Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe the quality assurance system in higher education. The type of research is qualitative research with literature study. Data collection is done by searching for sources and constructing them from various sources such as books, journals and research that has already been carried out. Meanwhile, in analyzing the data, data triangulation, member checking and auditing techniques were used, as well as data analysis techniques according to Miles & Huberman, namely data reduction, data display and conclusions. The research findings are that educational institutions need to carry out quality assurance processes both internally and externally. Responsibility for the quality of higher education is completely handed over to the university concerned. To become an effective higher education institution, it can utilize all the resources it has, such as lecturers as teaching staff and educational staff who are elements of higher education human resources; in addition to material resources, machines including facilities and energy, money, and information including data owned by universities. Efforts to develop the quality of HEIs are carried out by increasing student capacity directed towards relevant fields, increasing link and match in terms of abilities and skills, as well as improving the quality of lecturers. Monitoring and evaluation must be carried out as well as the stages of determination, implementation, evaluation, control and improvement (PPEPP) in implementing quality assurance, so that it does not deviate from the goals that have been set and can provide the best results for parents, students, and most importantly the world market. work both domestically and abroad.

Abstract

Peningkatan perkembangan masyarakat sangat bergantung pada peran lembaga pendidikan tinggi, yang meliputi pengajaran, penelitian, pengabdian masyarakat, dan di perguruan tinggi Muhammadiyah yang diperluas dengan penambahan aspek Al Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK).Pendidikan tinggi berkualitas penting bagi negara, berkontribusi pada ekonomi, demokrasi, identitas bangsa, dan reputasi internasional.Sistem Penjaminan Mutu (SPM) diperlukan untuk mengawasi kualitas pendidikan.Organisasi pembelajar seperti Corporate University (CU) membantu dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan tinggi dengan fokus pada pembelajaran berkelanjutan.Penelitian ini menjelaskan penerapan CU pada Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro sebagai acuan untuk penerapan yang dapat dilakukan pada perguruan tinggi Muhammadiyah/Aisyiyah di Indonesia.Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif dengan kajian literatur dalam pengumpulan data.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan CU mendukung pembelajaran berkelanjutan dan pengembangan organisasi.Tantangan dalam implementasi meliputi hambatan individu dan organisasi yang perlu diatasi untuk memaksimalkan manfaat dari model organisasi pembelajar.

Abstract

Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisis integrasi manajemen mutu ke dalam kebijakan pendidikan nasional dan dampaknya terhadap mutu pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis kebijakan pendidikan di berbagai negara. Subjek penelitian meliputi kebijakan pendidikan nasional, dokumen kebijakan resmi, dan laporan evaluasi kualitatif terkait. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup studi pustaka menyeluruh dan wawancara dengan ahli pendidikan. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengkodean dan analisis tematik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi yang signifikan dalam pendekatan dan implementasi kebijakan integrasi manajemen mutu di berbagai wilayah. Beberapa wilayah menekankan standar mutu dan akuntabilitas, sementara yang lain lebih fokus pada aspek aksesibilitas dan kesetaraan. Implementasi kebijakan juga bervariasi, dengan beberapa wilayah menghadapi kesulitan dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip manajemen mutu secara efektif karena keterbatasan sumber daya dan tantangan struktural lainnya.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa integrasi manajemen mutu ke dalam kebijakan pendidikan nasional memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, tetapi suksesnya implementasi sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor kontekstual dan budaya setempat. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan yang fleksibel dan adaptif diperlukan untuk memastikan keberhasilan kebijakan tersebut. Disarankan untuk melakukan studi lebih lanjut yang melibatkan lebih banyak negara dan pemangku kepentingan untuk memperdalam pemahaman tentang dinamika kompleks dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan secara global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran dan keterbatasan Statuta Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro (UM Metro) dalam mendukung efektivitas manajemen strategis serta dampaknya terhadap daya saing dan responsivitas institusi terhadap perubahan lingkungan eksternal. Menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Statuta memainkan peran penting dalam mengarahkan kebijakan strategis, fleksibilitas dalam pengambilan keputusan terbatas, yang dapat menghambat responsivitas terhadap perubahan eksternal. Proses penyusunan Statuta melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan internal, seperti rektorat, senat, dan Badan Pembina Harian (BPH), serta pihak eksternal, termasuk alumni, dosen, dan pemangku kepentingan industri, untuk memastikan bahwa Statuta mencerminkan kebutuhan internal dan tuntutan eksternal. Namun, meskipun mencakup komponen-komponen penting seperti kebijakan akademik, struktur organisasi, dan manajemen sumber daya manusia, Statuta masih kurang mengakomodasi inovasi teknologi dan keberlanjutan yang diperlukan untuk mempertahankan daya saing global. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar dilakukan tinjauan berkala terhadap Statuta, menambahkan pedoman digitalisasi dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran dan administrasi, serta menyusun strategi keberlanjutan yang terintegrasi untuk memastikan daya saing jangka panjang dan adaptabilitas perguruan tinggi terhadap perkembangan global di bidang pendidikan.

Abstract

Background: The quality of education is a crucial indicator of a teacher's professionalism, especially in complex subjects like mathematics. Improving the quality of mathematics education requires structured initiatives aimed at developing teacher professionalism through effective changes.Aim: This study aims to analyze and identify quality management practices in mathematics education and how these practices contribute to the development of teacher professionalism in madrasah.Method: This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The objects of the study include quality management in education, mathematics learning, and professional teachers, while the subjects are mathematics teachers teaching in madrasas. Data were collected through observation and interviews. Data analysis was conducted which involves data reduction, data presentation, data display, and conclusion.Results: The research findings indicate that during the planning stage, teachers design lessons by considering the existing curriculum, lesson plans (RPP), and innovative teaching methods and media, adapting to technological and communication advancements. Teachers are selected based on their educational qualifications and mathematical skills. Organization involves preparing teachers to manage learning activities, including providing assistance to students in need. Leadership training and development are also provided to enhance classroom management. The implementation of learning consists of introductory, core, and closing stages, focusing on developing teachers' creativity and work ethic. Evaluation is conducted after the learning process to identify and address deficiencies in mathematics teaching and assessment.Conclusion: The quality of mathematics education in fostering professional teachers in madrasas is based on management functions, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating.

Abstract

Writing dozens of reports every semester in physics practicum is often a heavy burden for students, so a more efficient and innovative reporting method is needed to ease their tasks without reducing the quality of learning. This study analyzes the use of video in reporting physics practicum results to ease the burden on students in writing reports. Through videos, students can present information, explain concepts, and demonstrate the application of physics theories in a dynamic and interactive manner. Videos are expected to improve the quality of practicum reports, provide constructive feedback, and promote UM Metro's physics education program. This study used quantitative and descriptive qualitative methods with purposive sampling, involving 6th semester Physics Education students who took astronomy courses. Data were obtained from practicum video assessment rubrics, student response questionnaires, and in-depth interviews, analyzed through a 1-5 Likert scale. This study found that the Project-Based Learning model with video as a practicum report was effective in improving the self-learning of Physics Education students. The title of the video (97.27%) was most attractive, but improvement was needed in time management (55.00%) and simulation of results (67.27%).
