Abstract

Proses pengeringan ikan teri secara tradisional menyebabkan waktu dan suhu pengeringan belum optimal. Untuk mengoptimalkan kondisi ini, maka dilakukan dengan menerapkan pengering surya yaitu ruang pengering yang terintegrasi dengan kolektor surya. Hasil penerapan pada proses pengeringan ikan teri pada produksi pengolahan rumah tangga menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan suhu pengeringan. Hal ini berpengaruh pada waktu pengeringan yang lebih singkat dan produk yang dihasilkan menjadi higienis.

Abstract

A review of the application of ergonomics to design work tools based on worker anthropometric data is carried out to provide information on its use in the production process, especially in micro, small and medium business. This is done because most people in Indonesia still use simple tools with unnatural work postures. Unnatural work postures such as bending, squatting, twisting, exposure to the sun, etc. Unnatural work postures cause musculoskeletal complaints and fatigue which have an impact on decreasing work efficiency. Of course, this causes a decrease in productivity and quality of life for workers. From the results of a review of several studies and literature, satisfactory results were found regarding the application of ergonomics in designing work tools according to worker anthropometric data. Application of anthropometric data for the design or redesign of a work tool based on the flow of 1) determining the body that is important in the design or redesign, 2) determining the user population, 3) calculating the percentile value for each predetermined body dimension, and 4) application to the design of the tool. Ergonomics application based on information related to human factors (strengths, weaknesses, or limitations) in designing work tools that are more effective, safe, comfortable, healthy, and efficient. An ergonomic work tool can be used effectively, comfortably, safely, healthily, efficiently, and sustainably. Ergonomics application as an alternative in overcoming the problem of musculoskeletal complaints and fatigue due to unnatural work postures. Ergonomics applications improve work safety and worker health so that work productivity increases.

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman tentang faktor penyebab terjadinya kebocoran gas LPG, kebakaran akibat gas yang bocor serta kualitas dan kondisi peralatan yang baik untuk menghindari bahaya kebakaran sangat diperlukan masyarakat. Solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu penyuluhan mencegah bahaya kebakaran kompor gas LPG rumah tangga. Kegiatan dilakukan di Banjar Gria Hita, Lingkungan Griya Pagutan Indah, Pagutan Barat, Mataram. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan ini memberikan pemahaman kepada warga tentang komponen pada kompor gas yang dapat menimbulkan bahaya kebakaran. Hasilnya warga menjadi mengetahui dan memahami bahwa tata letak tabung gas yang tidak benar dapat memicu bahaya kebakaran. Selain itu, regulator gas harus selalu dalam kondisi baik sehingga aliran gas menjadi efisien dan mencegah terjadinya kebocoran gas.

Abstract

Salah satu hasil hutan bukan kayu yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi dan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kehidupan sehari-hari adalah minyak kayu putih. Saat ini permintaan minyak kayu putih diperkirakan terus meningkat dengan bertambahnya populasi penduduk dunia dan berkembangnya berbagai industri yang memanfaatkan minyak kayu putih. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman terkait pendapatan, kelayakan usaha petani hasil hutan bukan kayu (HHBK) kayu putih (Melaleuca cajuputi) dan sistem pemasaran hasil panen kayu putih (Melaleuca cajuputi). Lokasi penelitian terletak Desa Batu Putih Kecamatan Sekotong Barat Kabupaten Lombok Barat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penyuluhan dengan pendekatan partisipatori. Metode ini menggunakan partisipasi dari warga yang terlibat secara alngsung, serta komunikasi langsung dengan melakukan peninjauan atau observasi lapangan. Observasi dilakukan terhadap lokasi dan kondisi geografis serta melakukan penyuluhan terkait manfaat, kegunaan dan pemasaran dari kayu putih.

Abstract

Laundry is a business in the field of clothes washing services where dirty clothes are processed until clean and ready to distributed, this business is very promising because of the high level of demand for this service. Therefore, business actors in this field, namely Hoop Laundry, to continue to develop, must be supported by maximum profits by doing profit planning to find out whether this business is profitable or not.To plan profit, a tool is needed, one of which is the determination of the break- even point. In profit planning, break even point analysis is a profit planning approach that is based on the relationship between costs and income.The results of this study, it is known that the average number of kg of laundry per month produced is 1,702.52 kg with a Fixed Cost (FC) of Rp. 25,510,500 and Variable Cost (VC) of Rp. 61,828,852.5. From the laundry price per kg (p) which is IDR 6,000 the number of kg of laundry produced to reach the Break Even Point (BEP) condition is12,984 kg of laundry with a time of 7.6 months where the total expenses (TC) are equal to the total income (TR) which is IDR 77,902,498

Abstract

Peningkatan pemahaman akan keselamatan bekerja khususnya dalam rumah tangga dalam pemakain kompor gas sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat dalam upaya mencegah bahaya kebakaran. Kompor gas sebagai peralatan utama dan sangat dibutuhkan perlu perawatan rutin agar lebih efisien dan nyaman dalam beraktivitas. Salah satu kegiatan dilakukan di Banjar Gria Hita, Lingkungan Gria Pagutan Indah, Pagutan Barat, Mataram. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan perawatan kompor gas rumah tangga untuk mencegah terjadinya bahaya kebakaran. Kegiatan pelatihan menghasilkan pemahaman warga akan pentingnya dan cara perawatan kompor gas yang mudah dan murah. Masyarakat menjadi paham dan tahu fungsi burner, selang gas, dan kebersihan badan kompor. Kompor gas yang selalu terjaga kebersihannya dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemakaian gas, selain mencegah bahaya kebakaran.

Abstract

Road condition and plain all of the line traffic  Denpasar- Gilimanuk have many slope upward. Beside of many slope upward declivity and long slope upward have many variation too. We must give many attention for that condition in design minimum power engine to vehicle truck,beside the other factors like wind velocity , kind of asphalt , curves ,etc.            The purpose of this research to recite road condition (slope upward , wind velocity ,density) all of the line traffic Denpasar – Gilimanuk,and then will be count minimum traction need of vehicle truck that across that road.            From this research result obtained that the needed traction to overcome all resistance especially slope upward resistance are 6000 N and the estimate needed power about 220 hp from characteristic power torsi.

Abstract

For the purposes of practicum and student research in the field of materials, tensile test equipment is very important. But the test equipment that is in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Mataram has a very large capacity so it is not suitable for testing materials such as plastics and composites so this study bertujuann to make small capacity tensile testing machine for purposes of practicum and student research in the field of polymer materials and composites. Due to limited funds, the research is focused on making data acquisition tensile testing machine. Necessary materials are on site, cable, lead solder, lacquers cable socket and supported by laboratory equipment mechanical engineering majors who have been there, but some of the components to be purchased as load cell, electronic extensometer, and the operational amplifier module arduino uno boad. Design data acquisition consists of a sensor that is load cell, extensometer electronic, signal conditioning is an operational amplifier that is arduino uno data recording boad connected with the personal computer and data processing using LabView software so that the output of the data acquisition is in the form of tables and graphs. With their small capacity tensile testing machine is expected to provide an additional means of learning in the laboratory and student research.
