Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model of type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) assisted the picture media towards process science skills and learning results of students at class XI MIA SMA N 1 Bangun Purba in Academic Year 2014/2015. This study used quasi-experimental. Based on the results obtained in the experimental class average value of process science skills of observation is 79,60 with a high criteria. The results of hypothesis testing obtained ttest>ttable (2.859>2.064) can be conclude that cooperative learning model of type STAD assisted the picture media effect the process science skills and learning results of students at class XI MIA SMA N 1 Bangun Purba in Academic Year 2014/2015.

Abstract

Kanker payudara saat ini menjadi masalah kesehatan utama baik di dunia maupun di Indonesia karena tingginya angka insidensi yangdi yakini berkaitan dengan beberapa faktor risiko yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis determinan kanker payudara pada wanita.Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan desain case control.Penelitian dilakukan di RSUP DR.M.Djamil Padang pada tahun 2018. Populasi kasus pada penelitian adalah wanita yang terdiagnosis kanker payudara yang rawat jalan di poli bedah di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang, dan populasi controlnya adalah wanita yang tidak terdiagnosis kanker payudara.Jumlah sampel sebanyak 36 orang kasus dan 36 orang control (1:1) yang ditentukan berdasarkan rumus Alimul. Sampeldipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling.Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner melalui wawancara. Kemudian data di analisis secara univariat, bivariat dengan uji Chi-square, dan multivariat dengan regresi logistic.Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwaada hubungan antara usia responden, riwayat kontrasepsi hormonal, usia menarche dan riwayat menyusui dengan kejadian kanker payudara. Tidak ada hubungan antara obesitas dan paritas dengan kejadian kanker payudara. Usia menarche merupakan faktor yang paling dominan berhubungan dengan kejadian kanker payudara pada wanita.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa? faktor risiko terbesar dari kanker payudara adalah faktor hormonal.

Abstract

AbstrackPosition of Civil Servants in any government organization has a very important role,because the civil service is the backbone of the government in implementing nationaldevelopment. To be able to realize the implementation of governance and development tasksrequired of Civil Servants professional, responsible, honest, and fair conducted based systemswork performance and career system. But in the execution and implementation experiencedmany difficulties that require good governance, including in the process of appointment of theCivil Service to structural positions, because the position of the structural position issusceptible to irregularities or personal interests that dominate such political interests, familyrelatives and etc. Research on the Appointment of Civil Servants in structural positions inBungo done through regulatory approaches and theories associated with the fact that how theimplementation of personnel regulations in Bungo Regency, which is also called empirical legalresearch. Regulation of the barometer is Government Regulation Number 100 of 2000 onAppointment of Civil Servants in structural positions. Abstract

Background: Anemia is a global public health problem affecting both developing and developed countries with major consequences on human health as well as social and economic development. Anemia resulting from iron deficiency that may adversely affects the infants? cognitive and motor development. The objective of this research was to find out the risk factors of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in 6 months old infants.Methods: This was an observational research with case-control design. Population was all 6 months old infants having been examined for their hemoglobin levels in Tegalrejo public health center in Yogyakarta from 2017 to 2018. 164 samples were taken with random sampling contained of 82 infants with anemia diagnosis in case group and 82 infants with normal hemoglobin levels for control group. Dependent variable was iron deficiency anemia (IDA) assessed based on hemoglobin level less than 11 gr% and independent variables were IDA risk factors (birth weight, sex, maternal education, maternal occupation, and maternal age) obtained from medical records and direct interviews. Data were analyzed by using logistic regression. Results: the risk factor influencing IDA was exclusive breastfeeding (p<0.05). Infants who did not receive exclusive breastfeeding had 2.16 folds higher risk of having IDA than those who received exclusive breastfeeding. Other risk factors such as birth weight, sex, maternal education, maternal occupation, and maternal age did not correlate significantly to iron deficiency anemia (IDA). Conclusion: Exclusive breastfeeding was the significant risk factor toward iron deficiency anemia in 6 months old infants after controlling other risk factors. Therefore, these finding can be implemented by maternal and child health practitioners to make iron deficiency anemia prevention program by eliminating or minimizing its risk factor.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to identify students' attitudes toward science subjects through two indicators, namely the pleasure of learning science and career interests in the field of science owned by students at Junior High School 17 Jambi City. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The subjects of this research were 128 students at Junior High School 17 Jambi city with a total of 128 students. Samples were taken using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that 72 people out of 128 respondents had sufficient attitudes in the pleasure of learning science and also had enough interest in a career in the field of science. The results of this study also showed that when a child likes to study science, the child also has a good interest in a career in the natural sciences.DOI: 10.24071/ijiet.2020.040108

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has enormous iron ore and iron sand mine that can be utilized for various industrial purposes. This research has been successfully conducted synthesis and characterization of hematite iron ore and magnetite from iron sand. Iron sand and iron ore that has been crushed manually repaired with a magnet was carried out with the HCl, and NH4OH then dried in the temperature of 150 oC and calcinated at a temperature of 500 oC. Characterization was carried out using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF), where the preliminary information obtained from XRF results in an iron ore sample by manual separation have 95.99% of Fe2O3 and followed by compounds SiO2 (2.10%). While the iron sand contains 81.42% of Fe3O4 and 2.5% of SiO2. After the precipitation process, Fe2O3 compounds contained in iron ore has a content of 96.58% and Fe3O4 compounds contained in iron sand (86.73%).  The results of XRD indicate the dominant primary phase in iron ore is hematite or Fe2O3, and in iron, sand is magnetite Fe3O4, Before the extraction process, Fe2O3 was 58.009 μm in size and after the process of extracting the particles was reduced to 20.950 μm. While the Fe3O4, prior to the extract, has a grain size of 59.009 μm, and after an extraction process, the grain size reduced into 25.950 μm. The calculation results indicate there is a slight size difference between the grain size of iron sand and iron ore.

Abstract

AbstractSnack is a mixture of various processed foodstuffs in the form of food processed with simultaneously. Snack can contribute nutrients to fulfil the Recommended Dietary Allowance. The aims of this study was to determine the relationship between the contribution nutrient of snack with the body mass index and hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls. The design of this study is cross-sectional.Sample of this study is mostly boarding students Ibadurrahman. We used purposive sampling and total of sample are 99 respondents. Statistic test used Pearson correlation test. Mostly respondents aged 16 years, the body weight is (49.1 ± 4.7)kg, height is (150.9 ± 5.2)cm, hemoglobin level is (11.8 ± 0.6)mg/dl, and the nutritional status of the normal is (21.5 ± 2.8). The contributions energy of snack is (66.5 ± 9.1)%, protein is (66.1 ± 11.2)%, Fat is (82.7 ± 10.7)%, Carbohydrate is (57.4 ± 9.5)%, Fe is (70.3± 12.9)%, Vitamin C is (93.3±10.1)%, Vitamin A is (93.3 ± 10.0)%, and Folic Acid is (73.3 ± 12.6)%. There is no relationship between the contribution energy of snack (r = 0.044), protein (r = 0.021), fat (r = 0.102), carbohydrate (r = -0006) and the body mass index  (p ≥ 0.05). There is no relationship between the contribution energy of snack (r = 0.026), protein (r = 0.007), Fe (r = 0.052), vitamin C (r = 0.123), vitamin A (r = 0.167), folic acid (r = 0.064) and Hb levels (p ≥ 0.05). More than half of average intake of nutrients contribution comes from snack. However, we need to increase the cost of eating at boarding school which can give more variation of food and the student wants to consume it.Key Words: Contribution nutrient of snack, Body Mass Indeks, Hb level AbstrakMakanan jajanan merupakan campuran dari berbagai bahan makanan yang diolah secara bersamaan dalam bentuk olahan. Makanan jajanan dapat memberi kontribusi zat gizi untuk memenuhi AKG. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kontribusi zat gizi makanan jajanan dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh dan Kadar Hb pada remaja putri. Desain penelitian ini cross-sectional dengan sampel adalah sebagian siswi pesantren Ibadurrahman. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dan didapat 99 responden. Uji statistik menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Sebagian Besar responden berumur 16 tahun, memiliki berat badan (49.1±4.7)kg, rata-rata tinggi badan (150.9±5.2)cm, Kadar Hb (11.8±0.6)mg/dl, dan berstatus gizi rata-rata normal (21.5±2.8). Kontribusi makanan jajanan didapat asupan energi (66.5±9.1)%, protein (66.1±11.2)%, Lemak (82.7±10.7)%, Karbohidrat (57.4±9.5)%, Fe (70.3±12.9)%, Vitamin C (93.3±10.1)%, Vitamin A (93.3±10.0)%, dan Asam Folat (73.3±12.6)%. Tidak ada hubungan antara kontribusi energi (r=0.044), protein (r=0.021), lemak (r=0.102), Karbohidrat (r=-0.006) dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh (p≥0.05). Abstract

Hand sanitizer products on the market generally contain alcohol which can cause dry hands and dehydration of the skin, therefore alternative ingredients that are skin-friendly and do not irritate the skin are needed such as the use of natural ingredients. One of them is bay leaf (Syzygium polyanthum). Salam plant is a plant that has antibacterial properties. The main ingredients that have antibacterial properties are flavonoids, tannins, essential oils, steroids, so that bay leaves can be used as a hand sanitizer to reduce alcohol use. The manufacture of bay leaf hand sanitizer is done by extracting the bay leaves with 96% ethanol solvent. The extraction results are then dissolved with other supporting materials which are certainly safe for health. It is hoped that the bay leaf hand sanitizer will be a safer alternative to hand sanitizers than alcohol-based hand sanitizers

Abstract

Transesterification of palm oil using a TiO2/nano-Monmorillorite (nano-MMT) composite catalyst from Aceh Tamiang bentonite in Biodiesel production has been carried out. Biodiesel is bioenergy obtained from vegetable oils, animal fats, microorganisms, and plants. This is alternative energy to replace fossil fuels, especially diesel oil. Biodiesel is proven to be more environmentally friendly in reducing hydrocarbon and sulfur emissions. In this study, TiO2 will be composited with nano-MMT using the solid-state method and analyzed using XRD. Both of these materials are used as catalysts for biodiesel production. The transesterification process will be used in the production of biodiesel, where the molar ratio of palm oil to methanol is 1:12. TiO2/nano-MMT composite catalyst will be varied (2 and 4 grams). Biodiesel samples will be analyzed using GC-MS. The results obtained show that the TiO2/nano-MMT composite catalyst from Aceh Tamiang bentonite can convert Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) from palm oil. The 2 grams of the composite catalyst produced biodiesel of 89.38% and 4 grams of 64.88%.

Abstract

Secara nasional kejadian kanker payudara menduduki urutan pertama dalam 10 tahun terakhir sampai tahun 2016. Kadar estradiol yang tinggi dan paparan estrogen dalam waktu lama memiliki peran yang cukup tinggi, salah satunya penggunaan kontrasepsi oral. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbedaan kadar hormone estradiol berdasarkan riwayat penggunaan kontrasepsi oral pada wanita kanker payudara dan tidak kanker payudara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode case control dengan jumlah populasi 36 wanita postmenopause kanker payudara dan 36 wanita postmenopause tidak kanker payudara. Hasil penelitian didapatkan tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara riwayat penggunaan kontrasepsi oral dengan kadar hormone estradiol pada kelompok kanker payudara dan tidak kanker payudara. Penggunaan kontrasepsi oral sebaiknya dibawah pengawasan tenaga kesehatan, untuk meminimalisir risiko kanker payudara. Konseling pra pemilihan alat kontrasepsi harus dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan, sesuai dengan rencana strategis BKKBN dalam “Strategis Pelaksanaan Program Keluarga Berencana Berbasis Hak untuk Percepatan Akses terhadap Pelayanan Keluarga Berencana dan Kesehatan Reproduksi yang Terintegrasi dalam Mencapai Tujuan Pembangunan Indonesia” yang salah satunya tentang tersedianya sistem penyediaan pelayanan KB yang merata dan berkualitas di sektor pemerintah dan swasta untuk menjamin agar setiap warga negara dapat memenuhi tujuan reproduksinya.
