Abstract

The influence of service quality on the satisfaction of inpatients participating in National Health Insurance (JKN) is very important to explain. Community demands for quality health services are increasing. Therefore, RSUD must improve the quality of services provided, including dimensions’ tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality on the level of satisfaction of inpatients participating in National Health Insurance (JKN) at Cut Nyak Dhien Hospital, Meulaboh. This research used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach, data collection techniques via questionnaires, with a population of 7,839 and a sample of 106 inpatient respondents. The research results show that service quality has an important role in determining patient satisfaction. The results of multiple linear regression tests show that service quality simultaneously influences patient satisfaction, with a coefficient of determination of 33.2%. Good service quality can increase patient satisfaction, while poor service quality can reduce patient satisfaction. The results of this research can be used as consideration to improve the quality of service at Cut Nyak Dhien Hospital, Meulaboh and increase the satisfaction of inpatients who are JKN participants.

Abstract

The Early Warning Alert and Response System (EWARS) is an important system for early detection and response to extraordinary events (KLB) in health facilities. The Suak Ribee Public Health Center has implemented EWARS, but evaluation of its implementation and operational challenges is still needed. This study aims to analyze the accuracy and completeness of EWARS reporting at the Suak Ribee Public Health Center and to identify challenges and strategies for improving the quality of the system. A descriptive study was conducted through observation and interviews with surveillance officers at the Suak Ribee Public Health Center. EWARS report data for the 2022–2024 period were analyzed quantitatively for accuracy and completeness, and qualitatively to identify obstacles and recommendations for improvement. The accuracy and completeness of reporting reached 100% every year, demonstrating the consistency and effectiveness of the reporting system. The main challenges encountered are limited internet connectivity and funding support, which could potentially affect the sustainability of the system. Improvement strategies include implementing a hybrid offline-online reporting system, increasing human resource capacity through training and clear SOPs, and collaborating with the Health Office, NGOs, and the private sector for operational and funding support. Although reporting is already optimal, improvements in infrastructure, funding, and human resource capacity are still needed to maintain the sustainability of EWARS. The implementation of these strategies can strengthen the surveillance system, support early detection, and improve the response to outbreaks in the working area of the Suak Ribee Public Health Center.

Abstract

The Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) involves various potential occupational hazards, such as the use of sharp tools, exposure to heat, slippery floors, and the risk of gas leaks, making the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) measures essential. Findings from research interviews with informants indicate that workers have experienced several occupational risks, including cuts from knives, exposure to hot oil splashes during frying, and skin conditions such as jock itch. This study aims to analyze the implementation of OSH among kitchen staff at the SPPG of Kitchen X. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method using the interactive analysis model. Informants consisted of the head chef, three kitchen team members, and the SPPG manager, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that OSH implementation has been fairly effective through the application of standard operating procedures (SOPs), the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), the provision of safety facilities, supervision, and periodic evaluations. Potential hazards identified included cuts, hot oil splashes, wet floors, and gas leaks. Compliance with PPE use was generally good, although there was still some inconsistency in the use of hairnets and aprons. It was concluded that OSH implementation at SPPG Kitchen X was already quite good; however, increased supervision and guidance are needed to strengthen the workplace safety culture.

Abstract

Advances in information technology have driven the digitization of public services, including at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan through the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) app. This app aims to make it easier for participants to access social security services online. However, various obstacles remain, such as difficulties in using features, system disruptions, and low digital literacy, which can affect Actual Users’ ability to utilize the app. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the perceived ease of use (Perceived Ease of Use) of the JMO app and actual usage (Actual Usage) at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan office in Meulaboh. The study employs a quantitative method with across-sectional design. The study population consists of 2,269 users. The study sample consisted of 96 respondents selected using simple random sampling based on the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed using chi-square tests. The results showed that the majority of respondents rated the JMO app as easy to use (91.7%). Furthermore, regarding actual usage, 93.8% of respondents reported good actual usage. This high percentage of actual usage indicates that the JMO app has been well-received by users and is utilized as a means to obtain information and access BPJS Ketenagakerjaan services. Theresults of the chi-square test indicate a significant relationship between the perceived ease of use and actual usage (p = 0.000). Therefore, improving the ease of access, navigation, and use of the app should be a top priority to increase the app’s actual usage in the future.

Abstract

Noise is one of the physical hazards in the workplace that may cause various health complaints, particularly among workers in the palm oil processing industry. The use of Hearing Protection Devices (HPDs) is one of the preventive measures to reduce the adverse effects of noise exposure; however, its effectiveness depends on workers' compliance in using the devices properly and consistently. This study aimed to determine the relationship between compliance with Hearing Protection Device (HPD) use and noise-related complaints among productionworkers at Company X. This analytical observational study employed a cross-sectional design. The study involved 53 production workers selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire on HPD compliance and a questionnaire on noise-related complaints. Data were analyzed using Fisher's Exact Test. The results showed that most respondents complied with HPD use, while themajority still experienced noise-related complaints. Fisher's Exact Test indicated a significant relationship between compliance with HPD useand noise-related complaints (p-value = 0.043). The findings suggest that the use of HPDs alone is insufficient to prevent noise-related complaints. Therefore, comprehensive noise control measures, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and consistent supervision of HPD use, are necessary to reduce the risk of noise-related complaints among workers.
