Abstract

Self-assessment in practicum courses may develop students' characters, for example, honesty, discipline, and responsibility. Moreover, it can also improve students' initiative, critical, and creative thinking. However, assessment for practicum courses is fully conducted by lecturers without any involvement from students. This study aims to develop self-assessment instruments to assess students’ characters while performing fashion design practicums using the HOTS approach. The instruments were developed using the 4D model by Thiagarajan. The model consists of some stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The sample was collected from 15 students taking the Haute Couture course. The participants of this study were selected using purposive sampling. The developed instruments were validated by experts and were considered “Almost Perfect”. The inter-rater reliability index is higher than 0.7, so it indicates that the instruments met the criteria required. Some experts in fashion design were involved to validate the instruments. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the self-assessment, it was found that 14 out of 15 students were considered competent or having very good performances. The developed instruments can be used to assess students’ performance characters in practicum courses as they may measure students' competency (hard skill) and characters (soft skill). This study reveals that self-assessment of work attitudes needs to be pursued during practical learning to enhance learning motivation and develop relevant competencies.

Abstract

The future often contains a lot of uncertainty because of the times that change quite rapidly. Current needs may change in a few years. Through the use of technology, students can be better prepared to face future careers. This study aims to look at how the implementation of technology-based education can help students prepare themselves for future careers. This research will be carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this study come from various research results and previous studies that are still relevant to the research discussion. The results of this study then found adequate technological skills to help students in facing highly competitive competition in the world of work later. Then through technology-based education, students can be prepared to face various challenges that are always developing in the future. Therefore, there is a need for various supports to be able to provide students with technology-based education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop party wear and find out the preferences of female consumers on H silhouette party dresses with 3D sequin decorations. This research is a Research & Development research. This study uses the 4D Thiagarajan development model, namely: define, design, development, and dissemination. The data collection method in this study was an online Google form questionnaire with 52 respondents. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics. The results of the study were: 1) The realization of an H-silhouette party dress made of satin and organza with 3D sequin decoration, 2) Consumer preference test for party dresses 90.4% were very interested in the 3D form of decoration on party clothes, 87.7% of respondents were interested in the placement decoration, 83% of respondents were interested in the choice of satin and organza, 82.7% of respondents were interested in the H silhouette of party dresses, and 81.5% of respondents were interested in the use of white bones in party dresses.

Abstract

Learning video media has an important role to contain information or instructional messages and can be used in the learning process. In addition, video media can also increase the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of students in participating in the learning process. Costume Design competency learning in the Fashion Design Education Study Program still uses the lecture method and direct demonstrations, so video media is needed to help students explore creativity. Research on the characteristics of Costume Design Learning Video media uses the R&D approach 4 development models of Alessi & Trollip (2001), consisting of 3 stages. namely planning, design, and development. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the development of the characteristics of the learning video for the Costume Design course goes through 3 stages. The planning stage is to ensure that everything is needed in the project, including: defining the breadth of coverage, identifying students, developing boundaries, producing planning documents, producing manuals, determining and gathering resources, conducting brainstorming, and seeking student approval. Design includes developing ideas, conducting task and concept analysis, preparing prototypes, creating flowcharts and story boards, preparing scripts, downloading Ibis Paint supporting software. The development stage includes: preparing text, preparing graphics, producing audio and video, assembling materials using supporting software.

Abstract

Media in learning has a very important role because it can help optimize the learning process and facilitate students to understand the concepts taught. Along with the rapid development of science and technology, resulting in students' learning needs also changing. This requires teachers to always improve their knowledge and ability in developing learning media based on information and communication technology. This training aims to: increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in making learning media using the Corel Draw program that can be applied to help the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The result of this training activity was the increase in knowledge and skills of 12 teachers in making learning media using corel draw, this was evidenced by the completion of 10 learning media consisting of job sheets, handouts, and material exposure in the form of power points. Participant attendance during the training is 100% fulfilled. 85% of participants understood the theory presented by the team. Meanwhile, based on the results of practice, 83% of teachers can create learning media by utilizing the Corel Draw program. Based on mastery of the material, 78% of participants stated that they had no difficulty operating the Corel draw. The satisfaction level of trainees with an average score of 3.63 in the Very Satisfied category, and the usefulness of the training obtained an average score of 3.84 in the Very Useful category. This indicates that the training objectives can be achieved well

Abstract

Fashion is one of the human needs that never runs out to be explored. Exploration of party fashion with the source of cultural ideas can result in unique, creative, and meaningful fashion designs. Developing party fashion with the source of Indonesian cultural ideas is very important because it can enrich party fashion designs and provide more value to fashion. Gala party clothing with the source of the idea I Laurang Sang Manusia Udang indirectly introduces Sulawesi folklore in which there is a moral story about sincerity, patience, never giving up, and confidence which ultimately results in victory and happiness. Creating culturally inspired clothing and exploring culture as a source of fashion creation ideas is important because it can help maintain cultural heritage, create unique works, broaden horizons, show appreciation, and improve the quality of clothing.

Abstract

Inspiration for dressmaking can come from various sources, such as nature and the surrounding environment, culture and traditions, film, music, and art; textiles and fabrics; and architecture and interior design. Indonesia has many heritage buildings that can be a source of inspiration in gala evening party dressmaking, one of which is the Siak Palace in Riau. Siak Palace is one of the heritage buildings that can be a source of inspiration in fashion creation. Some elements of Siak Palace that can be used as inspiration in designing clothing include colors, ornamental motifs, shapes, textures, and traditional Malay clothing. In evening party dressmaking, inspiration from Siak Palace can be taken from the forms of decoration found in buildings and furniture in the palace. In addition, the dominant colors in Siak Palace, such as red, gold, and green, can be a color choice for elegant and magnificent party clothes. The shapes of objects in Siak Palace, such as jewelry, wood carvings, and wicker, can also inspire details on clothing. By combining elements from Siak Palace with modern fashion designs, it can produce unique and stunning party clothes. Gala evening party dressmaking with silhouette A with elements of white and gold, bustier with a princess line, 1/2 circle skirt that has a cleavage on the front, a long shawl on each sleeve, cone-shaped padding variations, using wrap buttons and Japanese zipper, decoration in some parts is one embodiment of the creation of party fashion with the source of the idea of the Siak palace. By taking inspiration from Siak Palace, people can appreciate Indonesian culture and history. In this case, party fashion is not only an ordinary outfit but also a medium to introduce the richness of Indonesian culture and history to the world.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah : 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa SMK N 1 Depok Sleman Program Keahlian Tata Busana kelas X dalam mendesain busana secara digital menggunakan corel draw; 2) meningkatkan keterampilan siswa SMK N 1 Depok Sleman Program Keahlian Tata Busana kelas X dalam mendesain busana secara digital menggunakan corel draw; 3) mengetahui hasil keterampilan yang dicapai siswa SMK N 1 Depok Sleman Program Keahlian Tata Busana kelas X dalam mendesain busana secara digital menggunakan corel draw, serta mengetahui kepuasan peserta pelatihan dalam mempelajari materi desain digital menggunakan software corel draw. Kegiatan pelatihan diikuti oleh 36 orang siswa SMK N 1 Depok Sleman Program Keahlian Tata Busana kelas X. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan secara tatap muka langsung dan tiga kali secara daring serta dilakukan pendampingan secara efektif. Secara rinci kegiatan dilakukan dengan paparan materi, diskusi, penugasan dengan bimbingan, dan evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan sebagai berikut: 1) Peningkatan pengetahuan guru prakarya SMP dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan desain busana secara digital menggunakan corel draw. 2) keterampilan dari hasil pelatihan berupa gambar proporsi badan dan desain busana secara digital menggunakan software corel draw, 3) Tujuan pelatihan dapat tercapai sesuai target yang ditunjukkan dengan 87% menyatakan sangat puas dan 13% termasuk dalam kategori puas, jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan desain digital dengan menggunakan software corel draw termasuk dalam kategori sangat memuaskan bagi para siswa serta jika dilihat 96% pada skor 4 yaitu sangat memuaskan, dan 4 % menyatakan puas, jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan yang dilaksanakan termasuk dalam kategori sangat memuaskan sehingga pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat yang baik bagi sekolah, guru dan siswa

Abstract

A learning attitude is a person's willingness and readiness to learn and develop in the learning process. Learning attitude is essential in the learning process, because a positive learning attitude will help students to more easily understand and master the material on study, be more enthusiastic and motivated to learn, and be more able to apply what they have learned in everyday life. This study aims to determine student learning attitudes in learning CAD system pattern-making in class XII at SMKN 1 Wonosari. This research is quantitative and descriptive. The population in this study was 66 students of class XII. The research sample was determined randomly using Harry King's Nomogram calculation formula with 43 students. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. Test the tool's validity using the Pearson product-moment and reliability test using the Cronbach alpha formula—data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the learning attitude of students in class XII Fashion Design at SMKN 1 Wonosari in learning the CAD system skirt pattern was good. Based on the results of data analysis where 2% are in the "excellent" category, and 98% are in the "good" category. Therefore, students learning attitudes in learning to make basic patterns of skirts according to the cognitive attitude component can be categorized as good, the affective component is a good category, and the conative component is a good category.Keywords: Learning Attitude, Fashion Pattern, CAD System

Abstract

Ecoprint merupakan teknik pencetakan pada kain atau kertas yang menggunakan bahan-bahan alami seperti daun, bunga, dan kayu untuk menghasilkan pola dan warna yang indah. Pelatihan ecoprint sangat penting untuk fesyen berkelanjutan karena fesyen merupakan industri yang memiliki dampak besar terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan membuat ecoprint sebagai upaya memberikan bekal kewirausahaan sekaligus menuju fesyen yang berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah ceramah untuk menyampaikan teori ecoprint, metode demonstrasi untuk memberikan contoh proses pembuatan ecoprint, dan praktek membuat ecoprint hingga produk jadi yang dilakukan oleh peserta dengan didampingi tim pengabdi. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah sebagai berikut (1) Terselenggaranya kegiatan pelatihan membuat ecoprint sebanyak tiga kali tatap muka yang diikuti oleh 20 siswa dan empat orang guru dengan tingkat kehadiran 100% (2) Lebih dari 90% siswa mampu membuat produk ecoprint berupa tempat pensi/tas mukena/dompet kosmetik yang siap dipasarkan. Sebagian besar peserta menyatakan puas dengan kegiatan ini dan berpendapat bahwa pelatihan ini bermanfaat bagi pengembangan diri bidang fesyen, pengayaan materi dalam menghias tekstil, peningkatan kualitas diri, peningkatan kualitas lembaga, dan tuntutan pembelajaran kurikulum 2013. Kata kunci— Pelatihan, Ecoprint, Kewirausahaan, Sustainability Abstract Ecoprint is a printing technique on fabric or paper that uses natural materials such as leaves, flowers, and wood to produce beautiful patterns and colors. Ecoprint training is essential for sustainable fashion because fashion is an industry that hugely impacts the environment. The purpose of this training activity is to provide knowledge and skills in making eco prints as an effort to provide entrepreneurial provisions as well as towards sustainable fashion. The methods used in this training activity are lectures to convey eco print theory, demonstration methods to provide examples of the process of making eco prints, and the practice of making eco prints to finished products carried out by participants accompanied by a service team. Results of the activity: (1) The implementation of training activities to make eco prints three times face-to-face which was attended by 20 students and four teachers with an attendance rate of 100% (2) More than 90% of students were able to make eco print products in the form of pensi/mukena bags/cosmetic wallets that were ready to be marketed. Most participants expressed satisfaction with this activity and argued that this training was useful for self-development in the field of fashion, material enrichment in decorating textiles, self-quality improvement, improving the quality of institutions, and learning demands of the 2013 curriculum. Keywords— Training, Ecoprint, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability
