Abstract

Analysis Of Seafarer Certification, Skills Ship Crew, And Ship Crew's Welfare As Mediation Variables Against Ship Operational Performance. This study aims to determine the effect of certification, skills, and welfare of the crew on the operational performance of ships at PT Amas Samudra Jaya. This study uses quantitative methods, with the number of samples based on the Slovin formula of as many as 100 respondents. Collecting data in the form of a statement sheet with a Likert scale model. To solve the problems the authors, use two methods of data collection, namely, field data (field research) and library data. Both methods of data analysis use path analysis with the Smartpls3 SEM model. The results of the analysis and discussion show that the first hypothesis has a significant positive direct effect on seafarers' certification on the welfare of crew members. Second, there is a significant positive direct effect of crew skills on the welfare of crew members. Third, there is a significant positive direct effect of seafarers' certification on the operational performance of ships. Fourth, there is a significant positive direct effect of crew skills on ship operational performance. Fifth, there is a significant positive direct effect on the welfare of the crew on the ship's operational performance. Sixth, the welfare of the crew can mediate seafarers' certification of the ship's operational performance. Seventh, the welfare of the crew can mediate the skills of the crew on the operational performance of the ship. Keywords: Seafarers Certification, Crew Skills, Crew Welfare, Ship Operational Performance

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the determination of port facilities and container flow growth mediated by spatial regulation toward the development of Makassar Port in the South Sulawesi province. The main problem of Makassar Port is the capacity of wharf and terminal container yard Hatta which has been almost in the optimal condition due to the limited port land which is in the center of Makassar City and has not been integrated with the transportation modes in the port area. This research uses the path analysis, with sample as many as 133 persons from Makassar Main Port Authority Office, Local Government of Makassar City, Pelabuhan Indonesia IV, and Makassar Container Terminal as well as Port Directorate of Directorate General of Sea Transportation. The result of this research states that there is no determination of Spatial Regulation which neither strengthens nor weakens the relationship between Port Facilities and Port Development. It is expected that the preparation of Regional Spatial Plan pays attention to the need for space to build port facilities by providing a space for port development. The unavailability of space will force the optimization of port facilities in the existing port and become a negative determination to the need for port development. It needs coordination with the Local Government so that the spatial regulation supports the development of Makassar Port.

Abstract

Problems that cause public transport less desirable because the rail network is still minimal, public transport services still need to be improved, full integration can not be realized and the development of Transit Oriented Development can not be implemented as a whole. This study was conducted to determine whether the service model and public policy were successful, therefore the study used variables namely; Perceived Quality; Trust; Passenger Satisfaction; Perceived Value; Passenger Preference; Passenger Loyalty, Behavior Intention to Purchase, and Transit Oriented Development as moderation. The data analysis methods in this study include Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA), and Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of the SMART PLS program. This study used a sample of 400 respondents. Based on the results of the analysis perceived quality, Passenger satisfaction, trust, and Passenger loyalty can have a positive and significant effect on behavior intention to purchase but perceived value does not have a significant effect, so the development of transit-oriented development can have a significant effect on loyalty and behavior intention to purchase. Important performance analysis to improve service performance, namely train travel without obstacles, high reliability, and integrated and single ticket system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic efficiency of airports in Angkasa Pura I, especially since the formation of the Tourism SOE holding in 2022 which changes airport operations. This study examines efficiency during the COVID-19 pandemic by introducing Air Traffic Movement (ATM), Air Passenger Movement (APM), and Air Cargo Movement (ACM) variables as output variables, which provide new insights that have not been explored before, especially the study in all Angkasa Pura I airports. This study uses quantitative research methods with non-parametric techniques to analyze efficiency and economies of scale in the aviation industry.  The analytical tool used is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) using STATA 17 software as the main tool to evaluate efficiency and economies of scale at 16 airports. The results revealed variations in the level of efficiency of economies of scale among airports, with some airports improving their efficiency in response to the pandemic. The study confirms the importance of effective management strategies, transparency in information dissemination, and continuous monitoring in shaping airports' economic efficiency.
