Abstract

Tourism villages contribute significantly to Bali's economic development by promoting rural entrepreneurship. However, the sector faces challenges such as low product quality, ineffective marketing, and competition from low-cost imported products. This study explores collaboration and diversification strategies to ensure the economic sustainability of Bali’s village tourism and rural businesses. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews, then analyzed using the SWOT method to assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results highlight the importance of community involvement, partnership networks, creative product development, effective marketing, and long-term business management. Findings from four villages indicate that collaboration with local industries and sustainable tourism initiatives enhances community income. To support sustainable tourism and improve community welfare, it is recommended that the government and stakeholders strengthen the promotion of local products and maximize the cultural and economic potential of villages.

Abstract

The duality that refers to dimensions and illusions becomes an interest in creating a unified work. Dimensions and illusions have different meanings from each other. Dimensions have space (length, width and height) while illusions (optical art) can only be enjoyed from one side (front view). Basic things like this can be developed into various visuals. The output produced by illusions and dimensions complement each other, as dimensions can produce illusions of what is seen, and vice versa, illusions can produce space or dimensions due to the influence of colors and lines. The work of creating this thesis combines the two concepts (dimensionality and illusion) into a unified work. Knowing the weakness of the sense of sight in capturing an object, it seems to be of particular interest if you succeed in realizing a work that has a convex volume that appears concave, or conversely that a concave object appears convex. The basic reason for this creation was to explore the basic elements of fine art into contemporary works of art. It is also hoped that it can provide wider knowledge to the public regarding ideas that cross the boundaries of fine art conventions.

Using software to support the editing such as Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, Adobe Indesign, Adobe PremierePro. The knowledge gained while in college such as Still Life Techniques, Basic Photography Techniques, Use of Lenses and the effects of each lens, is useful in carrying out the internship. So between theory and practice gained in college, it is appropriate and useful in an internship at Tuksedo Studio.

Abstract

The local culinary industry has great potential to attract tourists, but is often hampered by a lack of attractive packaging and effective marketing strategies. This research aims to find out how THK-based packaging design can influence consumer perceptions and purchasing decisions regarding tourism products in Bali and the challenges faced in implementing THK-based packaging. The research uses qualitative methods to gain an in-depth understanding of how the Tri Hita Karana (THK) principles can be integrated into tourism products and how this influences the tourist experience. In-depth interviews can be conducted with relevant stakeholders, such as tourism product developers, marketers and tourists. Through interviews, researchers can understand their perceptions and experiences regarding the implementation and impact of THK in tourism products. In this research, an ethnographic study was also carried out, which involved participatory observation at Bali tourist locations, which will help researchers gain insight into daily interactions between tourists, local communities and the environment. This method is useful for seeing directly how THK principles are integrated into daily practice and how this influences the tourist experience. Through this method, several Balinese culinary product designs were discovered, in the form of food and drinks that combine the Tri Hita Karana (THK) principles. The Packaging of Culinary products in the form of food and drinks sold around tourist attractions and souvenir shops not only offer uniqueness, but also imbue tourists with values rooted in Balinese culture.

Abstract

The jewelry craft industry in Celuk Village, Bali, has long been recognized as a center of silver and gold craftsmanship that contributes significantly to the region’s tourism economy. This study analyzes the Celuk Jewelry Festival (CJF) as an event-based tourism initiative that not only promotes local products but also functions as a strategic platform for managing the interplay between cultural capital and economic capital. Using a qualitative approach with cultural studies and Bourdieu’s framework of habitus, field, and capital, the research explores how craftsmen, entrepreneurs, and local government negotiate their roles within the dynamics of production, distribution, and consumption. Findings indicate that the CJF strengthens Celuk’s brand image as a jewelry hub, enhances market access for local craftsmen, and creates opportunities for innovation while facing challenges of technology-driven reproduction and global competition. The study concludes that events such as the CJF act as catalysts for sustaining the creative economy in tourism villages, balancing tradition and innovation, and positioning cultural heritage as a competitive advantage in the global market.
