Abstract

The research that has been carried out entitled "The Influence of Using Giant Ladder Snakes Learning Media as Innovative Media on Student Learning Interests in Civics Class 4 Subjects at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan" aims: (1) To determine student learning interest in Civics subjects without using snake learning media giant ladder in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan; (2) To find out students' learning interest in Civics subject using giant ladder snake learning media in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan; (3) To describe the significant effect of the use of giant ladder snake learning media on students' learning interest in Civics subjects in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental design research type. The design uses a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all 4th graders and the samples were selected based on a purposive sampling technique, namely class 4A as the experimental class and 4B as the control class. Data collection techniques in this study were distributing questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis testing using independent sample T-test, coefficient of determination and simple regression analysis. The results of the research that has been done can be concluded that: (1) Students' interest in Civics without using the giant ladder snake learning media in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan is very low. This can be seen in the results of the pre-test questionnaire scores in the experimental class of 993 with 17 students as respondents. (2) Students' interest in Pkn subjects using giant ladder snake learning media in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan is very high. This can be seen in the results of the post-test scores of the interest in learning questionnaire in the experimental class of 1138 with 17 students as respondents. Meanwhile, the results of the pre-test questionnaire were only 993. From this comparison, it can be concluded that students are very interested in learning Civics by using these learning media. (3) There is a significant effect of using giant ladder snake learning media on students' learning interest in Civics subjects in grade 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan. This can be proven by looking at the results of the independent sample t-test, the average value of the experimental class is greater than that of the control class with a score of 66.94 > 60.70 with a significance value (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05. In addition, the results of the determination test with the help of the SPSS 26 application obtained an R Square value of 0.881, which means that the influence of the giant snakes and ladders learning media on students' learning interest was 88.1%. While the simple linear regression hypothesis test results obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the giant ladder snake learning media on students' learning interest in Civics class 4 SD Muhammadiyah 08 Medan. In other words, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

The research that has been carried out is entitled "Analysis of the Use of Picture and Picture Learning Models in Civics Subjects at MIN 2 Medan City". Based on the formulation of the problem, this study aims to describe: (1) How is the use of the picture and picture learning model by the teacher in Civics learning in the VA MIN 2 class in Medan City, (2) How active are students in Civics learning using the picture and picture learning model in class VA MIN 2 Medan City. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were VA class homeroom teachers as well as teachers who taught Civics and also VA class students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study revealed that (1) The use of the picture and picture learning model applied by the teacher in Civics learning in the VA MIN 2 class in Medan City was divided into three stages, namely: the opening, core and closing stages. In the core activity, the teacher's stage uses the picture and picture model in a wayintroducing learning material and conveying the learning objectives to be achieved, explaining Civics learning materials, presenting pictures related to learning materials, arranging scrambled pictures, presenting or explaining the reasons for compiling pictures. (2) The activity of students in learning Civics by using the picture and picture learning model in the VA MIN 2 class in Medan City includes: being enthusiastic about participating in learning, listening to and paying attention to teacher explanations, daring to answer questions, daring to present the results of their understanding in front of the class, students participating in doing group discussions, and participate in carrying out learning assignments.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia merupakan pelajaran yang diarahkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi peserta didik dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan baik dan benar, baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, serta menumbuhkan apresiasi terhadap hasil karya kesastraan Indonesia. Motivasi adalah proses usaha yang dilakukan oleh individu yang mendapatkan perubahan perilaku baru secara keseluruhan sebagai akibat dari pengalamannya pada waktu berinteraksi pada lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ada tidaknya pengaruh ice breaking terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang dignakan pada penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua variable yaitu variable X ice breaking dan variable Y motivasi belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket, dokumentasi dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwasa nilai signifkansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai thitung= 12,653 > ttabel 2,064. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari pemberian ice breaking terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh metode gamifikasi yang berbasis Quizizz terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks berita di kalangan siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Triana Deli Serdang. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa, terutama dalam memahami struktur berita, penggunaan bahasa yang baku, dan penyusunan informasi secara sistematis. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experiment. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan metode gamifikasi berbasis Quizizz dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur keterampilan menulis siswa, serta angket untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan Quizizz. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai posttest siswa di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata nilai pretest kelas eksperimen adalah 65,27 dan meningkat menjadi 82,53 pada posttest, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mengalami peningkatan dari 67,33 menjadi 70,93. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 pada kelas eksperimen, sehingga H₀ ditolak dan Ha diterima. Ini berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan metode gamifikasi berbasis Quizizz terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks berita. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode gamifikasi berbasis Quizizz efektif sebagai alternatif pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan interaktif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa

Abstract

This study aims to determini the effect of problem-based learning models on the ability to write descriptive texts of seventh-grade students at SMP IT Ad Durrah Marelan. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consists of two classes: an experimental class that receives treatment and a control class that does not receive treatment. Data collection techniques use multiple-choice tests in the form of student work in writing descriptive texts. Data analysis techniques start with normality tests, homogeneity tests, and then proceed with hypothesis testing. The results of this study show that the data obtained from post-test and pre-test were analyzed using the T-test from two parties, which gave results that students who were given treatment in the learning process using problem-based learning models experienced more improvement compared to those who were not given PBL learning strategies. This can be seen from the calculation results, where the t-count value is 0.95, while the t table value is 2.0089. This proves that the hypothesis test is accepted and there is a difference in writing descriptive texts between students who were given problem lased learning models and those who were not is bold.

Abstract

The research that has been conducted is entitled “The Effect of Mind Mapping Method on the Ability to Write Short Stories in Class XI Man 1 Karo Students” which is motivated by the low ability of students in compiling a systematic short story structure, developing main ideas, and connecting between ideas logically. The research methodology uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design using non-probability sampling techniques (purposive sampling) and in the form of pre-test and post-test with a total sample of 30 XI-1 students as the experimental group and 30 XI-3 students as the control group. Data collection techniques with observation, essay tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of the pre-test that has been carried out, it is known that the average of the control and experimental classes is not much different, namely the control class pre-test value of 68.00 while the experimental class average is 70.40. After the two classes carried out a different learning process, there was a significant difference in the post-test given, namely the control class obtained an average score of 75.07 and the experimental class obtained an average score of 84.13. Based on the explanation above, it proves that there is an increase in the results in writing short stories after the learning process.
