Abstract

Industri tenun ulap doyo di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara tidak hanya menjadi bagian dari sektor ekonomi lokal, tetapi juga merupakan komponen penting dalam warisan budaya Kalimantan Timur yang sarat nilai sejarah dan tradisi. Pada proses produksi tenun ulap doyo, penggunaan tanaman pewarna alami memainkan peran esensial, memberikan karakteristik unik dan autentik pada hasil akhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian mengenai jenis tanaman pewarna alami yang digunakan dalam industri tenun ulap doyo di wilayah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, pengumpulan data sekunder, serta identifikasi tanaman pewarna. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif, dengan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan pengamatan langsung terhadap tanaman pewarna yang ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 12 spesies tanaman yang dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna alami dalam industri tenun ulap doyo di Kelurahan Loa Ipuh, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Tanaman tersebut meliputi Bayur (Pterospermum javanicum), Mahoni (Swietenia macrophylla), Bungur (Lagerstroemia speciosa), Mangga (Mangifera indica), Ketapang (Terminalia catappa), Kesumba Keling (Bixa orellana), Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria), Durian (Durio spp.), Bengkal (Nauclea orientalis L.), Kunyit Hutan (Curcuma longa), Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.), dan Secang (Biancaea sappan L.). Organ tanaman yang dimanfaatkan meliputi daun, batang, buah, dan akar, dengan variasi warna yang dihasilkan antara lain coklat, merah, ungu, hijau muda, jingga, biru, hitam, dan kuning. Studi ini berhasil mendokumentasikan keanekaragaman tanaman pewarna alami serta mengidentifikasi kontribusi potensial dari setiap bagian tanaman dalam menghasilkan spektrum warna tertentu. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mendukung pelestarian sumber daya hayati lokal serta kelestarian budaya.

Abstract

The method used in this study is descriptive, while the implementation technique uses survey techniques. The selection of research locations was carried out and the samples selection or key informants was done purposively. The target samples were 15 craftsmen in the Loa Ipuh, Kutai Kartanegara regency, for marketers data sources, researchers used snowball sampling. The key informants at the level of government agencies are people who are competent and have a relationship with the existence of Ulap doyo business. Method to find out the value added using Hayami method. While to find out the development strategy is carried out using a SWOT analysis. Based on the value added analysis of ulap doyo  processing industry in Loa Ipuh district, the business was able to produce added value of lDR. 2,728,929 per kilogram input of ulap doyo thread. The value added ratio owned is 76,952 percent. Based on the external internal analysis of SWOT, the ulap doyo processing business in Loa Ipuh district is in Quadrant I, a strategy that can be done to develop the business is an expantion strategy. This means that this strategy uses internal forces to reach opportunities. Key Words: Ulap Doyo, Added Value, Development Strategy

Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of smart agricultural technologies to improve resource efficiency in the agro-industry, using a quantitative approach with a focus on Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis. A survey of 250 agro-industry stakeholders produced descriptive statistics showing a high mean adoption score (4.2) and a significant frequency of adoption (75%). Resource efficiency indicators, including average water use (32.5 gallons per hectare), average energy consumption (15.8 kWh per hectare), and average crop yield (2,800 kg per hectare), were also assessed. The SEM-PLS results showed strong reliability and validity of the measurement model, with positive path coefficients indicating substantial impacts of smart technology adoption on water use efficiency, energy consumption optimization, and crop yield. The model showed a satisfactory fit, and bootstrapping confirmed the robustness of the relationships. The discussion highlights practical implications for farmers, policymakers, and technology providers, emphasizing the potential for increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved yields through the adoption of smart technologies. This study contributes valuable insights to the discourse of sustainable agricultural practices.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan salah satu komoditas pangan yang sangat penting. Upaya peningkatan produksi jagung dilakukan melalui penggunaan varietas unggul dan pemanfaatan pupuk daun Naturalplus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengetahui interaksi antara varietas jagung komposit dan pupuk daun Naturalplus terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung, (2) mengetahui varietas jagung komposit yang menunjukkan respon pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik terhadap aplikasi pupuk daun Naturalplus, dan (3) menentukan konsentrasi pupuk daun. Naturalplus yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik pada tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Taman Teknologi Pertanian, Desa Bangun Rejo, Kecamatan Tenggarong Seberang, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara pada bulan Februari hingga Mei 2024. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah varietas dengan tiga taraf, yaitu j1: Sukmaraga, j2: Jakarin, j3: Bisma. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi pupuk daun Naturalplus dengan empat taraf, yaitu n0: kontrol, n1: 0,5 cc/L air, n2: 1,0 cc/L air, dan n3: 1,5 cc/L air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara varietas dan pupuk daun Naturalplus pada sebagian besar variabel pengamatan, kecuali pada jumlah daun umur 42 HST. Varietas Jakarin memberikan respon pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik terhadap aplikasi pupuk daun Naturalplus. Konsentrasi pupuk daun Naturalplus 1,5 cc/L air menghasilkan rata-rata pertumbuhan dan hasil tertinggi.

Abstract

The issue of energy scarcity and organic wast management represents both a challenge and an opportunity in advancing environmentally friendly renewable energy. As part of the younger generation, university students have significant potential to serve as agents of change in developing innovative solutions, particularly in entrepreneurship based on alternative energy. This activity aimed to equip students of Universitas Kutai Kartanegara (Unikarta) through outreach and training on producing briquettes from organic waste as an effort to strengthen entrepreneurial capacity. The methods included theoretical instruction on briquette production and its business prospects, technical demonstrations, and interactive discussions on alternative energy–based business opportunities. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding and skills in converting waste into energy, as reflected in the increase in the average score from 73.75 (pretest) to 98.33 (posttest), representing a 33.3% improvement. This program is expected to serve as an initial stimulus for cultivating environmentally conscious young entrepreneurs capable of addressing future energy sustainability challenges
