Abstract

In the last ten years, airline industry has grown rapidly and has made airport ramp or apron busy with its activities. The work time in this area is relatively short, causing the work pressure higher than other areas. It is not surprising that accidents and incidents are more potential to happen here. By identifying the hazard and risk, and then doing a risk analysis, the level of risk can be known using a qualitative method referring to the Australian/New Zealand Standard or AS/NZS 4360:2004. It is clear that the highest risks of ramp activities are noise, being struck by operational vehicles, and being squeezed by Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Meanwhile, the activities with high risk include fatigue, dust, being squeezed by hydraulic during preparation, being scratched by iron, improper body position when putting mannual GSE, being struck down by things, falling down, and getting lavatory water splashed on. Keywords: Risk Analysis, Work Accident, Airport Ramp Area.

Abstract

Implementation of busway that has been and are going to be implemented by the local government of DKI Jakarta through the Department of Transportation (Dinas Perhubungan) and the Agency of Busway management (BP) has met the expectation like infrastructure such as ticketing system, bis stops, bis facilities, human resources and publications, 2. Performance in implementating busway program, in general has shown its satisfaction level. Busway is considered as an alternative public transport that is safe, comfortable and punctual, 3. Evaluation of the implementation of the busway program since last year have shown satisfying results. Busway passengers are around 17.4 million. 7.6 percent has shifted from private transportation to busway. It is higher than the average of shift rate in the world that is only 4 to 5 percent. The income from this program in 2015 for DKI Jakarta is Rp. 42.7 billion and it also has successfully changed peoples attitude to use public transportaion. However, congestion problem is not significantly decreased.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze factors to prioritize the development of aviation professional ethics based on virtue ethics in Indonesia and to decide which best suitable strategy to accomplish the purpose. The data was taken from 8 (eight) aviation and ethics expertise and practitioners. The method of data analysis used Analytic Network Process (ANP) and Super Decisions software was employed to process the data. The result shows that the best and most effective strategy in developing aviation professional ethics based on virtue ethics in Indonesia is by applying the Virtous Leadership. The Virtue Ethics Approach is bound much with moral examples. It means, to ensure the professional and ethical employees in an organization, first thing to do is to assure that the leaders and managers of the organization can give examples and do the obligation with high commitment based on virtues values such as courageous character, honesty, and other cardinal virtues.

Abstract

The research aims to know and analyze the impact of business risk and capital structure on the growth of sea transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020. Some of the problems encountered in this study, among others, namely, high business risk can reduce company growth, high capital structure can reduce company growth and also high debt to shipping companies can lead to difficulties in determining the composition of capital structure. Path analysis is used to test the hypothesis proposed in this study by using the Partial Least Square application. The total sample of 45 consisted of nine companies with a five-year observation period taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed: business risk has no impact on firm growth, capital structure has no direct impact on company growth, business risk has a positive and significant direct impact on capital structure, and business risk does not directly impact company growth through capital structure mediation. The study concludes that business risk positively impacts capital structure, so the declining capital structure decreases business risk.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out and analyze the suitability of the crew and management perception related to work safety, protection of the marine environment and implementation of the ships’ operation using the International Safety Management Code in PT. Lautan Jaya Hasana. The main problem of the research is the lack of understanding and awareness of the crew and management of the importance to implement the ISM Code for work safety and to protect the marine environment. The ISM Code has not been implemented properly. This study used a Descriptive Qualitative method. There were 20 statements on understanding variables and actual implementation variables that were tested for validity and reliability. The samples were taken from 35 crew members from two types of bulk carriers by conducting in-depth interview with the crew members and the management employees. The result shows that most of the crew members, including the captain and the management of the company perform the same perception regarding the work safety, the protection of marine environment and the implementation of the International Safety Management Code for ships operation with a significant average difference and a perceived value of 9.20 between perceived understanding and actual implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain how social media marketing (such as Instagram) and ease of use affect consumer decisions, as well as how trust functions as a mediating factor in the relationship between social media marketing and ease of use and consumer decisions. There are two types of data that are used; primary data are gathered through questionnaires, and secondary data are gathered from books and journals. This study used probability sampling techniques with a simple random sampling method, namely with 170 respondents. The analysis method in this study uses SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Model - Partial Least Square). This study's findings indicate that trust has a major impact on purchase decisions, simplicity of use has a large impact on decisions, and social media marketing has no significant impact on decisions. Ease of use and social media marketing's influence on purchase decisions might be mitigated by the trust factor. If respondents trust online travel brokers, social media marketing will have an impact on their purchase decisions.

Abstract

Indonesia is located along the equator and at the convergence of three major tectonic plates, making it prone to natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and landslides. BNPB and BPBD manage disaster logistics using technology-based warehouse management systems (WMS) to improve aid distribution efficiency. This study examines the combined impact of warehouse management systems and employee capabilities on work productivity using a Lean Warehousing approach, which has not been extensively explored in previous research. The study was conducted at BNPB Jatiasih warehouse and BPBD warehouses across Java Island using observations, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to 98 respondents. Data were analyzed with SPSS 24.00, employing descriptive statistics, multiple regression, F-tests, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). Most respondents were male (76.8%) with a bachelor’s degree (39.8%). Validity tests showed that variables including inventory management, picking, item placement, employee skills, and lean warehousing had valid correlations above 0.202. Descriptive analysis indicated that warehouse management at BNPB and BPBD is effective but needs improvements in IT utilization, picking efficiency, inventory recording, and employee skills. Statistical tests confirmed that all variables significantly influence lean warehousing and productivity at a 95% confidence level. The study contributes novel insights by demonstrating how technology and employee capability synergistically enhance lean warehousing performance in disaster logistics. Strategic recommendations include routine employee training, strengthened cooperation through coaching and briefings, and optimized budget use via internal audits and independent utilization of logistical assets.
