Abstract: This research is a study of the expansion of the meaning of kanji which has bushu æ—¥(hi). This study aims to facilitate the classification of the kanji based on the form of the expansion of the meaning. This research using descriptive method by describe the origin of kanji and expansion of meaning in the kanji that has bushu æ—¥(hi). this study using the rikusho theory to determmine the origin of each kanji, then determine how the shape of the expansion that occors in each kanji. Based on the rikusho theory and determination of the expansion of meaning, the writer concloudes that the kanji that has bushuæ—¥(hi) generally expansion of meaning to belong the category of meaning expansion from concrete to abstract.Keywords: Expansion of Meaning, Kanji, Bushu, Rikusho, Hi

Menyebarnya wabah Covid-19 di seluruh dunia menimbulkan dampak yang menyebabkan banyak universitas terpaksa mengubah sistem belajar menjadi pembelajaran daring. Namun muncul keraguan mengenai pelaksanaannya, terutama mengenai partisipasi dosen dan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis ingin mencari tahu bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring Bahasa Jepang dilihat dari interaksi yang terjadi antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Untuk itu, dilakukan observasi pada 6 mata kuliah keterampilan Bahasa Jepang yang dilaksanakan pada platform aplikasi pembelajaran Google Classroom. Data penelitian diambil dari ujaran dosen dan mahasiswa pada bagian stream dan classwork aplikasi Google Classroom selama bulan April 2020. Berdasarkan hasil analisa coding dan kategorisasi terhadap data tersebut, ditemukan bahwa interaksi yang terjadi antara dosen dan mahasiswa cenderung bersifat prosedural di mana dosen memberikan instruksi mengenai pelaksanaan pembelajaran, tugas dan ujian. Selain itu terlihat juga upaya untuk menjaga hubungan sosial antar dosen dan mahasiswa. Walaupun interaksi tersebut penting dalam pembelajaran, namun hal ini tidak secara langsung bermanfaat bagi peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan Bahasa Jepang mahasiswa. Dibutuhkan usaha agar interaksi bersifat kognitif muncul dalam pembelajaran dengan membuka ruang diskusi dan pemberian feedback secepatnya.

Abstract: The moral message of persistence in the anime Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis can contribute to the development of knowledge, especially for Japanese language learners by providing additional knowledge about anime, Roland Barthes' semiotic concept, and the moral message of persistence so that it can be realized in everyday life. day. The purpose of this study is to describe what moral messages describe persistence in verbal and non-verbal communication in the anime. The method used is observation, listening technique, note-taking technique and literature study. The results of the analysis show that there are five moral messages that describe persistence based on verbal communication and three moral messages that describe persistence based on non-verbal communication from characters in the anime Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) based on Roland Barthes’s semiotic analysis.Key Words: The Moral Message, Persistence, Anime, Semiotic, Gin no Saji.

Abstract: Kanji is a means of communication in Japanese society in writing. Inside the kanji there are elements that represent the basic meaning called bushu. Therefore, an understanding of bushu is necessary to understand the kanji. This study aims to describe the changes in the meaning of bushu kanji, namely hi hen and renga found in Jouyou Kanji (daily use of kanji). The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Kanji dictionaries and books on the formation of the origin of kanji are used to look for changes in meaning in bushu hi hen and renga. The results of the analysis of this study found a change in meaning from concrete to abstract, general to specific and some kanji are difficult to find changes.Key Word : Kanji, Bushu, Hi Hen, Renga, Semantic Change

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out the usage of first deiksis persona, second deiksis persona, and third deiksis persona in the questions of choukai JLPT N3. The method used was descriptive qualitative, while for data collection technique used waslistening and note-taking techniques. The analysis of deiksis persona form used pragmatics theory of deiksis persona by Levinson (1983). The results of this research show that in the questions of choukai JLPT N3 found three types of deiksis persona on pronomina persona with each type of deiksis persona is divided into two forms namely singular and plural. The first deiksis persona is singular and plural, the second deiksis persona is singular, and the third deiksis persona is singular. Abstract: Sentence-final particle in Japanese called shuujoshi. This study discusses the Japanese sentence-final particle and its equivalent in Indonesian. The particle particles as object to discuss in this study, namely zo. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. A data in this study is collected from reading the conversational dialogues in manga. The results is founding the sentences in manga are indicated using that particles, then has a function called dialogical and non-dialogical. Abstract: Advertising is a message that connects advertisers with consumers. Anautomotive advertisement titled Toyota Doraemon is made in series using Doraemoncharacter. Toyota insert the advantages of its product in every scene and storyline. As amedium of information, advertisements are interesting to observe and disassemble thecontents of the message so that hidden meaning behind the signs is revealed throughPeirce’s semiotic theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. A data inthis study is collected non-verbal signs and classified based on icons, indexs, andsymbols. From reading the conversational dialogues in manga. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to analyze students' perceptions of the discussion method in learning Japanese at SMK Tigama Pekanbaru. The method used is quantitative description. This research took place at SMK Tigama Pekanbaru. The number of research respondents in this study were students of class X hospitality, which amounted to 12 people and class XII, which amounted to 31 people, which means the total number of samples was 43 students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique is a descriptive analysis technique or with a percentage. The results of the analysis obtained 4 (four) answer indicators. First, it was analyzed from the interest indicator with an average perception score = 16.64 into the very positive category as many as 12 respondents (32%). Second, analyzed from the attention indicator with an average perception score = 13.48 into the positive category as many as 12 respondents (32%). Third, analyzed from the object indicator with an average perception score = 16.67 into the very positive category as many as 13 respondents (35%). Fourth, analyzed from environmental indicators with an average perception score = 15.32, 15 respondents (41%).Key Words: Perception , Discussion Method, Japanese Language Learning,SMK Tigama Pekanbaru

Strategi metakognitif merupakan salah satu strategi belajar bahasa yang digunakan oleh pembelajar bahasa asing yang berhubungan dengan fokus pada pembelajaran, perencanaan dan evaluasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan strategi metakognitif mahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa Jepang FKIP Universitas Riau. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen dalam penelitian menggunakan angket tertutup dengan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil data deskriptif kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator strategi metakognitif termasuk kategori tinggi. Pada indikator fokus pembelajaran didapatkan hasil dengan nilai rata-rata (3.51); indikator perencanaan (3.51) dan pada indikator evaluasi (3.57). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan strategi metakognitif mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang berada dalam kategori tinggi untuk semua indikator strategi metakognitif, yaitu fokus pada pembelajaran, perencanaan dan evaluasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi metakognitif digunakan secara merata oleh mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang FKIP Universitas Riau.Â

Abstract: This study discussed the equivalent of the final particle yo in Japanese as a function to make listeners aware of things that are not known by listeners in Riau Malay dialect Rantau Kuantan in Pulau Banjar Kari Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the equivalent of the final particle yo in Japanese in Riau Malay dialect of Rantau Kuantan in Pulau Banjar Kari Village. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data was obtained from an original informant from Pulau Banjar Kari Village who did a role play in Riau Malay dialect Rantau Kuantan according to a simple Japanese conversation with the final particle yo which has been translated into Indonesian. The result of this research is that there are 4 variations of endings from 2 different conversational situations that appear in Riau Malay dialect of Rantau Kutan in Pulau Banjar Kari Village. Of the four variations of the suffix the most dominant used by the informants was the suffix ha as many as 5 informants. The suffix ha according to the informant is the suffix that is most often used when trying to tell or alert someone to something that the listener is not aware of.Keywords: equivalent, shuujoshi yo, Riau Malay dialect Rantau Kuantan, Pulau Banjar Kari Village
