Abstract

Karakteristik emulsi krim dipengaruhi oleh suhu, kecepatan agitasi, waktu, tekanan dan surfaktan. Variasi emulgator seperti asam stearat dan trietanolamin (TEA) dapat mempengaruhi stabilitas krim. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menguji kestabilan fisik krim M/A ekstrak kulit alpukat dengan variasi kombinasi asam stearat dan TEA sebagai emulgator. Kulit buah alpukat diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut aseton 70%, kemudian diformulasikan menjadi sediaan krim m/a dan diuji stabilitas fisiknya pada penyimpanan selama 4 minggu dalam suhu rendah (4±2ºC), suhu kamar (25±2ºC), dan suhu tinggi (40±2ºC) juga uji stabilitas sentrifugasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sediaan F3 dan F4 tidak menunjukkan adanya perubahan pada uji organoleptik dan homogen setelah 4 minggu, memenuhi syarat uji pH, daya sebar dan daya lekat serta tidak ada pemisahan fase setelah uji sentrifugasi sedangkan F1 dan F2 mengalami perubahan pada uji organoleptik dan tidak memenuhi syarat pH. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sediaan krim, F3 dan F4 merupakan krim yang stabil secara fisik.

Abstract

In providing pharmaceutical services, collaboration between pharmacists and doctors is needed to improve therapeutic outcomes. For this reason, this study aims to describe doctors' perceptions about the role of pharmacists in carrying out pharmaceutical work at RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado in order to determine the extent to which doctors understand the pharmaceutical services provided by pharmacists. This research is a descriptive research with survey method and data processing is done quantitatively. Research respondents are doctors who work at RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado consisting of 75 respondents. The tool used in this research is a questionnaire using the Guttman scale which has been through validity and reliability tests. Data analysis was carried out by describing it in the form of a frequency distribution to find out how health workers perceive the role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical services at RSUP Prof. Dr. R.D. Kandou Manado. The results showed that doctors' perceptions tended to agree with the average value for opinions of 81.54% and for expectations of 94%. The conclusion of this study is that doctors have good opinions and expectations about the role of pharmacists in accordance with Pharmaceutical Service Standards.

Abstract

Corn Silk (Zea mays L.) is a plant that contains various active compounds such as flavonoids and fenols that function as antioxidants. This study aimed to test the effectivity of the antioxidant lotion ethyl acetate fraction of corn silk used the DPPH method and evaluated the physical preparations with physical properties test parameters. Corn silk was extracted using maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent and fractionated with ethyl acetate as solvent.Lotion preparation were made into 5 formulas (F1-F5) with variations in the concentration of corn silk ethyl acetate fraction (2%-10%). The results showed that the lotion of the ethyl acetate fraction of corn silk had IC50 values respectively 128,96 ppm; 116,87 ppm; 102,96 ppm; 90,98 ppm; 64,68 ppm. F5 continued to evaluate the physical properties of the preparation. The results of the physical evaluation of the preparation showed that the lotion preparation filled the organoleptic requirements, homogeneity, pH, adhesion, spreadability. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the lotion of the ethyl acetate fraction of corn silk has the effectivity as an antioxidant and fulfills the requirements for the parameters of the physical properties of the preparation.

Abstract

Cocoa pods (Theobroma cacao L.) is a part of the Cocoa plant which contains active compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins and tannins that have the potential as antibacterial. This study aimed to formulate a peel-off gel mask preparation of the ethyl acetate fraction which is physically good and to test the inhibitory power of the peel-off gel mask with concentrations of 2, 4, 8, 10, and 12% against Staphylococcus aureus. This research used laboratory experimental method. The results showed that the peel-off gel mask filled the requirements for physical evaluation, that is organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, adhesion and drying time. The antibacterial activity test using the well diffusion method showed that the average diameter for F1 to F5 respectively was 7,5; 8,58; 12; 12,75; and 14 mm. Based on the result of the study it can be included that the overall formulation of the peel-off gel mask filled the requirements of the parameters of the physical properties of the preparation and provides the greatest antibacterial activity that is formula 5 with a concentration of 12%, which is 14 mm.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Pandemi global Covid-19 pertama kali diumumkan pada 11 Maret 2020 menandakan bahwa virus ini sudah menjangkiti populasi besar di berbagai negara. Upaya telah dilakukan oleh berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia, untuk mengembangkan vaksin yang ideal untuk pencegahan infeksi SARS-CoV-2 dengan berbagai platform yaitu vaksin inaktivasi inactivated virus vaccines, vaksin virus yang dilemahkan (live attenuated), vaksin vektor virus, vaksin asam nukleat, vaksin seperti virus (virus-like vaccine), dan vaksin subunit protein. Vaksinasi COVID-19 bertujuan untuk mengurangi transmisi/penularan COVID-19, menurunkan angka kesakitan dan kematian akibat COVID-19, mencapai kekebalan kelompok di masyarakat (herd immunity) dan melindungi masyarakat dari COVID-19 agar tetap produktif secara sosial dan ekonomi. Kekebalan kelompok hanya dapat terbentuk apabila cakupan vaksinasi tinggi dan merata di seluruh wilayah. Metode : melakukan penyuluhan mengenai pengenalan vaksin COVID19 dan edukasi protokol pencegahan COVID19 di Era Kenormalan Baru (New Normal) serta pendistribusian APD di Desa Paddinging, Takalar dengan menggunakan alat bantu seperti flipchart. Hasil : Berdasarkan dari data hasil kuesioner (pre dan post test) pada peserta, didapatkan peningkatan pemahaman tentang vaksin COVID19. Dimana jumlah jawaban benar meningkat pada hasil pre-test (evaluasi). Para peserta sebagian besar telah vaksin COVID19 namun beberapa anggota keluarga mereka belum vaksin dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman terkait vaksin tersebut sehingga masyarakat cukup antusias bertanya terkait bahaya dan efek samping yang ditimbulkan oleh karena vaksin COVID19

Abstract

Leilem leaves (Clerodendrum minahassae L.) is one type of plant that can be used as an antibacterial because it contains active chemical compounds such as phenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, steroids, and terpenoids. This study aimed to formulate the ethyl acetate fraction of leilem leaves toothpaste that is physically good and to obtain the optimum toothpaste inhibition with dosage concentrations of 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5% against the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria. This research uses laboratory experimental method. The results showed that the ethyl acetate fraction toothpaste preparation filled the physical evaluation requirements, that is organoleptic, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion and pH. The antibacterial activity testing of the leilem leaves fraction toothpaste showed that the average diameter for F1 was 9.75 mm, F2 was 11.75 mm, and F3 was 13.08 mm. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that all formulations of the ethyl acetate fraction of leilem leaves provide antibacterial activity and filled the requirements of the physical test of the preparation and the greatest antibacterial activity is at F3 of 13.08 mm with a dosage concentration of 12.5%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTWater hyacinth (E. crassipes) leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, polyphenols, and saponins which have antibacterial properties. The aim of this study was to formulate an ethanol extract cream from the leaves of Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) and to test the antibacterial activity of cream preparations with concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. This study uses a laboratory experimental method. The formulation of the Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) leaf ethanol extract cream was tested for organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, dispersion, and adhesion, the results were in accordance with predetermined conditions, namely having a distinctive water hyacinth odor, green color, and no grains. coarse, has a pH value of 5.58-6.33, dispersion of 5.7 cm for F1, 5.58 cm for F2, and 5.03 cm for F3, adhesion to F1 6.34 seconds, F2 5, 25 seconds, and F3 4.20 seconds. Testing of antibacterial activity against the growth of S. aureus was carried out by the diffusion method. The results of the antibacterial activity test of the ethanol extract of the Eceng Gondok (E.crassipes) leaf extract were able to inhibit S. aureus bacteria, with concentrations of 10% and 15% which had moderate inhibitory power with diameters of 6.5mm and 7.8mm.Keywords:Cream, Water Hyacinth Leaves, Antibacterial.  ABSTRAKDaun Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) memiliki kandungan senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, polifenol, dan saponin yang bersifat sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan krim ekstrak etanol daun Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) serta menguji aktivitas antibakteri sediaan krim dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimental laboratorium. Formulasi sediaan krim ekstrak etanol daun Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) ini dilakukan pengujian organoleptik, pH, homogenitas, daya sebar, dan daya lekat yang hasilnya sesuai dengan syarat yang telah ditentukan yaitu memiliki bau khas eceng gondok, berwarna hijau, tidak memiliki butiran-butiran kasar, memiliki nilai pH 5,58-6,33, daya sebar sebesar 5,7 cm untuk F1, 5,58 cm untuk F2, dan 5,03 cm untuk F3, daya lekat pada F1 6,34 detik, F2 5,25 detik, dan F3 4,20 detik. Pengujian aktivitas antibakteri terhadap pertumbuhan S. aureus dilakukan dengan metode difusi. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri krim ekstrak etanol daun Eceng Gondok (E. crassipes) yang diperoleh dapat menghambat bakteri S. aureus, dengan konsentrasi 10% dan 15% yang memiliki daya hambat sedang dengan diameter 6,5mm dan 7,8mm. Kata Kunci: Krim, Daun Eceng Gondok, Antibakteri.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSoursop leaves (Annona muricata L.) contain flavonoid compounds. Flavonoid compounds function as antidiabetic. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of soursop leaf extract in reducing blood sugar levels in male white rats induced by alloxan. This study used 4 treatment groups, negative control was not given treatment, positive control was treated with 9 mg metformin, treated with the first dose of 7.2 mg and the last group was treated with the second dose of 14.4 mg. Before being given the treatment, the rats were fasted first and then checked for blood sugar, then the rats were induced by alloxan intraperitoneally (ip) then observed the development of the increase in blood sugar in the rats for 3 days and checked blood sugar levels once a day for 5 days. After that, it was continued with giving soursop leaf ethanol extract every day for 5 days. The results showed that soursop leaf extract can reduce blood sugar levels seen on days H4- H8 with a decrease of 6.67 mg/mL for the treatment group sample 1 and 5.66 mg/mL for the treatment sample 2. The test results using the Kruskal test -Wallis at 0.05 level showed that there was no significant difference using soursop leaf ethanol extract and metformin in lowering blood sugar levels.Keywords: Soursop leaves(Annona muricata L), Male White Rat, Flavonoids, Blood Glucose, AlloxanABSTRAKDaun Sirsak (Annona muricata L.) mempunyai kandungan senyawa flavonoid. Senyawa flavonoid berfungsi sebagai antidiabetes. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun sirsak dalam penurunan kadar gula darah pada tikus putih jantan yang diinduksi oleh aloksan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 4 kelompok perlakuan yaitukontrol negatif tidak diberikan perlakuan, kontrol positif diberikan perlakuan dengan metformin 9 mg, perlakuan dengan dosis pertama 7,2 mg dan kelompok terakhir perlakuan dengan dosis kedua 14,4 mg. Tikus dipuasakan terlebih dahulusebelumdiberiperlakuan, kemudian diperiksa gula darah, selanjutnya tikus diinduksi aloksan secara intraperitonial (ip) kemudian dilihat perkembangan kenaikan gula darah pada tikus selama 3 hari dan dilakukan pemeriksaan kadar gula darah sehari sekali selama 5 hari, kemudiandiberikan ekstrak etanol daun sirsak setiap hari selama 5 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ekstrak daun sirsak dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah dilihat pada hari H4-H8 dengan penurunan sebesar 6,67 mg/ml untuk kelompok perlakuan sampel 1 dan 5,66 mg/ml untuk perlakuan sampel 2. Hasil uji menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis pada taraf 0,05 menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan menggunakan ekstrak etanol daun sirsak dan metformin dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah.Kata kunci: Daun sirsak (Annona muricata L), Tikus Putih Jantan, Flavonoid, Glukosa Darah, Aloksan

Abstract

ABSTRACTAreca Nut (Areca catechu L.) is a plant that contains many active compounds, one of them is alkaloid compound that has efficacy as an antifungal. This study aimed to formulate a mouthwash of areca nut ethanol extract that was physically good and to test the antifungal activity of the mouthwash of areca nut ethanol with concentrations 5%, 7,5%, 10% and 15% against the Candida albicans The conclusion were the ethanol extract of Areca nut could be formulated into a mouthwash preparation that was physically good and had the most significant antifungal activity at 15% concentration (F4) with a diameter of 25,4 mm.Keywords: areca nut (Areca catechu L.), mouthwash, antifungal.ABSTRAKPinang (Areca catechu L.) merupakan tanaman yang mengandung banyak senyawa aktif, salah satunya senyawa alkaloid yang berkhasiat sebagai antijamur. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memformulasikan obat kumur ekstrak etanol biji pinang yang baik secara fisik dan menguji Aktivitas Antijamur Obat Kumur Ekstrak Etanol Biji Pinang dengan konsentrasi 5%, 7,5%, 10% dan 15% terhadap jamur Candida albicans. Kesimpulannya, ekstrak etanol biji pinang dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan obat kumur yang baik secara fisik dan memiliki aktivitas antijamur paling nyata yaitu pada konsentrasi (F4) dengan diameter 25,4 mm.Kata kunci: pinang (Areca catechu L.), obat kumur, antijamur

Abstract

ABSTRACTTinutuan or Manado porridge is a typical food from Manado, North Sulawesi made from various kinds of vegetables. Generally, Manado tinutuan or porridge is served immediately after cooking, but in this study it was made in an instant form so that it was easy and practical. The purpose of the study was to find out how to make instant tinutuan and analyze the nutritional levels contained in instant tinutuan in an effort to overcome the problem of stunting. The method of making instant tinutuan using the extraction method. In this study, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins were tested. The results showed that tinutuan contained carbohydrates, fat, and protein with samples of rice, garlic, spinach, basil, onion, pumpkin, cassava, and corn. Carbohydrate test results obtained per 100 grams, 0.570; 0.828; 0.160; 0.779; 0.800; 4,335; 0.524; 5,253. Fat test results obtained per 100 grams of sample, 27.7%; 5.6%; 5.8%; 21.4%; 4.9%; 3.8%; 7.4%; 17.6%. The results of protein testing of samples obtained per gram of sample, 4.3%; 3.8%; 47.1%; 10%; 7.4%; 17.1%; 7%; 8.5%. Based on the results of the study, tinutuan contains high levels of nutrients (carbohydrates, fat, and protein) and can be recommended to overcome the problem of stunting. Keywords: Instant Tinutuan, Stunting, Nutritional Levels ABSTRAKTinutuan atau bubur Manado adalah makanan khas Manado, Sulawesi Utara yang terbuat dari berbagai macam sayuran. Umumnya tinutuan atau bubur Manado langsung disajikan setelah dimasak, tetapi pada penelitian ini dibuat dalam bentuk instan sehingga mudah dan praktis. Tujuan penelitian ialah mengetahui cara pembuatan tinutuan instan dan menganalisis kadar gizi yang terkandung dalam tinutuan instan sebagai upaya dalam mengatasi masalah stunting. Metode pembuatan tinutuan instan menggunakan metode ekstraksi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian karbohidrat, lemak, dan protein. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan bahwa tinutuan mengandung karbohidrat, lemak, dan protein dengan sampel beras, bawang putih, bayam, kemangi, bawang merah, labu, singkong, dan jagung. Hasil pengujian karbohidrat yang didapat per 100 gram, 0,570; 0,828; 0,160; 0,779; 0,800; 4,335; 0,524; 5,253. Hasil pengujian lemak yang didapat per 100 gram sampel, 27,7%; 5,6%; 5,8%; 21,4%; 4,9%; 3,8%; 7,4%; 17,6%. Hasil pengujian protein sampel yang didapat per gram sampel, 4,3%; 3,8%; 47,1%; 10%; 7,4%; 17,1%; 7%; 8,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tinutuan mengandung kadar gizi (karbohidrat, lemak, dan protein) dan dapat disarankan untuk mengatasi masalah stunting. Kata Kunci: Tinutuan Instan, Stunting, Kadar Gizi
