Abstract

Guru merupakan salah satu sumber daya manusia yang menjadi target peningkatan kemampuan berkualitas dan berdaya saing. Meningkatkannya kemampuan guru diharapkan meningkat pula hasil belajar peserta didik sesuai dengan harapan presiden melalui kementrian pendidikan. Salah satu masalah guru di Rangsang Barat yaitu masih rendahnya kemampuan penggunaan media pembelajaran digital Tidak adanya waktu untuk mengikuti pelatihan atau workshop terkait pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital juga berdampak kepada pengetahuan guru dalam proses pengajaran di kelas. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan pendampingan terkait pembuatan media pembelajaran digital berbasis android yaitu aplikasi inSHot. Dengan diberikan pelatihan ini diharapkan guru dapat mengaplikasikan media pembelajaran digital dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilakukan tatap muka di SMA Negeri 1 Rangsang Barat yang diikuti sebanyak 17 guru. Adapun target dari kegiatan ini adalah a) guru memperoleh pengetahuan tentang media pembelajaran digital berbasis android yaitu inShot dan b) guru mampu menggunakan media pembelajaran digital berbasis android yang telah dibuat.

Abstract

Pantun adalah puisi lama bentuk tradisi lisan melayu yang termasuk dalam warisan budaya tak benda. Di samping maraknya kegiatan berpantun di masyarakat, ditemukan bahwa pantun modern saat ini banyak terdapat penyimpangan dimana sebagian tidak mencerminkan nilai-nilai leluhur, tidak sesuainya jumlah larik dalam bait, jumlah kata dalam larik yang tidak menentu, sampiran tidak mengantarkan sisi pantun, serta tidak memperhatikan susunan rima pantun. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dibangun sistem rekomendasi pembuatan sampiran pantun menggunakan tail similarity. Dengan input dua baris isi, sistem akan memberikan rekomendasi sampiran yang sesuai dengan skema rima ab-ab dengan melakukan perbandingan urutan antara kata terakhir dari isi A & isi B dengan kata terakhir dari sampiran A & sampiran B dari seluruh pantun di basis data. Algoritma ini mampu memberikan rekomendasi sampiran pantun dengan tepat sesuai dengan kemiripan kata akhir.

Abstract

The optimization of Community Reading Park (TBM) is one solution to stimulate and develop the reading interest of the Indonesian community, aiming to create an educated Indonesian society with a decent income to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. The TBM that partners with this Community Service (P2M) activity is the Hikari Library located in RW.13 / RT.04 Alamanda II Housing precisely on Taman Karya Ujung Street, Pekanbaru City. This TBM has been established since 2019. However, the management and utilization of this library have not been optimal. The hundreds of collections owned are not well-documented, and a retrieval system for the collections has not been implemented. Moreover, the collection service system is entirely manual and sometimes not documented, leading to many borrowed collections being lost and not returned. The proposed solution to the partner is the implementation of a library information system management to assist in the proper governance of the library. Based on pre-tests and post-tests distributed to librarians, it shows an improvement in understanding by 7,49%, and with a satisfaction level of 93,8 %. This Community Service program is conducted in several stages, including 1) pre-activity; 2) implementation; and 3) evaluation.

Abstract

Fuel is an important part of vehicles and machinery where sales demand is very high and has various fluctuations. The uncertainty in these fuel sales patterns poses serious problems in inventory management and fuel distribution planning in Indonesia, which can result in excess stock or fuel scarcity in various regions. Additionally, changing trends in vehicle usage and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic have made accurate sales predictions increasingly difficult. Therefore, this research aims to understand the current and future sales patterns and trends of fuel sales in Indonesia. Careful analysis of prices and other factors such as data processing and other variables is required. This study uses time series analysis methods and compares four models, namely Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), FB Prophet, Simple Moving Average (SMA), and Exponential Moving Average (EMA). By comparing the results using statistics such as Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) over various prediction time frames, we assessed the patterns of each model. The results of the analysis show that the LSTM model outperformed all other methods with the lowest MAPE for the prediction of gasoline in the next 31 days, which is 17.11%, while the FB Prophet outperformed all other methods with the lowest MAPE for the prediction of diesel in the next 31 days, which is 18.32%. Although the LSTM model generally outperformed all other algorithms, the FB Prophet model can be used to predict future trends, such as increased use of diesel and decreased use of gasoline which are expected to last within one year. This analysis also provides insights for choosing the right model for a time series problem, including the characteristics of the data to be predicted and analyzed, as well as the assumptions of stationarity and normality of the data. The results of this study indicate that machine learning algorithms can improve the accuracy of time series predictions significantly compared to traditional statistical methods.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to improve 3R literacy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and information retrieval skills among members of the Ibu-Ibu Kreatif Kembang Setaman Joint Business Group (KUB IKREKS). The training emphasizes the importance of inclusive libraries as empowerment centers and sources of information. Three main topics were covered: inclusive libraries, environmental education, and waste management, as well as digital information retrieval related to environmental literacy. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, measured through pre-test and post-test assessments. Understanding of access to digital libraries increased by 55%, while systematic information retrieval skills improved by 38.75%. In addition, the satisfaction questionnaire revealed a 97.14% satisfaction rate, with 98.57% of participants stating that the material was very useful. This activity successfully raised participants' awareness of the importance of better waste management and the role of inclusive libraries in supporting community and environmental empowerment.

Abstract

Libraries collect a lot of important transaction data, but they rarely use this information to improve how consumers interact with them. This work tries to bridge this gap by offering a novel use of machine learning to analyze and classify library patron behavior. Customers were categorized based on their age range, checkouts, and renewals using the KMeans clustering technique. Dimensionality reduction methods like PCA and t-SNE were used to visually clarify the generated patterns. Our research revealed three different user groups: Rare Borrowers, who typically make 5.4 checkouts and 2.0 renewals; Occasional Borrowers, who typically make 20.8 checkouts and 7.1 renewals; and Frequent Borrowers, who often make 50.3 checkouts and 15.4 renewals. The clustering model performed quite well, as evidenced by its Calinski-Harabasz Index of 320.12, Davies-Bouldin Index of 0.45, and Silhouette Score of 0.62. Beyond these metrics, the study’s novelty lies in its practical implications—offering libraries a data-driven framework to tailor services, improve user satisfaction, and optimize resource allocation. This study highlights the transformative potential of machine learning in library science offering a data-driven framework for libraries to personalize services, optimize book recommendations, and enhance outreach efforts based on patron behavior. By segmenting users, libraries can better allocate resources and improve user experience. Limitation of this study lies on the data bias which may affect generalizability due to demographic differences across libraries. Additionally, KMeans clustering assumes predefined clusters, which may not fully capture nuanced behaviors.

Abstract

Rapid advance of technology can be very helpful in improving the quality of education The need for technology in education has always been strongly linked with a big fund, so that often impede the use of technology in teaching and learning at the primary school level. The research objective is to facilitate teachers to create interactive presentations that engage and evoke the spirit and the attention of every student in the classroom with minimal funds. The development method of this learning application is Waterfall model by using the Microsoft Mouse Mischief and Microsoft Office PowerPoint. Conclusions drawn from the results of early qualitative analysis revealed three main benefits of interactive, collaborative and engaging learning with the Microsoft Mouse Mischief: (a) children showed higher levels of engagement, (b) children tend to be more active in the group, and (c) children prefer to play while learning on the big screen using the mouse input. Keywords— Microsoft Mouse Mischief, distributed computing, ICT in learning, open source system & technology

Abstract

Introduction. The literary works produced by Riau authors are generally documented in unstructured text formats, making it difficult to organize, search, and access information efficiently. This study aims to visualize literary works through the implementation of a knowledge graph to provide more structured and integrated access to literary information. Data Collection Methods. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach involving five stages: needs analysis, design, development, testing, and evaluation. Metadata was systematically collected based on the standards of Resource Description and Access (RDA) and Friend of a Friend (FOAF) to ensure consistency and interoperability of information. Data Analysis. The collected metadata was analyzed and used to represent the relationships between authors and their literary works within a semantic framework using Neo4j. Results and Discussion. This study successfully compiled and structured the metadata of literary works by Riau authors and clearly mapped the relationships between entities in an informative manner. Conclusion. The application of knowledge graph technology in the context of regional literature has proven effective in enhancing the organization, visualization, and accessibility of literary metadata. This research contributes to the digital preservation of local literary heritage and offers an information management model that can be further developed.

Abstract

Pelatihan budidaya lebah madu Apis mellifera bagi pemuda Suku Akit di Rupat Utara, Kabupaten Bengkalis, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis sebagai upaya diversifikasi ekonomi berbasis potensi lokal. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 11 peserta dengan metode participatory action research (PAR), menggabungkan presentasi visual (baliho dan leaflet), demonstrasi langsung, serta praktik lapangan meliputi pemindahan koloni, pemanenan, dan penentuan lokasi stup. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman peserta dari 0% menjadi 78% dengan 81% mengakui efektivitas media visual. Sebanyak 92% peserta bersedia mengadopsi budidaya lebah sebagai sumber pendapatan tambahan, meskipun tantangan seperti keterbatasan akses peralatan (stup dan bibit) serta pemasaran produk masih menjadi kendala utama. Solusi yang diusulkan meliputi kolaborasi dengan dinas terkait untuk penyediaan infrastruktur, pelatihan lanjutan pemasaran digital, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan selama 6 bulan pasca- pelatihan. Program ini tidak hanya berpotensi meningkatkan pendapatan, tetapi juga mendukung pelestarian lingkungan melalui penyerbukan alami. Rekomendasi kebijakan mencakup integrasi dengan penyuluhan pertanian terpadu dan penguatan kelembagaan kelompok pemuda.

Abstract

Learning media is the main support in making learning in the classroom a success. Training through PKM activities can be a place to explore potential and provide space for teachers to hone their skills in making interesting learning videos as learning media. This PKM activity was attended by 42 Meranti Islands Mathematics MGMP teachers in the hall of SMAN 2 Tebing Tinggi Selat Panjang for 2 days, namely Friday-Saturday, 30 to 31 August 2024 using the participant's active participation devotion method. This PKM activity method is carried out in 6 stages, namely: 1) survey and outreach, 2) preparation of plans and preparation of activity materials, 3) counseling, 4) training, 5) implementation of service outcomes, and 6) evaluation. The result of this PKM activity was that teachers' skills in making learning videos with InShot were honed and had a positive impression with 86% of participants succeeding in making interesting learning videos. It can be concluded that this PKM activity was successful and is really needed by teachers to continue to be held by honing other skills which can make teachers more competent in teaching and delivering learning.
