Abstract

Writing scientific papers is considered an important skill to be mastered by students. This relates to the writing of scientific papers as part of the tridharma of higher education. On the other hand, writing scientific papers can stimulate the growth of critical, analytical, and new ideas. However, many students complain that they lack ideas and can't find anything interesting to write about. In fact, many of them have to extend their study period because they have not finished their thesis. This is all constrained by the low ability of writing scientific papers among students. Therefore, the community service that the author does is training in writing skills (writing skills) in writing scientific papers at the Riring-Rumasalah Ambonese Student Association (PRRA). This training is carried out with a classical training pattern and focus group discussions in small groups. The results of this training show that the students' ability to write scientific articles is quite low, so they need further assistance

Abstract

Natural resources found on land in local plantations in Maluku, especially among indigenous communities in their petuanan (land holdings), constitute both individual and community wealth. Ownership of plantation land with economic value can support community well-being, particularly the production of local crops, which have been a favorite from ancient times to the present day. Cloves, while always possessing economic value, also possess historical and cultural values deeply embedded in the community. Ancestors, in their time, established a local plant ecosystem with strategic long-term economic value for themselves, their children, and grandchildren. The purpose of these plants was to enable parents to provide economic protection for their families. Thus, with the presence of local clove plants, a long-lived plant, economic security and prosperity are ensured for their descendants. Being lulled by the legacy of plants passed down from parents or ancestors has resulted in the current rejuvenation process being devalued, as social shifts in perspectives have rendered today's descendants oblivious to the existence of these local plants. It is important to build awareness and social behavior in the community regarding the importance of local plants as a long-term economic strategy, but also as a socio-cultural identity of the local community

Abstract

This community outreach initiative is driven by the limited awareness among the community regarding the abundant breadfruit potential thriving in the city of Ambon, which serves as an attractive resource for supporting tourism and providing a positive economic impact on the local population. Breadfruit trees are widespread along the streets and in residents' yards, possessing significant historical value for the people of Ambon. Breadfruit has long been an integral part of Ambonese culture and traditions. Consequently, empowering the community through socialization and holistic training methods is of utmost importance. This project was conducted in the village of Latuhalat, Nusaniwe District, Ambon City, Maluku Province, and was attended by local government officials, community leaders, community groups who own breadfruit trees, as well as entrepreneurs/producers and sellers of breadfruit-based products. The project progressed smoothly and effectively, resulting in increased participant understanding and knowledge, fostering awareness about the promotion and marketing of breadfruit products, and further enhancing the community's ability to manage the local breadfruit potential in support of sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

The people in the Land of Tulehu are a society characterized by a homogeneous society in the Orang Tulehu community, but in the social development of the community until this decade, the existence of the Buton People in the lordship or rights of the Orang Tulehu territory cannot be denied to have existed and settled together in a common settlement area. In this social reality, the social process through social interaction occurs between these two communities and ultimately forms social cohesion that is strengthened by common social solidarity in the environment and areas of common social life. The creation of social cohesion and solidarity between two people with different socio-cultural lives since the arrival of the Buton people to the land of the Tulehu people, gives an idea of the social reality, that there is good solidarity between the two, and in the end does not cause conflicts or social friction between the Tulehu people and the Buton people. Based on the conditions and situations described by the Tulehu and Buton people, this study shows that the Tulehu and Buton people are able to maintain the social solidarity that has been created for so long from their ancestors by building cooperative relations between others, and even open to accepting inter-ethnic marriages, which ultimately creates social cohesion and sustainable social solidarity.
