Abstract

Cangkang helm adalah bagian dari safety helmet yang berfungsi sebagai pelindung utama. Banyak model safety helmet yang terjual dilapangan masih menggunakan bahan polimer sebagai bahan utama, dan masih jarang menggunakan material komposit sebagai bahan pembuatnya. Sehingga pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan kajian jenis material apakah yang sesuai untuk digunakan pada safety helmet selain polimer. Material yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah komposit epoksi/rami, komposit epoksi/goni, komposit e-glass fibre/epoksi, dan polimer polypropylene. Pemodelan safety helmet dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak Solidworks 2022, sedangkan untuk analisis tegangan dilakukan pada model menggunakan perangkat lunak Ansys 18.1. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah menemukan bahan pembuat safety helmet yang terbaik dengan dasar pada margin of safety (MS). Tujuan tersebut merupakan salah satu kebaharuan pada penelitian ini selain desain cangkang safety helmet baru yang beda dari yang di pasaran. Kondisi batas yang menjadi beban muatan model adalah gaya vertikal dari atas permukaan benda searah sumbu ”“y sebesar 7500 N yang dilakukan pada kondisi diam atau statis. Hasil analisis   menunjukkan bahwa model cangkang safety helmet yang memiliki MS tertinggi adalah model yang menggunakan material komposit e-glass fibre/epoksi yaitu sebesar 7, 104. Sedangkan model dengan material epoxy/goni menempati urutan yang ke-2 dengan nilai MS 6,457 kemudian model dengan material polypropylene dengan MS 4,98 dan epoxy /rami dengan MS 3,02. Hasil analisis besarnya massa menunjukkan model helm dengan material dari polypropylene memiliki massa yang paling ringan dengan massa sebesar 0,294 kg, kemudian Epoxy/rami dengan massa sebesar 0,405 kg, Epoxy/goni dengan massa sebesar 0,521dan e-glass fiber/epoxy dengan massa sebear 0,586 kg. Meskipun material e-glass fiber/epoxy memiliki massa yang paling besar, namun nilai MS yang dihasilkan merupakan yang paling tinggi, sehingga dapat direkomendasikan sebagai bahan alternatif untuk membuat safety helmet.

Abstract

Along with the advancement of modern times and technology, the metal sector plays a critical role in sustaining present growth. The industry's increased competitiveness has hampered the development of numerous small-scale metal casting industries. A crucible made of local graphite can only be used not more than ten melting cycles. This research aims to examine the influence of firing temperature on the density, porosity, impact strength, and macrostructure of graphite, kaolin and castable cement crucible materials. This research applies experiment method at various firing temperature, i.e. 850 °C, 900 °C, 950 °C, 1000 °C and 1050 °C. The crucible materials are made of graphite, kaolin, and castable cement. The firing process employs a heating rate of 5 °C/min and a holding time 2 hours. The results show that firing temperature influences the density, porosity, impact strength and macrostructure of crucible. The highest density at 1.86 grams/cm3 was obtained at the firing temperature of 1050 °C. The lowest porosity value of 41% was attained at firing temperature of 1050 °C. However, this value was still below the crucible index criterion. The highest impact strength of 0.003249 Joule/mm2 occurred for firing temperature of 1050 °C.

Abstract

Tujuan program kemitraan masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberdayakan PPK Ajar Tani Desa Peron yang telah memiliki usaha pengolahan kopi untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk sehingga berpeluang memenuhi kebutuhan kopi nasional dan berpotensi ekspor dengan menggunakan mesin inovasi teknologi milik pengusul. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunankan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu: sosialisasi program, pelatihan penggunaan mesin (sangrai dan penggiling) dan pelatihan pembukuan keuangan serta pelatihan pemasaran daring, penerapan teknologi mesin (mesin sangrai dan penggiling) pada proses produksi mitra dan penerapan pembukuan keuangan, serta penerapan online marketplace, pendampingan dan evaluasi program selama kegiatan,  keberlanjutan program dengan mendorong mitra meningkatkan kapasitas usaha melalui pendampingan. Metode pembuatan dan penerapan teknologi dengan menerapkan teknik dari bidang ilmu terkait, seperti desain, manufaktur, akuntansi, teknologi informasi komunikasi, dan desain grafis. Hasil dari program kemitraan masyarakat ini adalah: telah diterapkan 1 unit mesin sangrai kapasitas 5kg/jam dan mesin penggiling berkapasitas 75kg/jam yang hemat energi dan minim cacat, disertai pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan sesuai SOP, telah diterapkan pembukuan keuangan format Excel disertai pelatihan penyusunannya, mitra tidak mengeluarkan biaya transportasi untuk proses sangrai dan penggilingan,  terdapat penghematan proses sangrai biji kopi mitra sebesar 56% dan penghematan biaya penggilingan sebesar 92%, diperoleh data proksimat produk kopi, dihasilkan desain label kemasan produk mitra yang menarik, diterapkan media pemasaran online marketplace disertai pelatihannya, terdapat income generate hasil persewaan mesin roasting dan mesin penggiling sebesar 15%, produk mitra telah dipasarkan skala nasional melalui distribustor di Jakarta dan Bali, pendapatan mitra mengalami peningkatan 15% dari penghematan biaya produksi dan peningkatan penjualan pada beberapa mitra distributor.

Abstract

Introduction: Sishankamrata is Indonesia's defence and security system that optimizes all nation components to maintain its existence. Sishankamrata emphasizes the collaboration and participation of citizens and related institutions. However, there was a legal vacuum before the National Security Law was enactedPurposes of the Research: This study seeks to discuss and analyze the urgency of the formation of the National Security Law to make the implementation of Sishankamrata successful.Methods of the Research: This research is normative legal research with a statutory and conceptual approach. The legal materials in this study include the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and the law governing national defence as the primary legal material. Secondary legal materials include books, articles, and research results. Non-legal materials include all non-legal studies related to national defence.Results of the Research: The results of the study confirm that the legal vacuum of the National Security Law needs to be overcome with the immediate ratification of the Law by emphasizing the urgency of enacting the Law through political will between the President and the DPR. In the future formulation, the Law must be reviewed formally and materially, especially by involving community participation and substantively guaranteeing the rights of the community in Sishankamrata.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara maritim dengan sumber daya perikanan yang melimpah, menghadapi berbagai permasalahan dalam sektor perikanan, khususnya terkait dengan kapal ikan. Beberapa masalah utama termasuk mematuhi regulasi, menggunakan kapal dengan teknologi yang tidak memadai, dan praktik penangkapan ikan yang merusak lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung nilai torsi dan gaya dorong yang dihasilkan dari baling-baling kapal ikan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi kapal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) menghitung dan mensimulasikan pengaruh gaya dorong dan torsi pada baling-baling terhadap sudut kemiringan poros 0°, 30°, 50°, dan 60°. Sebelum melakukan simulasi, proses validasi telah dilakukan dengan nilai error di bawah 5% dalam kondisi lurus tanpa kemiringan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa baling-baling dengan posisi kemiringan 50° memiliki nilai gaya dorong dan torsi yang optimal dengan nilai gaya dorong 55809 N dan torsinya adalah 72111,5 Nm. Hal ini hasil analisis tersebut pada Propeller kapal ikan dapat berdampak besar pada kesejahteraan nelayan, keberlanjutan lingkungan, dan efisiensi operasional. Desain Propeller yang lebih efisien, hambatan hidrodinamis yang lebih rendah, dan efisiensi bahan bakar dapat dicapai melalui hasil simulasi CFD yang optimal.

Abstract

Kec. Limbangan, Kab. Kendal terutama di Desa Peron merupakan daerah perbukitan penghasil kopi. UKM KOMADI yang mengolah pasca panen kopi menjadi produk grean bean dan kopi bubuk di Desa Peron mengalami berbagai permasalahan aspek produksi dan manajemen dalam mengembangkan usahanya. Permasalahan aspek produki diatasi melalui penerapan TTG beserta pelatihannya, pelatihan keuangan, dan pendampingan yang direncanakan selama 8 bulan. Permasalahan aspek produksi yakni ketiadaan mesin pulper berkualitas, sehingga pengolahan di Kecamatan berbeda berbiaya tinggi. Solusinya dan luaran diterapkan dan dilatihkan 1unit mesin mesin zero defect coffee pulper 600kg/jam yang hemat energi. Produk mitra belum dianalisis kandungan proksimat diatasi dengan menganalisis proksimat produk mitra. Manajemen keuangan mitra belum tertata diatasi dengan membuat pelaporan keuangan sesuai kebutuhan mitra. Kemasan produk tidak menarik dan tidak lengkap informasi, sehingga diterapkan 1 desain kemasan menarik dilengkapi informasi produk. Luaran lain dari program pengabdian ini adalah Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah permasalahan produksi mitra telah diatasi dengan penerapan dan pelatihan pengoperasian mesin pulper kopi kapasitas 600kg/jam yang hemat energi dengan prosentase cacat rendah kurang dari 2%.  Mesin memberikan penghematan sebesar 83% dari biaya proses pulper dan memberikan keuntungan 9% dari penjualan 54kg green bean. Kemasan mitra telah dilengkapi informasi produk, kandungan proksimat, dan masa simpan produk. Permasalahan managemen keuangan mitra diatasi dengan penerapan pembukuan keuangan format ms excel beserta pelatihannya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of YouTube-based video tutorial learning media in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding SMAW practice at SMK Negeri 4 Semarang. The background of this research is based on the limited use of contextual and engaging instructional media in vocational education, which leads to low conceptual understanding and applied skills among students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 60 tenth-grade students from the Mechanical Engineering Expertise Program, selected through purposive sampling and divided into two groups: an experimental group that used YouTube-based instructional videos and a control group that applied conventional lecture methods. The research instrument comprised 20 validated multiple-choice questions. Data was analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, independent t-test, and N-Gain analysis to assess learning improvement. The results indicated a significant difference between the experimental and control groups p< 0.001, with the experimental group achieving an average post-test score of 84.50 and an N-Gain of 0.6100 high category. In contrast, the control group scored an average of 75.33 with an N-Gain of 0.4155 medium category. These findings suggest that using YouTube video tutorials as instructional media effectively enhances students' learning outcomes in welding practice while also creating a more contextual, visual, and student-centred learning process suited to the learning styles of vocational students.

Abstract

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining method suitable for thermoplastics like HDPE, which has lighter and more flexible properties. This study aims to examine the tensile and bending strength of HDPE joints influenced by parameters such as TRS 930 rpm, a feed rate of 20mm/min, and variations in the Lateral Tilt Angle (LTA) of 0°, 0,5°, 1°, and 1,5°, where the tool's position is sideways relative to the tool's movement direction as the main variable. Resulting in maximum tensile strength (UTS) values of 3,15 MPa, 16,0 MPa, 16,9 MPa, and 8,59 MPa. LTA 1° produced the highest UTS, while LTA 0° produced the lowest UTS because the heat input was not sufficient to perfectly bond the welding material. The bending strength values produced were 4,25 MPa, 14,3 MPa, 4,17 MPa, and 28,8 MPa. The highest stress is found at a 1,5° variation and the lowest at a 1° variation, due to uneven heat distribution during the FSW process. Therefore, choosing the right TLA during the FSW process is key to achieving HDPE joints with good mechanical strength.

Abstract

Law is one of the instruments needed to facilitate various social developments. Law is an important thing in the process of community development, especially for countries that identify law as a written rule. This paper is a normative juridical research, with data sources on primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The results show that the harmonization of law in Indonesia is marked by a simplification in the formation of laws through the omnibus law/omnibus bill method, with the existence of this omnibus law, several regulations can be simplified into one law. So that the regulations can be simpler and can answer many aspects of the legal needs of the community. So the researcher assumes that the harmonization of laws carried out by the government, in order to simplify regulations and meet the needs of the community, is very much in accordance with the Legal Development Theory which is still relevant to be used as a guide and guide for Harmonization of Law in Indonesia. .

The problem in this study is the Expansion of Total Quality Management with the Fishbone Method at PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood. Implementation of Total Quality Management by using the Fishbone method at PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood, obstacles faced in implementing Total Quality Management by using the Fishbone method at PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood, the efforts made in overcoming barriers in the Implementation of Total Quality Management by using the Fishbone method at PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood. The study results are: In the application of Total Quality Management using the Fishbone method at PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood has been very well such that production is the main thing in implementing company activities. Quality is the primary concern of both the product and its management. Continuous improvement to improve company performance. The obstacles encountered from the implementation of Total Quality Management by using the Fishbone method at PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood, namely: Lack of attention from production equipment which is still inadequate. Then the placement of production materials is still not following operational standards that have been previously determined. The effort felt by PT. Kaliaren Jaya Plywood is thought because the implementation of Total Quality Management is beneficial in the performance of company activities, especially for: Production must be further optimized so that the company becomes more advanced so that it can extend business cooperation with other companies. The company can optimize the performance of all departments to provide the best quality and increase the company's competitiveness. The research method used is qualitative. Whereby interviewing the president, director, head of the production, and employees. The research results using the fishbone method show that the implementation of total quality management is the main thing for companies and employees
