Abstract

Briket aromaterapi merupakan inovasi untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah dari briket arang, briket aroma terapi merupakan campuran dari limbah mebel dan jahe sebagai aromaterapinya dengan perekat tapioka dan bubur koran. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan membantu mitra memanfaatkan limbah mebel menjadi produk alternatif yang ramah lingkungan dan memiliki nilai jual. Metode yang diterapkan, dengan mengenalkan dan memberikan informasi melalui ceramah serta diskusi, melatih dan melakukan eksperimen. Dalam kegiatan ini, masyarakat dan pengusaha mebel diminta secara langsung terlibat aktif mengikuti kegiatan ini sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman, pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan limbah mebel menjadi produk breket aromaterapi yang memiliki nilai tambah. Dari beberapa percobaan yang sudah dilakukan maka didapatlah kompisisi perbandingan sebagai berikut: bubuk briket halus dan tapioka = 8:1, tepung tapioka dan air = 1:7, tapioka dan bubur koran = 1:1, adonan (bubuk briket + tapioka + bubur koran) dan jahe parut = 1:1. Briket aromaterapi memiliki keuntungan: bahan yang murah dan ekonomis, tidak beracun, ramah lingkungan, tahan lama, aman bagi kesehatan, tanpa tambahan bahan kimia, memiliki aroma menyegarkan dan menjaga kesehatan pernapasan. Dengan adanya briket aromaterapi ini Kemang Jaya Mebel memiliki suatu usaha baru dalam memanfaat limbah mebel tersebut.

Abstract

It is known that the income earned by breeders is still not optimal, so it is quite difficult to obtain higher profits. Based on the problems in this study, how to analyze factors of production, total costs, income, business efficiency and Break Event Point broiler farms in partnership Pokphand chickens and how business development strategies can be applied. This study aims to analyze the advantages of Mitra Pokphand Chicken Livestock to then determine the right development strategy by utilizing the strengths and opportunities that this livestock business has. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The data that has been obtained is analyzed using descriptive analysis, business analysis and SWOT analysis using the IFE/EFE matrix. The results showed that the size of Mitra Pokphand's business income was influenced by revenue and production costs. For breeders to increase their income, it is hoped that livestock owners can reduce production costs. Meanwhile, based on the SWOT analysis IE matrix, the broiler business in Mitra Pokphand Chicken Livestock is in cell IV position which indicates that the strategy needed for the business is to grow and develop (growth and build). This strategy shows that livestock businesses need strategies to grow better and to develop broiler farming businesses to be better.

Abstract

Community service is an integral part of the Tri Dharma of higher education, aiming to contribute positively to society. Masjid Silaturahim has faced challenges in achieving financial independence, limiting its ability to provide comfortable facilities for congregants. Additionally, mosque youth lack entrepreneurial spirit and opportunities to develop their potential. The objectives of empowering mosque youth is to enhance mosque financial independence through entrepreneurship managed by mosque youth and developing creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship among mosque youth. Therefore, empowering mosque youth employed a community-based research approach providing education and information on designing and constructing a soap mixer machine.producing liquid dishwashing soap and calculating production costs. The outcomes from this activity are mosque youth can manage a mosque-based entrepreneurship venture by producing and marketing liquid dishwashing soap to be marketed in the community around the Silaturahim Mosque (Jalan Tangguk Bongkar) and traditional markets as well as increased mosque revenue through product sales

Abstract

SMKN 3 students use tables and chairs for approximately six hours a day during the teaching and learning process. If the sitting posture of this student is not correct, such as leaning forward or a footrest that is too high, of course it can cause pain in the waist and pain in the knees. This study aims to make tables and chairs that are comfortable for use by students of SMKN 3 MEDAN and to find out the design for ergonomic tables and chairs so that when using tables and chairs students do not feel pain in the waist or other complaints. This study resulted in a new table and chair design. Based on the calculation results, the results of the new chair dimensions were as follows: table height 71.15 cm, table length 58 cm, table width cm, seat cushion width 32 cm, seat cushion length 43 cm, height seat cushion 40 cm, backrest height 54 cm. The dimensions of the bag are 10 cm for width, 40 cm for height, 30 cm for length. Therefore the tables and chairs that have been redesigned are in accordance with the anthropometry of students at SMKN 3 MEDAN

Abstract

PT. Florindo Makmur is a company that processes cassava into tapioca flour as a finished product. This company requires productivity measurements to describe the success of a company in utilizing the resources it has to achieve maximum results. This research aims to determine the level of productivity using the American Productivity Center method and carry out further analysis of the results obtained using a fishbone diagram if a decrease in productivity is found. The type of data used in this research is secondary data, where the data obtained is a copy of data that is already owned by the company. The results of this research show that the productivity index decreased by -17.71% from the previous year which was due to a partial decrease in productivity in the input elements of labor and raw materials. The profitability index rose by +1.20%. And the price improvement index increased by +22.97%.

Abstract

Every company in the industrial sector, whether large, medium or small, requires effective raw material inventory control to ensure operational continuity and reducse costs. Mr. Abdul’s Tofu Factory, an example of an UMKM that was founded in 2011, produces tofu with the main raw material being soybeans (Glycine max), which has high demain the market. However, the processing of soybean raw material supplies at this factory is not yet optimal, characterized by excess stock which results in increased costs and unplanned purchases of raw materials. This research aims to analyze inventory control of soybean raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) methods to determine the most economical order quantity. Data one the Purchase and use of soybeans at Mr Abdul’s Tofu Factory in the period January-December 2022 was analyzed. The research results show what the POQ method is more efficient than EOQ, with an optimal order quantity of 2.514,40 kg and frequency of purchases twice a year. The POQ  method is able to produce total inventory costs of IDR 3.788.290,55, lower than other methods. Therefore,the application of the POQ method is recommended to minimize inventory costs at Mr Abdul’s Tofu Factory and increase operational efficiency.

Abstract

Pabrik Tahu Sumedang ABC adalah suatu industri yang bergerak dalam bidang pembuatan tahu dan tempe. Pabrik ini berlokasi di  Kota Binjai, Sumatera Utara. Jumlah tenaga kerja untuk pembuatan  tahu tungku 2 sebanyak 6 orang dan pembuatan tempe sebanyak 3 orang. Pada tahun 2022 terdapat permintaan tahu dan tempe yang tidak dapat dipenuhi oleh pabrik. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah tingginya tingkat beban kerja yang dialami oleh operator. Terdapat stasiun kerja Pabrik Tahu Sumedang ABC yang mengalami ketidakseimbangan antara beban kerja dengan jumlah pekerja yang ada sehingga menimbulkan kelelahan dan denyut nadi yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Cardiovascular Load (%CVL) terdapat pekerja yang memiliki nilai %CVL >30% yaitu operator 1,2, dan 3 sebesar 37,6%, 32,7%, dan 34% untuk pabrik tahu tungku 2 dan pekerja 1 sebesar 34,5% untuk pabrik tempe. Kemudian dilakukan perhitungan jumlah tenaga kerja berdasarkan beban kerja menggunakan Workload Analysis (WLA). Pada perhitungan kebutuhan pekerja menggunakan workload analysis terdapat pekerja yang memiliki nilai beban kerja yang berlebih yaitu pekerja 1,2, 3 untuk pabrik tahu tungku 2 dan pekerja 1 untuk pabrik tempe sehingga diperlukan adanya perbaikan. Rekomendasi penambahan tenaga kerja tahu tungku 2 sebanyak 2 orang sehingga total tenaga kerja tahu tungku 2 menjadi 8 orang dan penambahan tenaga kerja pabrik tempe sebanyak 1 orang sehingga total tenaga kerja menjadi 4 orang.

Abstract

Terhentinya suatu proses di lantai produksi sering disebabkan adanya masalah dalam mesin atau peralatan produksi tersebut, misalnya kerusakan mesin yang tidak terdeteksi selama proses produksi berlangsung, menurunnya kecepatan produksi mesin, lamanya waktu set-up dan adjustment, menghasilkan produk yang cacat. Hal ini tentunya sangat merugikan pihak perusahaan karena selain dapat menurunkan tingkat produktivitas dan efisiensi mesin atau peralatan yang secara langsung mengakibatkan adanya biaya yang harus dikeluarkan akibat kerusakan tersebut juga dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kepercayaan konsumen yang diakibatkan tanggal pemesanan tidak terpenuhi. Untuk menjaga kondisi mesin tersebut agar tidak mengalami kerusakan ataupun meminimalkan jenis waktu kerusakannya sehingga proses produksi tidak terlalu lama berhenti, maka dibutuhkannya sistem perawatan dan pemeliharaan mesin atau peralatan yang baik dan tepat sehingga hasilnya dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan efesiensi mesin atau peralatan dan kerugian yang di akibatkan oleh kerusakan mesin dapat terhindar. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) adalah salah satu program untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi perusahaan pada semua bidang dengan melibatkan semua pihak, semua departemen dan kelompok semua orang. Dari pengolahan data dapat diperoleh penjadwalan komponen mesin yang optimum. Untuk 1 tahun kalender penjadwalan.

Abstract

PT. PSU Tanjung Kasau is one of the BUMD’s of North Sumatra Province in the agricultural sector. The product produced is Crude Palm Oil (CPO). CPO has quality parameters, namely free fatty acid (FFA) content, water content and dirt content. Based on data on the results of CPO production quality in January and February 2024, there are still several quality parameters that exceed the standards set by the company. Therefore, to determine the level of quality, factors that cause a decrease in the CPO level, and proposed improvements, research was carried out using the Six Sigma method with the stages of define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC). After processing, the CPO DPMO value was obtained of 676,451.85 with a sigma value of 1.04. Then using the Pareto diagram, it was obtained that the water content and free fatty acid content caused a decrease in CPO quality. Then based on the fishbone diagram, the human factor was obtained which was a lack of discipline, the material factor was bad qualityof TBS, and the machine factor was less than optimal machine performance and the method factor was not in accordance with the SOP. Proposed improvements to overcome the problems include conducting training and evaluation, increasing the supply of TBS and improving infrastructure, conducting regular monitoring and maintenance of machines, improving SOP’s and implementing SOP’s so that corporate governance can run well. Abstract

Di tengah persaingan bisnis kuliner yang semakin ketat, kualitas pelayanan menjadi faktor kunci dalam mempertahankan loyalitas pelanggan. Treat Coffee and Beans, sebagai salah satu kedai kopi yang berkembang di Kota Medan, menghadapi tantangan dalam memenuhi ekspektasi pelanggan terhadap layanan yang cepat, ramah, dan nyaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan Treat Coffee and Beans dengan menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner terhadap 98 pelanggan tetap dan wawancara dengan manajemen. Hasil analisis House of Quality menunjukkan bahwa atribut kebersihan dan kenyamanan restoran, kecepatan pelayanan, serta keramahan staf merupakan aspek yang paling diprioritaskan pelanggan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, upaya peningkatan yang direkomendasikan meliputi penambahan tenaga kerja saat jam sibuk, pelatihan pelayanan bagi staf, serta penerapan sistem digital dalam pencatatan pesanan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan QFD efektif dalam mengidentifikasi kebutuhan utama pelanggan dan merumuskan strategi peningkatan layanan yang tepat sasaran dan berorientasi pada kepuasan pelanggan.
