Abstract

ABSTRACTKuningan regency as one of the regencies in West Java Province, is a counter magnet area. This area is expected to absorb the increase of population and give socio-economic service in urbanization process of Jakarta Metropolitan. The main pull factor in the urbanization process is the opportunity to work in the city. This causes the productive workforce go to the city. Although the economic sector that can accommodate labor from the rural is the informal sector, that did not prevent the seasonal workers from Cisukadana went to the city.This research was conducted in Cisukadana Village, Kadugede District, Kuningan Regency. The quantitative method were used in this research. This study aims to illustrate how the urbanization process in megapolitan city of Jakarta can affect the types of work in the village of Cisukadana, Kadugede district, Kuningan regency, West Java. Based on the findings, it appears that almost half of the total household heads in Cisukadana Village are seasonal workers, working in the informal sector in Jakarta. And of the total number of workers, most of them work as pedagang siomay.

Abstract

Pengembangan ekowisata merupakan salah satu upaya pemanfaatan sumberdaya lokal yang optimal. Sejalan dengan praktek ekowisata berbasis masyarakat, konsep pariwisata berbasis masyarakat ini merupakan sebuah konsep pariwisata yang menekankan pada sisi pengembangan masyarakat dalam mengelola pariwisata yang ada. Konsep ini sering disebut community based tourism (CBT). Metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif digunakan untuk melihat CBT di Desa Tarumajaya. Desa Tarumajaya memiliki berbagai potensi pengembangan ekowisata. Beberapa potensi wisata di antaranya Situ Cisanti, Curug Lodaya Barat, Situs Batu Korsi, Situs Batu Kasur, Air Panas Ciseke, Situs Batu Lingga, Wisata Gunung Wayang, dan Wisata Edukasi berbasis alam. Meskipun elemen-elemen kunci Community Based Tourism sudah dilakukan dalam praktek ekowisata di Desa Tarumajaya, namun belum memadai. Berbagai usaha masih harus dilakukan, terutama agar ekowisata di Desa Tarumajaya mampu memberikan alternative sumber matapencaharian bagi warga, yang notabene adalah petani tanpa lahan. Kegiatan ekowisata yang berlandaskan CBT diharapkan mampu mengurangi ketergantungan warga atas lahan, terutama lahan konservasi.Ecotourism development is one of the most optimal efforts to utilize local resources. In line with the practice of community-based ecotourism, the concept of community-based tourism is a concept of tourism that emphasizes the side of community development in managing existing tourism. This concept is often called community based tourism (CBT). Qualitative and quantitative methods are used to view CBT in Tarumajaya Village. Tarumajaya Village has a variety of ecotourism development potential. Some tourism potentials include Situ Cisanti, Lodaya Barat Curug, Korsi Batu Site, Batu Kasur Site, Ciseke Hot Springs, Batu Lingga Site, Gunung Wayang Tourism, and Nature-based Educational Tourism. Although the key elements of Community Based Tourism have been carried out in the practice of ecotourism in Tarumajaya Village, it has not been sufficient. Various efforts still have to be done, especially so that ecotourism in Tarumajaya Village is able to provide alternative sources of livelihood for residents, who are landless farmers. Ecotourism activities based on CBT are expected to reduce people's dependence on land, especially on conservation land.

Abstract

Ketika figur seorang petani digambarkan, seringkali gambaran yang diperoleh adalah seorang laki-laki dengan pakaian penuh lumpur sedang membajak sawah atau mencangkul. Jarang sekali seorang petani digambarkan sebagai seorang perempuan yang sedang mencangkul lahan pertanian sambil menggendong anak kecil di punggungnya, seorang perempuan yang sedang mencari dan mengumpulkan kayu bakar, atau seorang perempuan muda yang sedang memotong rumput untuk memberi makan ternaknya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun perempuan ikut berperan di dalam sistem pertanian, namun seringkali peran perempuan terabaikan.Selain itu, hubungan/relasi antara perempuan dan laki-laki atau relasi gender biasanya dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang mutlak dan tidak dapat dirubah. Untuk dapat mengetahui bagaimana peran perempuan, kerja yang merekalakukan, dan faktor-faktor apa yang mempengaruhinya dalam kegiatan pertanian di lahan kering dalam hal ini di kebun talun maka dilakukan penelitian tentang permasalahan tersebut di Desa Karamatmulya, KecamatanSoreang, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci dan focuss group discussion dengan kelompok petani perempuan yang melakukan kegiatan pertanian dengan sistem kebun talun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan terlibat di hampir semua kegiatan kebun talun, termasuk pada kegiatan yang termasuk kategori sangat berat dan berat. Ini ditunjukkan dengan tidak ada jenis tanaman yang ditanam di kebun talun yang termasuk kategori tanaman laki-laki (men’s crop). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa perempuan memberikan kontribusi yang tidak lebih kecildibanding laki-laki pada kebun talun. Namun, tidak sebanding dengan peran dan kontribusi perempuan terhadap kebun talun, pengambilan keputusan dalam sistem kebun talun masih didominasi laki-laki. Perempuan dapatmemberikan saran, namun keputusan akhir tetap pada pihak laki-laki. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi relasi (hubungan) antara laki-laki dan perempuan atau relasi gender di lokasi penelitian adalah kondisi ekonomi.

Abstract

Tulisan ini ialah tentang bentuk-bentuk perilaku mistis di antara pedagang Jawa di pasar tradisional. Melalui pendekatan etnografis-kualitatif, perilaku-perilaku seperti melempar koin, pedagang sebagai pembeli pertama, menutup kios pada hari buruk, menepuk-nepukan uang ke barang dagangan, slametan, sukuran, dan solat berjamaah, bisa dianggap perilaku mistis karena di dalamnya ditemukan kepercayaan bahwa jika mereka melakukannya maka keuntungan akan datang dan kemalangan akan pergi. Meski di permukaan tampak irasional, pada dasarnya perilaku-perilaku tersebut ialah manifestasi dari rasionalitas tertentu. Secara teoritis, perilaku mistisnya pedagang bisa ditempatkan dalam situasi ‘irasionalitas rasional’, situasi yang di situ tindakan irasional dilakukan karena dianggap rasional secara instrumental meskipun secara epistemologis irasional. Konteks situasi ini ialah tuntutan kultural dan sosial dari dalam pengalaman sehari-hari pedagang sebagai anggota dari suatu semesta sosial tertentu. This paper is about forms of mysticl behavior among Javanese traders in a traditional marketplace. Through an ethnographic approach, behaviors such as tossing coins, buying their own product, closing kiosk on bad day, tapping money on merchandise, and others can be condidered as mystical behaviors because it is found in the belief that if they do then profit will come and misfortune will go away. Although on the surface they appear irrational, basically these behaviors are manifestation of a certain rationality. Theoritically, the traders’ mystical behavior can be placed in a situation of rational-irrationality, a situation in which irrational actions are carried out because they are considered, instrumentally, rational eventhough epistemologically irrational. The context of this situation is the cultural and social demands of the trader’s daily experience as a member of a particular social universe.

Abstract

This research aims to describe women’s roles in managing the bubulak. Bubulak is one of the agricultural land near the forest. This research was conducted in Cisukadana Village, Kadugede Districts, Kuningan District, West Java. Cisukadana Village was chosen because women farmers in this village must adapt themselves with the changing of labor division in agriculture because of the absent of their husbands). The husbands have to work outtside the village as non-agriculture workers. The method that used in this research is qualitative with case study approach. Data collection is done by collecting secondary and primary data. The primary data collected by observations and interviews.The results showed the majority work in bubulak are done by women. Women managing bubulak by themselves or sometimes employing male farm laborer for some types of work, the husbands will help the work when they were home. Women choose type of plant that do not need intensive care/maintenance, so they can also work on another type of agricultural land and finished their domestic tasks. Based on the result, the lack of men worker and the dominant of women in manage the bubulak from the maintaining the crops, harvesting, and proccessing  the harvest before consume, and also all of the knowledge about the technology, made bubulak as a women’s bubulak.

Abstract

This study examines the relation between women and agroforestry in Cijedil and Wangunjaya Villages, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, West Java. The study of the dynamics of agroforestry management, which is an agricultural practice carried out on forest land or land that resembles a forest, is carried out using an ecofeminist perspective. The study was conducted in two villages in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. These two villages are representatives of agroforestry land variations, which consist of forest, agroforestry, and agricultural land. This land type represents the level of human intervention in forest land management. The research was conducted using quantitative and qualitative research methods, using interviews and observation as key data collection instruments. The results of the study found that the division of labor based on gender in agroforestry practices has changed. Significant changes were also found in the relations between women and agroforestry, as well as gender relations in the decision-making process related to agroforestry in farmer households. From an eco-feminist perspective, this study shows that the dynamics of women in managing agroforestry not only increases the role of women, but also strengthens the position of women as employers in their own agroferestry land.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan dan pelestarian kain lurik oleh Lori Lurik. Kain lurik merupaka salah satu warisan budaya benda Indonesia sementara pengetahuan tentang kain lurik merupakan warisan budaya tak benda Indoensia. Kain lurik menjadi bahan utama Lori Lurik dalam menciptakan busana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara semi struktur, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian ditentukan dengan cara purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria informan yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Lori Lurik berhasil mengintegrasikan kain lurik dalam menciptakan busananya. Lori Lurik memanfaatkan kain lurik dalam fashion urban dengan desain asimetris dan menerapkan zero waste dalam proses pembuatannya. Inovasi desain, keberlanjutan, dan penekanan pada kualitas produksi menjadi peran penting Lori Lurik dalam membangun citra yang positif. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Lori Lurik tidak hanya semata-mata menjual produk tetapi juga mampu melestarikan kain lurik dengan tetap memerhatikan lingkungan dan pemberdayaan pengrajin tradisional kain lurik setempat. This research was conducted to analyze the use and preservation of lurik cloth by Lori Lurik. Lurik cloth is one of Indonesia's cultural heritage. Lurik cloth is an intangible cultural heritage while knowledge about lurik cloth is an intangible cultural heritage. Lurik cloth is Lori Lurik's main material in creating clothing. The research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Research informants were determined using purposive sampling based on predetermined informant criteria. The research results show that Lori Lurik has succeeded in integrating lurik fabric in creating her clothes. Lori Lurik uses lurik fabric in urban fashion with asymmetric designs and applies zero waste in the manufacturing process. Design innovation, sustainability, and emphasis on production quality are Lori Lurik's important roles in building a positive image. Thus, this research shows that Lori Lurik does not only sell products but is also able to preserve lurik cloth while still paying attention to the environment and empowering local traditional lurik cloth craftsmen.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas praktik dan pengelolaan wisata kelam di Museum Sejarah Jakarta. Museum Sejarah Jakarta merupakan sebuah museum kesejarahan yang terletak di Kawasan Kota Tua Jakarta, Jakarta Barat. Wisata kelam merupakan suatu kegiatan bepergian yang dilakukan oleh seseorang atau sekelompok orang untuk mengunjungi situs yang memiliki unsur kematian, tragedi, dan kesengsaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dalam pengumpulan data dilakukan wawancara mendalam serta observasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat beberapa koleksi museum yang memiliki unsur wisata kelam. Koleksi tersebut berupa Lukisan Banda Neira, Penjara Bawah Tanah, dan Penjara Perempuan. Namun, Museum Sejarah Jakarta menekankan identitas museum sebagai tempat edukasi dan pelestarian sejarah, bukan sebagai lokasi objek wisata kelam.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology information affects the culture of society. Social media as a product of today's development has become a necessity. The need for social media has an impact on the need for la nguage which has led to the development of slang styles in cyberspace. Slang language styles have become part of the language used daily, including students. Tik tok as one of the most popular applications is one of the applications with the widespread use of slang language styles. This research will discuss how the use of slang words among Anthropology students at Padjadjaran University class of 2019. The study was carried out using the classification of slang language styles according to Alwasilah (1993), namely popular adaptation, expansion of meaning, new vocabulary, and reaction to serious diction. The method used in this research is qualitative with descriptive and content analysis. The findings from this study explain the style of slang in the tick tok accounts of Anthropology University of Padjadjaran students class of 2019 which have been classified. The use of slang in the tik tok account of Anthropology University of Padjadjaran students class of 2019 illustrates communication patterns that tend to have relatively the same verbal repertoire and social media culture so that users can understand one another.
