Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to measure the effectiveness of Listen English Daily Practice (LEDP) application in the improvement of 8th graders’ listening comprehension skills. There were 34 students comprised in one class involved as the sample of this study. This research used quantitative method with experimental approach and one-group pretest post-test design. In collecting the data, 20 multiple-choice questions in the pre-test and post-test were used as the instruments after the students were instructed to listen to conversation videos taken from YouTube. Data analysis of paired sample test was used in analyzing the data. That data analysis showed that the average score gained by the students in the post-test (82.20) was higher than the one in the pre-test (49.70). Besides, the calculation by using paired-sample test revealed that the standard error mean made by the students in the pre-test was 1.606 while in the post-test was 1.371. These findings showed that the errors made by the students in the post-test was smaller than in the pretest. The correlations between LEDP application as variable X and students’ listening comprehension skills as variable Y computed through paired-sample correlations indicated significant value of 0.01 which was lower than 0.05 (Sig. 0.01<0.05); meaning that the two variables were correlated. Therefore, this research rejected H0 and accepted Ha. To conclude, LEDP was an effective application utilized in improving students’ listening comprehension skills.Keywords: LEDP application, listening comprehension, application as teaching mediaAbstrak  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas dari aplikasi Listen English Daily Practice (LEDP) pada peningkatan keterampilan pemahaman menyimak siswa kelas 8. Terdapat 34 orang siswa dalam 1 kelas yang dilibatkan sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ekperimen dan disain one group pre-test post-test. Dalam mengumpulkan data, 20 pertanyaan pilihan berganda pada pre-test dan post-test digunakan sebagai instrument dengan terlebih dahulu meminta siswa untuk menyimak topik percakapan yang peneliti ambil dari YouTube. Analisa data statistic paired-sample test digunakan dalam menganalisa data. Hasil Analisa tersebut menunjukkan capaian nilai rerata siswa pada post-test (82,20) lebih tinggi daripada nilai rerata pre-test (49,70). Selain itu, perhitungan menggunakan paired-sample test menunjukkan bahwa standar rerata kesalahan pada pre-test asalah 1,606, sedangkan pada post-test adalah 1,371. Hal ini berarti kesalahan siswa pada post-test lebih rendah daripada pre-test. Korelasi antara LEDP sebagai variabel X dengan keterampilan pemahaman menyimak sebagai variabel Y yang dihitung melalui paired-sample correlations menunjukkan nilai signifikan 0,01 lebih rendah dari 0,05 (Sig. 0,01<0,05) yang berarti terdapat korelasi antara kedua variabel tersebut. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini menolak H0 dan menerima Ha. Sebagai kesimpulan, LEDP merupakan aplikasi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemahaman menyimak siswa. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Profitability, Leverage, and Firm Size on Firm Value with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a moderating variable. In the era of globalization and increasing competition, companies are not only expected to achieve financial gains but also to take broader social and environmental responsibilities into account. The sample used in this study consists of 100 companies listed on the LQ45 Index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020 to 2023 period.The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis with a moderating approach. The findings indicate that Profitability and Firm Size have a positive effect on Firm Value, while Leverage has a negative effect. Furthermore, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is proven to function as a moderating variable that strengthens the influence of Profitability, Leverage, and Firm Size on Firm Value. These results provide valuable insights for company management in optimizing firm value through effective management of Profitability, Leverage, Firm Size, and CSR. This study is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of corporate finance literature and serve as a useful guide for investors in making investment decisions.

Abstract

ISPA is one of the most common diseases in Indonesia, but there are still many people who do not understand the proper prevention and treatment. By increasing public knowledge and behavior in the prevention and treatment of ISPA through counseling. The method used in the research process is a lecture system. ISPA counseling can significantly increase public knowledge and behavior in the prevention and treatment of ISPA. ISPA counseling is one of the effective strategies in increasing public knowledge and behavior in the prevention and treatment of ISPA. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct continuous and extensive ISPA counseling to increase public awareness and knowledge about ISPA.

Abstract

Pada fase awal pendidikan di Sekolah Dasar, kemampuan dasar yang di kembangkan adalah kemampuan membaca, menulis dan berhitung. Siswa dapat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang mata pelajaran lain dengan membaca. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa kelas rendah terus mengalami kesulitan membaca. Studi ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi mengenai efektivitas penggunaan media animasi berbasis Articulate Storyline untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca tahap awal pada siswa kelas rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur. Peneliti mendapatkan 50 jurnal yang terbit dari tahun 2020-2024 berdasarkan pencarian dengan kata kunci media animasi articulate storyline dan kemampuan membaca permulaan, kemudian dari 50 jurnal tersebut terpilih 20 jurnal yang benar-benar sesuai dengan topik penelitian yang diangkat oleh peneliti. Berdasarkan hasil dari kajian literatur media pembelajaran animasi articulate storyline berpengaruh positif pada kemampuan membaca permulaan antara lain 1) meningkatkan semangat siswa dalam belajar membaca, 2) dapat mengenalkan huruf, suku kata dan kata melalui cara yang menarik, 3) mengajak siswa untuk dapat belajar secara mandiri melalui media animasi articulate storyline yang dapat diinstal di smartphone, 4) melalui animasi secara visual membantu memudahkan siswa untuk dapat mengingat huruf, 5) penggunaan media animasi juga membantu guru untuk mengkondisikan kelas dengan lebih baik karena melalui penggunaan media animasi, siswa tidak mudah merasa bosan selama mengikuti pembelajaran membaca. Berdasarkan hasil temuan analisis, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan media animasi berbasis articulate storyline sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas rendah.

Abstract

Learners' science literacy skills in science learning activities become an important ability for learners to face the times. The ability of learners to respond to contextual topics can show the qualifications of their science literacy skills. The research conducted aims to describe the science literacy skills of students at the Islamic Junior High School  level on environmental issues that occur around them. Through descriptive quantitative method, the researcher presents the results of students' science literacy ability in working on contextual questions based on environmental issues along with supporting and inhibiting factors in supporting learning activities. The study involved 25 students at one of the Islamic Junior High School  in Jombang. Based on the analysis of the profile of students' science literacy skills at one of the Islamic Junior High School  in Jombang, it was found that the general average score of science literacy skills of grade 7 students was 44.72 in the low category. There are several factors that cause the low science literacy skills of these students, including interest in learning, learning strategies, and learning facilities that still need to be optimised.         Keywords: science literacy, environmental, contextual issue. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i4.pp1648-1664
