Abstract

This aims study to investigate the implementation of pedagogical competence of teachers in the teaching ofbiology in high schools in District of Tambusai Utara. This research instrument using a questionnaire andanalyzed by descriptive qualitative. The results of researchin the category ofveryhigh(96,57). Pedagogicalcompetence include: 1) Have an understanding of insight or educational foundation (93.33%), 2) Having anunderstanding of the students (98.33%), 3) Able to develop curriculum / syllabus (93.33%), 4) able to draft thestudy (92.22%), 5) Implement educational and dialogical learning (90.83%), 6) to evaluate learning outcomeswith the correct procedure (87.62%), and 7) able to develop the potential of learners to mengaktulisasikanpotentials (85%).

Abstract

The aim studyofthis research is to know the result of students studiying at class VII SMP Bangun Purba with applying Think Pair share (TPS) stretegy helped by picture media. The kind of this research is quasi experimental. The sample in this research was the student of VII class 1 and 2 of SMP N Bangun Purba. The research was conducted in November 2014. It can be seen from average score experimental class has average score 76,136 with the highest score is 85 and lowest score is 60. While the average of controll class is 70,47 with the highest score 85 and the lowest score is 60. Based on the hypothesis testing, the value of to higher than t hitung > t tabel is 2,455 > 2,054 It can be con cluded that there is the affect of TPS strategy helped picture media toward the result of students studying of VII SMP class of 1 Bangun Purba school year 2014/2015

Abstract

The analysis of professional competency biology teachers in throughout junior high school Kepenuhan sub-district Rokan Hulu Regency. The aim of this research was to find out the competency of professional biologi teachers at Junior High School Kepenuhan sub-district in development proffesion. The sample of this research were sigh Biologi teachers class VII from six different Junior High School. The data collection technique used was enguette and analized used descriptive statistic. The research finding showed that the development proffesion aspect had the average persentage 61,01%, comprehending know ledge had the average percentage 72,2%, mastery of academic research materials had average percentage 63,88%. Overall the percentage of professional competency Biologi teachers class VII in Junior High School throughout the Kepenuhan sub-district was 65,69% and categorized as enough.

Abstract

This aim of this study was to known execution of practical work at study of class student biology of VIIIin SMP Country 3 Kunto Darussalam grade academic year 2014 / 2015. This was a descriptive study. Thesampel was the student of class VIIIA and class of VIIIB taken by simple random sampling till reach the amountof sampel as a whole 53 student. Technique intake of data done by using enquette. Data analyzed by usingdescriptive statistics. Result indicated that; 1) Frequency execution of practical work (75%); 2) Studententhusiasm to practical work (77%); 3) Time execution of practical work (69%) and; 4) Preparation andexecution of practical work (78%). Amount of mean percentage of execution of practical work at study ofbiology (75%) have been applied better.

Abstract

The aim study of this was to know the student learning interest in class VIII to IPA subjects. This is a descriptivestudy. Samples were collected with random sampling techniques. Based on research and analysis that has beendone we can conclude that interest students class learning VIII MTs. PP. Hasanatul Barokah Tambusai Timurat 78% with high criteria.

Abstract

Abstract. To improving the teaching ability of preservice teachers must understand eight basic skills of teaching. Lesson study is a model used for teaching guidance for students, because in the model developed collaborative work, collegial and mutual benefit in learning (mutual learning). The purpose of this research is to improve the teaching ability of biology education students of Pasir Pengaraian University by using lesson study model. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The data source of this research is the sixth semester of Biology education program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Pasir Pengaraian University. Data collected by observation sheet of basic teaching skill assessment. The result of the research shows the improvement of students teaching ability on the second cycle (from the first cycle 51,78 to 73,86 in the second cycle). Thus it can be concluded that there is improvement of teaching ability of Biology University of Pasir Pengaraian by applying lesson study model. Keywords: basic teaching skills, lesson study, microteaching

Abstract

This research aims to determine the species of grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Ensifera) located in Sauman hotsprings tourism object in the village of Rambah Tengah Hulu sub district of Rambah Rokan Hulu district. This study was conducted from December 2017 to March 2018 by survey method. Grasshopper obtained was  then identified by describing the species based reference source. Result soft hestudy founda Grasshopper derived from 3 families, 7 subfamily, 8 genera and 10 species. As for the species of grasshoppers that Nisitrus vittatus, Teleogryllus emma, Teleogryllus sp., Conocephalus maculatus, Euconocephalus sp., Mecopoda sp., Mecopoda elongata, Phaneroptera brevis, Onomarchus uninotatus and Gryllotalpa nympichus.

Abstract

This research was conducted to developing Biology media-learning by employing macromedia flash in studying cell division for X grade high school students based on the result of validation by the expert team and the students responses. This research used a developing research based on Dick and Carey model which were modified.Data collection was be conducted by providing questionnaires. In analyzing the data by descriptive analysis. The results of this research shows that: (1) the test by Biology experts in light of evaluating content appropriateness is on very good criteria (84%); (2) the test by media-learning experts is on very good criteria (88%); (3) the individual test is on very good criteria (83%); (4) the group test is on very good criteria (81%); (5) the field test is on very good criteria (85%).

Abstract

Salah satu cara membuat pembelajaran di kelas menjadi aktif dan menyenangkan adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran cooperative. Dengan menerapkan Model pembelajaran cooperative picture and picture dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran picture and picture terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Rambah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi exsperiment. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII yang berjumlah 57 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara non random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data tes soal objektif. Teknik analisis data hasil belajar menggunakan uji t. Sebagai persyaratan analisis digunakan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Dari uji t didapat nilai thitung = 14,143 dan nilai ttabel= 1,703. Karena thitung > ttabel, maka hipotesis nihil (H0) ditolak. Kesimpulannya adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model cooperative learning terhadap hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Materi Sistem Pencernaan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji aktivitas antioksidan (E)-1-(4-klorofenil)-3-p-tolilprop-2-en-1-on (C1) dan (E)-1-(4-klorofenil)-3-(4-isopropilfenil)prop-2-en-1-on (C2). Penelitian ini bermanfaat sebagai langkah awal dalam pencarian alternatif senyawa antioksidan dan antibiotik baru dari senyawa kalkon. Pengujian bioaktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH. DPPH merupakan metode yang cepat, sederhana, dan tidak membutuhkan biaya tinggi dalam menentukan kemampuan antioksidan menggunakan radikal bebas 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH). Metode ini sering digunakan untuk menguji senyawa yang berperan sebagai free radical scavengers atau donor hidrogen dan mengevaluasi aktivitas antioksidannya, serta mengkuantifikasi jumlah kompleks radikal-antioksidan yang terbentuk. Bioaktivitas antioksidan senyawa kalkon (E)-1-(4-klorofenil)-3-p-tolilprop-2-en-1-on memiliki nilai IC50 533,9000 ppm dan senyawa kalkon (E)-1-(4-klorofenil)-3-(4-isopropilfenil)prop-2-en-1-on memiliki nilai IC50 718,9054 ppm. Kemampuan senyawa kalkon (E)-1-(4-klorofenil)-3-p-tolilprop-2-en-1-on dan (E)-1-(4-klorofenil)-3-(4-isopropilfenil)prop-2-en-1-on tergolong antioksidan lemah [12]. Kata Kunci : Antioksidan, DPPH, Kalkon
