Abstract

This research aims to 1) know the implementation of stunting handling policies in Gorontalo Regency Limboto Health Center. 2) know the factors that affect the implementation of stunting handling policies in Gorontalo Regency Limboto Health Center. The results showed that 1) Implementation of stunting treatment policies in Limboto Health Center Gorontalo regency has been going well, specific nutritional intervention activities with the target of pregnant women, specific nutritional intervention activities with the target of breastfeeding mothers and children under 6 months of age, Specific nutritional intervention activities with the target of breastfeeding mothers and children aged over 6 to 23 and sensitive nutrition intervention activities with community targets, in handling Stunting in Limboto Health Center Gorontalo regency have all gone well. 2) Human resources in terms of quantity that needs to be addressed are the number of human resources available, it is necessary to add human resources so that there is no double position and the quality of human resources quality is good in accordance with their respective competencies. The obstacle is that cross-program communication is not optimal because sometimes there are village midwives who are not present for communication to break up and affect the acceleration of stunting handling. In addition, there are differences in the number of stunting data in each village. Sometimes the overall number of stunting sufferers is not known by midwives as the person in charge of the village. The solution is to improve more effective communication related to handling stunting to be an inhibitory factor in implementation, while disposition and bureaucratic structure become factors supporting the implementation of stunting handling policies in Gorontalo Regency Limboto Health Center.

Abstract

Formalin is a chemical whose use is prohibited for food products.Formalin with its trade name is formaldehyde in water with a content of 30-40%. Formaldehyde contamination in foodstuffs is very harmful to the body. Formaldehyde can cause cancer of the respiratory tract and increase the risk of leukemiaThis study aims to determine the presence or absence of formalin content in tofu using purple sweet potato extract which was carried out using the maceration extraction method.Natural ingredients containing anthocyanins can be used as an alternative to formalin testing. This study used a qualitative research method using purple sweet potato extract as an inspection indicator because it contains anthocyanin which is capable of detecting the presence of formaldehyde in tofu by means of a color change reaction.anthocyanin which is amphoteric in nature which has the ability to react well with acidic and basic pH, if in an acidic medium the anthocyanin will turn red. Formalin is acidic, so when anthocyanin meets formalin it will produce a red color that is increasingly concentrated. Meanwhile, if the anthocyanin pigment does not change color to red or remains in its original color, then it does not contain formalin. Anthocyanins will change color as the pH value changes The results showed that the 19 tofu samples tested were declared negative as indicated by the absence of a reddish-blue discoloration reaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of endophytic fungal isolates from the leaves of the Chinese Ketepeng (Cassia alata L) plant on the growth of Malessezia furfur and to determine the significant differences of each treatment of endophytic fungal isolates from the leaves of the Chinese Ketepeng (Cassia alata L) plant on the growth of Malessezia furfur. The method in this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatments were: JEKA 1 (Chinese Ketepeng Endophytic Fungus 1), JEKA 2 (Chinese Ketepeng Endophytic Fungus 2), Positive Control (Ketoconazole), and Negative Control (Aquadest). The results showed that 2 isolates of endophytic fungi were successfully isolated from the leaves of the Chinese Ketepeng plant. After testing the inhibitory power against the Malassezi furfur fungus, the JEKA 1 isolate obtained an inhibition zone value of 10 mm and the JEKA 2 isolate an inhibitory zone value of 11 mm. The results of the analysis using the Kruskal-Walis test showed that there was an effect of endophytic fungal isolates from the leaves of the Chinese ketepeng plant (Cassia alata L) on the growth of the fungus Malassezia furfur. Then from the results of further tests using Duncan's test, it was found that each treatment, namely the negative control treatment was significantly different from JEKA 1, JEKA 2 and positive control, while there was no significant difference between JEKA 1, JEKA 2 and positive control.
