Abstract

AbstractThe integration of Islamic values in the learning process at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung has become the hallmark of the campus. The Islamic values integrated into the learning process by providing the verses from the Quran for the concepts studied. This study aims to analyze the ability of students used to live in an Islamic boarding school (pesantren) and those who haven’t yet live in an Islamic boarding school in identifying the verses of al-Quran related to some concept of physics. The research was conducted through observation in classrooms and analysis of students’ assignment on identifying. The results showed that generally, students have a decent ability in identifying Qur'anic verses related to the concept of physics. The students' ability appeared not to be influenced by the pesantren educational background. However, largely students are not able to interpret the verses of the Qur'an related to the physics concept in depth. How to Cite : Nuryantini, A. Y.. Karman., Holik, A. Abstract

The role of Islamic stock in poverty reduction was sometimes dubious. This research empirically aims to address any questions and doubts about the impact of Islamic stocks and ZIS (zakat, infaq, & shodaqoh) in reducing poverty. The study chose the period from 2002 to 2015. It is the starting year of Islamic stocks traded in Indonesia until its peak of growth. The method used here is VAR (Vector Autoregressive), which can capture reciprocal relationships among all variables. Based on the calculation with VAR, we found that Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), as a proxy for Islamic stocks, ZIS and poverty have a negative impact reciprocally. The Granger-Causality test shows that all variables have a significant impact on influencing each other. In this research, we propose that stock markets do not directly eradicate poverty, but through the mechanism of capitalisation in real sectors. Meanwhile, ZIS, as an Islamic philanthropy, can provide a direct impact on the poor to improve their welfare.

Abstract

Proper use of methods will largely determine the outcome of the educational and teaching process. Thus, educators must be good at choosing and using methods to match the material and teaching materials. Not to forget, as educators need to pay attention to several principles in the use of methods, so that teaching methods will lead to teaching success. The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply and identify Islamic education methods in the Quran. The method and type of data collection in this study is by library research by collecting books, journals and previous research results that support the research theme. This research data analysis technique uses a descriptive analysis approach. The stage begins with reducing data from library sources, then organizing and presenting data, verifying then ending with concluding data to answer the problem formulation. The results of this study show that the use of appropriate educational methods will have an impact on effective and efficient learning. This means that the method has a function and position and benefits in learning as described in the discussion description. In using the method, a teacher must also pay attention to the principle so that the use of the method remains colored with enthusiasm and direction. In addition, what distinguishes Islamic education methods from others is that all educational and learning activities must be in accordance with what has been outlined in the Qur'an as a reference and in accordance with the hadith

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve active learning through classroom management. The results of the study concluded that First Classroom Management is the teacher's skill to create and maintain optimal learning conditions, and control them when there is a disruption in the teaching and learning process. Both active learning are the result of joint design between teachers (trainers) and students (learners). The first step, teachers create a climate that allows the learning process to occur optimally. The next step, the teacher together with the students agree on the lesson plan to be implemented. Classroom Management Strategies in learning must increase effectiveness in student learning, including; 1. Creating an optimal classroom atmosphere or conditions. 2. Trying to stop deviant student behavior. 3. Creating Work Discipline. 4. Creating harmony between teachers and students

Abstract

This article examines the management patterns of pesantren salaf, pesantren Kanzul Ulum and an-Nida are as a sample, in fostering entrepreneurial behavior among students. This research applies a qualitative approach, which provides an in-depth picture of the actual situation in the field. This research uses the theory of four management functions; Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling. Pesantren have a rich collective scientific heritage. So far, pesantren have prepared the younger generation in various aspects of life, including agriculture, as a symbol of their preparation for the outside world. However, currently, the focus of these preparations has shifted to entrepreneurship, considering its important role in the current global economy. The research results show that Pesantren need to strengthen their identity as Islamic educational institutions before including the field of entrepreneurship into the curriculum. The implementation of a curriculum that is integrated with entrepreneurship needs to be supervised by Islamic boarding school administrators to maintain the Islamic integrity of students in the world of entrepreneurship. The aim is to create students who are competent in the field of entrepreneurship without being trapped in purely material interests.

Abstract

The pipe is a closed channel which is usually circular in shape which is used to flow the fluid with a full flow section. Fluid flow that is in a closed pipeline, both laminar and turbulent flow types, must have suffered head losses. Head loss is caused by friction losses in the pipes, reducers, valves and others. Saguling Hydroelectric Power Plant itself has 2 rapid pipes (penstock) which have an important role as a distributor of water /discharge potential energy into kinetic energy to drive turbines using the heads of each unit. calculation of losses arising from the factors - the above factors need to be analyzed to provide input output as well as reference information regarding penstock head losses that occur in the rapid pipe (penstock) in the Parakan Kondang Hydroelectric Power Plant. The resulting head losses can be a reference to one of the factors that affect the performance of the turbine generator, which can be seen from the amount of power reduction generated.

Abstract

Persistent mismatches between vocational graduate competencies and industry requirements have resulted in suboptimal employment absorption rates in Indonesia, particularly amid Fourth Industrial Revolution demands. This study examines link and match management between vocational schools and the business-industrial world (DUDI) to enhance graduate employability. A qualitative comparative case study was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Cilaku and SMK Negeri 1 Cikalongkulon in Cianjur Regency. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observations, and documentation analysis with purposively selected participants including principals, teachers, DUDI representatives, students, and alumni. Analysis employed Miles et al.'s (2014) interactive model based on Robbins and Coulter's (2009) management functions framework. Both schools systematically implemented link and match through comprehensive planning involving early industry participation, integrated organizational structures with frequent communication mechanisms, holistic implementation of eight program pillars including curriculum synchronization and teaching factories, and participatory evaluation processes. Graduate employment absorption reached 68-74% within six months, exceeding national averages. BNSP-certified competency verification significantly accelerated employment timelines. Findings demonstrate that partnership quality—characterized by structural integration, communication intensity, and nationally recognized certification—surpasses partnership quantity in determining employability outcomes. Despite structural constraints including limited regional industry diversity and competency gaps, adaptive institutional responses facilitated program effectiveness, contributing empirical evidence for systematic school-industry collaboration strategies.

Abstract

Speaking skills remain one of the most challenging aspects of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning for senior high school students, particularly in contexts where teacher-centered practices dominate classroom instruction. This study investigates the effectiveness of Discovery Learning in enhancing ninth-grade students’ speaking skills in an EFL classroom. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study involved 60 students divided into an experimental group taught using Discovery Learning and a control group receiving conventional instruction. Students’ speaking performance was measured through pre-test and post-test speaking tasks assessed using an analytic speaking rubric covering fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, and confidence. The data were analyzed using paired-samples and independent-samples t-tests, complemented by effect size analysis. The results revealed a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group’s speaking performance, with a large effect size, indicating the strong impact of Discovery Learning. Further analysis showed that fluency and confidence experienced the greatest improvement. These findings suggest that Discovery Learning provides meaningful opportunities for active language use and supports both cognitive and affective dimensions of speaking development. The study contributes to EFL pedagogy by demonstrating the applicability of discovery-based instruction to speaking skills in senior high school contexts.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has boosted standard of living among societies. This research tries to find the impact of manufacture growth in information technology on Indonesia’s economic growth. It is a time series analysis with data from the 1st quarter 1994 until 3th quarter 2016. Data used are GDP (Gross Domestic Products), the exchange rate rupiah over USD, and manufacture in information technology. The method of VECM is used to describe bi-directional relationship among variables, and it also enables us to pose endogenity with the exception to specific variable. Empirical results conclude that manufacture’s growth in the information technology has a significantly positive influence on Indonesia’s economic growth, both in the short-term and the long-term. Meanwhile variable exchange rate only has influence in the short term, not in the long term. This finding suggests that the improvement of information technology can boost economic growth nicely. Indonesia as a developing country, should tackle good regulation and promote innovation in this sector to face strict global competitiveness. Innovation in information technology is a high-cost project, so all requirements must be provided proportionally and put it as the top priority. By improving manufactures in information technology, many jobs can be opened; to recruit new employees. This will decrease the unemployment and poverty rates.

Abstract

Red dragon fruit is one of the strategic horticultural commodities that is growing rapidly in Banyuwangi because it has an exotic appearance and produces fruit that can be consumed. One area that cultivates organic red dragon fruit was Jambewangi. There were several problems in Jambewangi, such as farmers didn’t know profit distribution and cost’s share between marketing channels in organic red dragon fruit. The purpose of this study was to analyze the profit share and cost-share in Jambewangi. Determination of the research location used the purposive method and the method of determining the respondents used the snowball sampling method. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The analysis used is the quantitative analysis used to measure the profit’s share and cost’s share. The results of the analysis can be concluded that the highest profit share value was found in channel 1 with 76.17% and the lowest cost share was also found in channel 1 with 23.83%. This result showed that channel 1 was the most efficient organic red dragon fruit marketing channel, compared to other marketing channels.
