Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan problematika yang dihadapi guru matematika dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka di tingkat SMP Negeri Kecamatan Lahewa Timur selama tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 dan 2024/2025. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan enam guru matematika dengan teknik pemilihan informan yaitu purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi untuk menggali secara mendalam pengalaman dan persepsi guru terkait implementasi kurikulum baru. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka SMP di Kecamatan Lahewa Timur. Analisis data akan dilakukan melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru matematika masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Sebagian besar guru belum memiliki pengalaman sebelumnya dalam menerapkan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi dan masih beradaptasi dengan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih student-centered. Keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana: Fasilitas pembelajaran yang ada, seperti laboratorium matematika dan media pembelajaran, belum sepenuhnya mendukung pelaksanaan Kurikulum Merdeka. Keterbatasan akses internet dan kurangnya referensi yang relevan menjadi kendala dalam pengembangan materi pembelajaran yang inovatif. Guru merasa kesulitan dalam menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran yang memenuhi semua aspek yang dituntut oleh Kurikulum Merdeka, terutama dalam hal penilaian autentik dan proyek berbasis masalah. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya upaya yang lebih komprehensif untuk mengatasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru, seperti pelatihan yang berkelanjutan, peningkatan sarana dan prasarana, serta penyediaan akses yang lebih luas terhadap sumber belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh hasil analisis masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika yang telah dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Agama Kristen (SMAK) Mekar Lauri, dimana ditemukan permasalahan, yaitu: 1) rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematika siswa dan 2) rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui taraf kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, 2) mengetahui taraf penguasaan literasi matematika siswa, serta 3) mengetahui apakah terdapat  korelasi antara penguasaan literasi matematika dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasi. Pengumplan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket dan tes. Angket digunakan untuk memperoleh data penguasaan literasi matematika siswa dan tes diberikan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Selanjutnya data yang telah diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas dan uji hipotesis. Dilihat dari hasil eksplorasi terlihat bahwa: 1) kemampuan literasi matematika siswa berada pada klasifikasi sedang dengan presentasi sebesar 88%, 2) kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berada pada kelas tinggi dengan total menunjukkan sebesar 92% dan 3) terdapat korelasi positif antara penguasaan literasi matematika dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan korelasi Pearson bernilai 0,668 sehingga terdapat korelasi kuat. Oleh sebab itu, bisa disimpulkan tolak  serta terima  yang berarti “terdapat korelasi antara penguasaan literasi matematika dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis”.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan inovasi pendidikan yang diinisiasi oleh pemerintah Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Implementasi kurikulum ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kebebasan kepada guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan inovatif. Latar belakang penelitian ini yakni penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di SMA di Kota Gunungsitoli yang sudah mulai diterapkan pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 khusus kelas X dan tahun ajaran 2023/2024 untuk kelas XI. Guru dalam hal ini meski sudah mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka namun sistem pembelajaran masih membutuhkan penyesuaian agar dapat menjalankan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan guru matematika di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kota Gunungsitoli dalam mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kualitatif Deskriptif, dengan menggunakan angket dan wawancara sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari guru matematika di 5 SMA di Kota Gunungsitoli yang telah mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka dengan jumlah informan 11 orang guru matematika, 5 orang kepala sekolah 1 orang wakil kepala sekolah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru matematika dalam mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka yaitu 86,18% berada pada rentang 76%-90% dengan kategori siap. Untuk meningkatkan kesiapan guru matematika dalam mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka, diperlukan upaya yang terkoordinasi dan pelatihan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of mathematical literacy skills on the learning outcomes of Santu Xaverius Gunungsitoli Private High School students. This research uses a type of quantitative experimental research using a one group pretest-posttest design. The object of this research is class X of Santu Xaverius Gunungsitoli Private High School. Data collection techniques use tests. The research instrument uses a pretest-posttest test. The data analysis technique uses the Independent Samples Test, which consists of the Kolmogorov-Smirnova normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the results of the research, analysis and discussion obtained from the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, in the experimental class posttest a significance value was obtained of 0.185 > 0.005 and in the control class posttest a significance value was obtained of 0.230> 0.005 while in the homogeneity test the significance value was obtained (sig 2- tailed) of 0.666> 0.05, which means the data is normally distributed. Meanwhile, in the Independent Samples Test, a significance (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained, which means that there is an influence of mathematical literacy ability on the learning outcomes of Santu Xaverius Private High School students. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan menggunakan bentuk one group preteest-posttest design. Objek penelitian ini adalah kelas X SMA Swasta Santu Xaverius Gunungsitoli. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Intrumen penelitian menggunakan tes pretest-posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Independent Samples Test, yang terdiiri dari uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnova dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, analisis dan pembahasan didapatkan dari uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, pada Posstest kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,185 > 0,005 dan pada posstest kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,230> 0,005 sedangkan pada uji homogenitas diperoleh nilai signifikansi (sig 2-tailed) sebesar 0,666> 0,05 yang artinya data berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan pada uji Independent Samples Test diperoleh signifikansi (sig. 2- tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya ada pengaruh Kemampuan literasi matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA Swasta Santu Xaverius.

Abstract

This study investigates the difficulties faced by junior high school students in solving mathematical problems, a critical aspect of mathematics education. Problem-solving is fundamental not only to the subject itself but also in developing students' cognitive and analytical skills. Through consistent practice, students can enhance their problem-solving abilities, which benefits both their academic growth and their everyday life problem-solving capabilities. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research aims to explore the challenges students encounter in mathematical problem-solving tasks. The study involved administering a test to assess students’ problem-solving abilities, yielding an average score of 62.11, categorized as moderate. The analysis of individual indicators revealed the following results: understanding the problem (62.31), planning the solution (54.32), solving the problem (42.38), and checking the solution (48.64). These findings suggest that while students demonstrate adequate ability in comprehending the problem, significant challenges remain in planning, solving, and verifying the solutions. Addressing these difficulties is essential for improving mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Each student has a different view of math lessons. For those who consider math fun, there will be motivation in students to learn mathematics and be optimistic in solving challenging problems in mathematics lessons. Learning motivation has a significant role in students' math learning outcomes. Several studies have shown a positive relationship between learning motivation and math learning achievement. A descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. The results obtained from the motivation questionnaire for students with low motivation were 42.86%, students with moderate motivation were 35.71% and students with high motivation were 21.34%. For each indicator of student learning motivation with an average of moderate. or the student learning outcomes test, the average was 62.31 with a medium category.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Learner Worksheet (LKPD) with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) approach to improve students' mathematical problem-solving ability that is valid, practical, and effective. Students' mathematical problem-solving ability that is valid, practical, and effective. This research is development research (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages of development, namely analysis, Design stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the LKPD with the STEM approach on the material “quadrilateral and triangle” has met the criteria of valid, effective, and effective. and triangle” have met the criteria of valid, practical, and effective. The validity results validity results obtained from material experts, linguists, and design experts obtained an average of 74.95%, while the practical results obtained were average of 74.95%, while the practical results of students obtained an average of 90.61%, and practical practical results of 90.61%, and the effectiveness test results obtained an average of 72,97. It can be concluded that the LKPD with the STEM approach is categorized as very valid, very practical, and very effective for improving students' mathematical problem solving skills. Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing the academic achievement of mathematics education students at Nias University. The researcher employed the CHAID method to address this research problem. Data was collected through an online survey distributed to Mathematics Education students from the 2020 to 2023 cohorts who were in their second to eighth semesters. The analysis results indicate that both the type of residence and gender significantly influence students' academic achievement. The analysis revealed that students who chose to live in dormitories or with their parents significantly obtained higher Grade Point Averages (GPAs) compared to those who chose to live with guardians or in rented accommodations. The findings of this study can be utilized to design more effective intervention programs to enhance students' academic achievement, particularly for those who choose specific types of residence. A deeper understanding of the factors influencing academic achievement is expected to serve as a foundation for efforts to improve the quality of education at Nias University..

Abstract

Early studies show that: (1) students' mathematical abilities are in the category of lacking; and (2) The learning process still does not utilize technology in an integrated manner. Therefore, LKPD was developed using a liveworksheet to overcome these problems. The purpose of this research is to develop a valid, practical and effective LKPD to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This research uses the ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation) development model. The instruments in this study are learning outcome tests, material expert validation questionnaires, linguist validation questionnaires, media expert validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the research, the LKPD developed has been tested and declared valid both in terms of material validity, language validity and media validity. Furthermore, the LKPD is also very practical based on the results of the teacher response questionnaire and the student response questionnaire. The LKPD developed is also effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills, as seen from the test scores of student learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that LKPD using the liveworksheet developed has met the expectations or objectives of the research.
