Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing information system performance in government agencies in Sleman Regency, focusing on the user perspective. The user perspective needs to be analyzed, considering that in government organizations, there are sometimes information systems that have the same function but different usage instructions. Some information systems originate from the center and others are created independently by the regions. This causes operators to operate several systems that have almost the same function. The dependent variable is system performance, while the independent variables include personal technical skills, top management support, human resource quality, and education and training. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to employees directly involved in the implementation and use of the information system. Out of 160 targeted respondents, 158 completed the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using linear regression, and hypotheses were tested with t-tests. The results show that all independent variables significantly affect information system performance, highlighting the importance of both personal and organizational factors in enhancing the effectiveness of information systems within government institutions.

Abstract

Female students in Islamic boarding school are one of the vulnerable groups to experience nutritional problems caused by several factors, one of which is because there are traditions that can change eating patterns. Changes in eating patterns can be caused by fasting traditions, such as Daud and Ngrowot. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the differences in nutritional status and body composition among female students based on type of fasting habits. This research is an observational analytical study with a cross sectional design at API Asri Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Boarding School Tegalrejo, Magelang in female students aged 16-18 years who were selected using stratified random sampling techniques. Subjects were divided into the Daud (n=34), Ngrowot (n=30), Daud and Ngrowot (33), and without Daud Ngrowot (n=31) groups. Data were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA and Kruskall-Wallis test. Most subjects had been fasting for 3 years and the majority of subjects who practiced Daud and Daud Ngrowot fasting rarely did sahur. However, the eating habits of the four groups did not different significantly. The majority of subjects eating twice a day and rarely exercising. Most of the subjects in the four groups had normal nutritional status, muscle mass, and body water percentage, but most subjects had above normal body fat percentage. There was no difference in nutritional status based on BMI/A (p=0.707), MUAC (p=0.594), WC (p=0.372), and WHR (p=0.201) and body composition such as body fat percentage (p=0.393), muscle mass (p=0.403), and total body water percentage (p=0.346) in the four groups. Nutritional status based on BMI/A, MUAC, WC, WHR, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and total body water percentage did not differ significantly between Daud, Ngrowot, Daud with Ngrowot, and without Daud Ngrowot groups.

Abstract

The aim of this study is analyzed the factors which influence the performance of the state civil servants (ASN / PNS) who work in the Regional Asset and Financial Management Agency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The object of this study are ASN because their performance was assumed not clearly detected. In this study their performance will be linked to work environment, motivation, discipline and work experience. The ASN who have long work experience, high motivation and high discipline resulted good performance. The study uses a moderation variable testing model. The Work Environment as a moderating variable that moderates the effect of the independent variable (motivation, discipline and work experience) on the dependent variable (performance). Work Environment is a working condition and facility faced by ASN. If the work environment is comfortable, ASN will be motivated to work well, so that performance is also high. Experienced ASNs tend to learn a lot from their experience so that their performance is higher. If the ASN is experienced and in a comfortable work environment, the performance will be higher. Likewise, if the ASN has a high level of motivation and discipline and is in a comfortable work environment, the performance will be even higher. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to ASN in the area of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency in all districts and cities of Wilayah DIY. Data obtained using multiple regression. The results of the data analysis show that the work environment has an effect on ASN performance. The work environment variable also moderates the relationship between work experience and performance.

Abstract

Background: Growth failure among children under five years remains a key public health issue in Indonesia and requires appropriate measurement indicators. Conventional parameters such as stunting, wasting, or underweight might not adequately address the multidimensionality of malnutrition. Therefore, the Composite Index of Anthropometric Failure (CIAF) and the Extended Composite Index of Anthropometric Failure (E-CIAF) will provide a better, more detailed, and inclusive population-level representation of growth failure. Objectives: To determine the frequency of growth failure among Indonesian children under five based on CIAF and E-CIAF among the population and in a regionalized setting, and to identify the more sensitive indicator. Methods: Secondary data were obtained from the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) 2022, which included 281,651 children (aged 0–59 months) in 34 provinces. Nutritional status was assessed using anthropometric failure classification by CIAF and E-CIAF. The difference in prevalence in different regions was ascertained by Chi-square testing, and significance was defined as a p-value<0.05. Results: E-CIAF had a higher rate of failure of Indonesian child growth than CIAF (27.0% vs 25.0%). Prevalence of non-Java-Bali kids was high as compared to the Java–Bali region (E-CIAF=28.1%, CIAF=26.9%). In the Eastern region of Indonesia, it had the high prevalence (E-CIAF) (32.0%, CIAF 30.8%). Conclusions: The finding suggested that E-CIAF is more sensitive than CIAF for assessing growth failure. The highest burden of this disease occurs outside Java Bali in Eastern Indonesia, stressing the importance of localized nutrition interventions.

Abstract

Insufficient nutrient intake remains a persistent determinant of child stunting, yet evidence mapping macro–micronutrient intake against household food insecurity in Indonesian urban settings is limited. This study addresses this gap by correlating nutrient intake with HFIAS scores among stunted children in Semarang. This cross-sectional study included 82 stunted children in Semarang, Indonesia. Household food insecurity was assessed using the Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFIAS), while macronutrient and micronutrient intakes were estimated using a Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Data normality informed the use of Pearson or Spearman correlation tests for bivariate analysis. Overall, 61% of households were classified as food-insecure, and most children exhibited inadequate carbohydrate intake and deficiencies in vitamin A and vitamin C. HFIAS scores were significantly correlated with carbohydrate intake (p=0.006; r=0.300) and iron intake (p=0.033; r=0.235), indicating higher food security was associated with higher intake, while no significant correlations were observed for energy, protein, fat, calcium, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin A, or vitamin B12. These findings support integrated family-based interventions combining supplementary feeding (PMT) with strategies to strengthen household food access and affordability. Programmatically, embedding Islamic values, such as amanah (shared responsibility for child wellbeing), halal–tayyib dietary guidance, and community solidarity through zakat/infaq based support that may enhance sustainable family nutrition and food security in urban contexts.

Abstract

Iodine deficiency has been reported to re-emerge in developed countries, such as the United States and Taiwan, with significant cognitive consequences, despite inconsistencies in the existing body of evidence. Meanwhile, Indonesia lacks up-to-date data on population iodine status. This literature review aimed to examine the role of iodine in cognitive development and the impact of iodine deficiency at different life stages. The review employed a literature-based approach by searching English-language articles published between 2016 and 2025 using the Scopus, Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect databases and the PRISMA analytical framework. The included studies were original research and review articles involving pregnant women, children, and adolescents. The findings indicate that iodine deficiency is associated with impaired cognitive function, particularly when exposure occurs during pregnancy. Adequate iodine intake through food fortification programs, supplementation, and consumption of iodine-rich foods supports optimal cognitive development. Therefore, continuous monitoring and strengthening of iodine fortification interventions are required to support human capital development. In addition, enhanced iodine supplementation programs for pregnant women, improved education on iodized salt consumption, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of fortification programs are needed to update and strengthen iodine status data in Indonesia.
