health center is needed. The community service team helps activities through the FGD method and assistance with partners, governments, and community health centers. At the end of the activity, an evaluation of the achievements and obstacles to be followed up. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the government and community health centers contribute to the partner’s work program such as fulfilling facilities (utilization of village halls for meetings, crooked land for planting lemongrass, and BUMDES for the operation of Pos UKK and sales citronella oil), funding (purchase of materials and completeness of RSBP), human resources (assistance, monitoring, education, and active participation), and administration (data provision). So partners can carry out work programs properly, the role of the Pos UKK as implementing basic health services and Gapoktan as organic farming actors. Synergy is needed to maintain program sustainability.

Abstract

Silica protects plants from abiotic stress. Planting media provides a place to grow and nutrition for plant growth. The research aims to study the effect of bamboo leaf silica dosage and growing media on the yield of red beets cultivated in the lowlands. The research was designed using a completely randomized factorial design (CRD) with two treatment factors. The first factor is the dose of bamboo leaf silica fertilizer (0 ppm, 0.15 ppm, 0.30 ppm, 0.45 ppm, 0.60 ppm). The second factor is the growing media (soil growing media; soil growing media + goat manure, and soil growing media + goat manure + husk charcoal). Research results: bamboo leaf silica dosage (0.3 ppm, 0.45 ppm and 0.60 ppm) affects the chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll. Growing media soil + goat manure + husk charcoal affects the length of red beet plants, number of leaves, diameter and length of red beetroots, wet weight and dry weight of red beetroots. Combination of growing media treatment (soil + goat manure + husk charcoal) with all doses of bamboo leaf silica increased the chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and total chlorophyll. The sugar content of red beetroots was not influenced by the dose of bamboo leaf silica or the growing medium. Keywords: Chlorophyll, Husk Charcoal, Manure, Soil.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of a combination of inorganic fertilizer (KNO3) and organic fertilizer (goat manure) on the yield of the Betavila variety when apical shoots are pruned. The research took place from March to October 2019 in Kupang Regency, NTT. The research used RAK with 4 repetitions. The treatments are as follows: M1 = inorganic fertilizer 5 g/l KNO3; M2 = organic fertilizer 20 tons/ha goat manure; M3 = inorganic fertilizer 5 g/l KNO3 + organic fertilizer 30 tons/ha goat manure; M4 = inorganic fertilizer 5 g/l KNO3 + organic fertilizer 15 tons/ha goat manure; M5 = Inorganic fertilizer 3.75 g/l KNO3 + organic fertilizer 15 tons/ha goat manure; M6 = Inorganic fertilizer 3.75 g/l KNO3 + organic fertilizer 30 tons/ha goat manure; M7 = inorganic fertilizer 2.5 g/l KNO3 + organic fertilizer 15 tons/ha goat manure; M8 = inorganic fertilizer 2.5 g/l KNO3 + organic fertilizer 30 tons/ha goat manure. The results of the research showed that the combination of applying inorganic fertilizer and organic fertilizer simultaneously influenced the yield of Betavila variety tomato plants whose apical shoots had been pruned, namely on the number of fruits, fruit weight, and fruit production. Fertilization dose of inorganic fertilizer 3.75 g/l KN03 + organic fertilizer 30 tons/ha goat manure gave the number of fruits per plant (59.63 fruit), fruit production per plant (2.63 kg), and fruit production per experimental plot (50.33 kg) highest.

Abstract

A program that has not been implemented at the Demang Jaya Sehat Post of Occupational Health Effort is village-level meetings as an effort to provide solutions to problems obtained when conducting introspective surveys. Currently, cadres are not able to carry out socialization because they have never received training related to socialization media. This service aims to provide simple health socialization media training to UKK Demang Jaya Sehat Post Cadres as a motor in the farmer health program. This service begins with a pretest, then simple socialization media training consisting of concepts, sources, and practices, and ends with a posttest. All 7 cadres were active and enthusiastic in participating in the training held at the Demangan Village Hall as seen from several questions asked. Cadres carry out the practice of searching for information and data using Google with keyword accuracy indicators, as well as accessing the website promkes.kemkes.go.id to download socialization media in the form of videos, short films, posters, brochures, flyers, and leaflets. Cadres are considered proficient in using gadgets. The posttest results showed an increase in cadre understanding scores of 20.75% compared to before. This shows that training activities are effective in increasing the knowledge of Pos UKK cadres so that they are expected to be able to maintain the sustainability of the village safety farming program. The lowest score is in the aspect of validity and accuracy of information, so farmers still need assistance from the community health center and village government team in preparing and conducting counseling.

Abstract

Planting more than one mung bean plant per polybag causes intraspecific interactions which can increase or decrease the production of mung bean plants (Phaseolus radiatus L.). This research aims to determine the effect of interspecific interactions on the growth and yield of mung bean plants (Phseolus radiatus L.). This research was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of three treatments in the form of the first treatment in the form of one plant/polybag, the second treatment in the form of two plants/polybag, and the third treatment in the form of three plants/polybag which will be repeated six times and consists of from three samples to obtain 54 experimental units. Observations made in this research were plant height (cm), number of leaves, number of pods, pod weight (grams), plant fresh weight, and plant dry weight (grams). Based on the results of the ANOVA analysis followed by the Least Significance Different (LSD) test, interspecific competition gave significantly different results for the number of pods, pod weight, fresh weight, and dry weight of plants (grams) with the best treatment of two plants/polybags

Abstract

Abstract. The Darul Qiyam Islamic Boarding School is in Magelang Regency and is a plateau surrounded by 5 (five) mountains, namely Mount Merapi, Merbabu, Andong, Telomoyo, Sumbing, and the Menoreh Mountains. This condition makes most of the Darul Qiyam Islamic boarding school area an area with fertile soil derived from volcanic ash. Based on regional conditions like this, the location of the Darul Qiyam hut is suitable for durian plants. On the one hand, the need for durian fruit for cottage purposes is increasing over time with the demand for bread made from durian. The current need for durian is supplied from markets around Magelang. Durian grows abundantly in the village around the Darul Qiyam cottage, while at the cottage location there are only 3 durian trees. This fact occurs due to the students' lack of knowledge in planting durian trees and durian tree nurseries. The solution offered in this activity is to increase knowledge about planting durian seeds and increase skills regarding the propagation of durian seeds. The method used is counseling and assistance in planting durian seeds as well as training in the propagation of durian seeds. The result of this activity was an increase in students' knowledge about durian planting and breeding. Abstrak. Pondok Pesantren Darul Qiyam berada di  Kabupaten Magelang dan merupakan dataran tinggi yang dikelilingi oleh 5 (lima) gunung yaitu Gunung Merapi, Merbabu, Andong, Telomoyo, Sumbing, dan Pegunungan Menoreh. Kondisi ini menjadikan sebagian besar wilayah Pondok pesantren Darul Qiyam merupakan daerah yang tanah subur yang berasal abu vulkanis. Berdasarkan Keadaan wilayah seperti ini maka lokasi pondok Darul Qiyam cocok untuk tanaman durian. Di satu sisi kebutuhan buah durian untuk keperluan pondok semakin lama semakin meningkat dengan adanya perminataan roti yang berbahan baku durian. Kebutuhan durian sementara ini dipasok dari pasar disekitar magelang.  Durian tumbuh subur di kampung sekitar pondok Darul Qiyam, sedangkan dilokasi pondok hanya terdapat 3 batang pohon durian. Kenyataan ini terjadi karena kurangnnya pengetahuan santri dalam menanam pohon durian dan pembibitan pohon durian. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan ini adanya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang penanaman bibit durian dan peningkatan ketrampilaan tentang perbanyakan bibit durian. Metode yang dilakuan penyuluhan dan pendampingan penanaman bibit durian serta pelatihan perbanyakan bibit durian. Hasil dari kegiatan ini  yaitu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan santri tentang penanaman dan pembibitan durian sebesar 75% diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan pos test.
