Abstract

Most of snacks or foods at school contained many dangerous chemical material which is dangering students health. When students consumed it in long periode resulting indigestion, respiratory disorder, neurological disorder, liver damage, cancer and reproductive health. This activitiy was being held to increase students knowledge to change their attitude and behavior in choosing foods and snacks. By this activity, it was found that most students lack of knowledge about chemical contamination damage for their health. Therefore, by sharing health information, students could understands that consuming foods contained chemical material in long periode causing various health problems including reproductive health. After they received those informations, students had better understanding about chemical contamination damage but also how to identify which foods are contaminated. The post tets scores have increase by 25%. So it could be conclude that, by sharing health information, students had better understanding and formed attitude to do positive thing.Keywords: knowledge, chemical contamination, teenager, foods

Abstract

Pemerintah telah mencanangkan Program Pendewasaan Usia Perkawinan (PUP) sejak tahun 2006. PUP adalah upaya untuk meningkatkan usia pada perkawinan pertama sehingga mencapai usia minimal pada saat perkawinan yaitu usia 20 tahun bagi wanita dan 25 tahun bagi pria. PUP bukan sekedar menunda sampai usia tertentu saja tetapi juga mengusahakan agar kehamilan pertamapun terjadi pada usia yang cukup dewasa. Dengan adanya PUP diharapkan remaja mempunyai pengertian dan kesadaran dalam merencanakan keluarga, mempertimbangkan berbagai aspek berkaitan dengan kehidupan berkeluarga, kesiapan fisik, mental, emosional, pendidikan, sosial, ekonomi serta menentukan jumlah dan jarak kelahiran mempertimbangkan berbagai aspek berkaitan. Metode untuk mencegah dan mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang Program pendewasaan usia perkawinan, pada remaja, tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang Program pendewasaan usia perkawinan, dan kesehatan reproduksi pada remaja, metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pre test sebelum pemberian materi untuk mengetahui pengetahuan siswi kemudian pemberian materi PUP untuk mengevaluasi siswi diberikan post tes, hasil yang sudah diberikan pada siswi dari jumlah 33 sebelum diberikan materi pengetahuan baik hanya 8 setelah diberikan pengetahuan tentang PUP 33 sudah berpengetahuan baik semua.

Abstract

PMS conditions that are not treated properly in some women can disrupt their quality of life. One of the therapies recommended by the international organization The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in managing PMS symptoms is exercise. Yoga is a form of exercise that can be done before menstruation. With Yoga, the mind calms and relaxes the body so that it can control stress, anxiety, depression and also overcome dysmenorrhea. This service activity was carried out with the aim of providing education on premenstrual syndrome  treatment with yoga exercises. The activity method is carried out by providing Health Education using slides and leaflets, as well as practicing yoga poses with a certified instructor. Measurement of educational success is carried out through pretest and posttest. Community service activity in partnership with the family learning center (PUSPAGA) on January 5 2024 at Politeknik Harapan Bersama, Tegal City, with 36 young women participating from 6 high schools in Tegal City. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in knowledge after providing health education about treating PMS with yoga practice. The importance of the role of relevant agencies in providing health information and monitoring physical activity of adolescents at school age.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sebanyak 17% penduduk Indonesia merupakan remaja 10-19 tahun, dan 80% diantaranya aktif menggunakan media sosial. Studi kepada siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas 80% siswa menggunakan media sosial dan lebih dari 5 jam perhari. Meskipun bermanfaat sebagai sumber informasi, komunikasi, dan hiburan, namun berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan belajar dan masalah psikologis akibat kecanduan. WHO mencatat bahwa 20% anak dan remaja di dunia mengalami masalah kesehatan mental, terutama usia 15–29 tahun. Salah satu upaya pencegahan dampak negatif media sosial adalah dengan mengadakan kegiatan penyuluhan. Penyuluhan bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman remaja mengenai dampak negatif penggunaan media sosial terhadap kesehatan mental. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 50 siswa dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Metode evaluasi menggunakan pretes dan postes. Hasilnya menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 66,6% (pretes) menjadi 93,0% (postes). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penyuluhan sangat efektif meningkatkan pengetahun remaja tentang dampak negatif media sosial dan cara pencegahannya. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong remaja lebih bijak dan sehat dalam bermedia sosial.Abstract: As many as 17% of Indonesia's population are teenagers aged 10-19, and 80% of them actively use social media. Learning from high school students shows that 80% of students use social media, spending more than 5 hours per day. Although useful as a source of information, communication, and entertainment, it has the potential to cause learning disorders and psychological problems due to addiction. The WHO notes that 20% of children and adolescents worldwide experience mental health problems, especially those aged 15-29. One effort to prevent the negative impacts of social media is through counseling activities. The counseling aims to increase adolescents' understanding of the negative impacts of social media use on mental health. This activity involved 50 students using lecture and discussion methods. The evaluation method used a pretest and posttest. The results showed an increase in the average score from 66.6% (pretest) to 93.0% (posttest). These findings prove that counseling is very effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge about the negative impacts of social media and how to prevent them. This activity also encourages adolescents to be wiser and healthier in using social media.

Abstract

Abstrak: Lansia yang tidak mendapatkan nutrisi yang cukup mungkin lebih rentan terhadap infeksi dan penyakit karena sistem kekebalan tubuh mereka melemah. Kekurangan nutrisi dapat menyebabkan malnutrisi pada lansia, yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan berat badan, kelemahan otot, dan masalah kesehatan lainnya. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan pada 45 kader posyandu. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan yang terbagi dua sesi yaitu sesi pertama berupa penyampaian materi atau ceramah dan disesi kedua dengan demontrasi bagaimana caranya membuat makanan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi lansia. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dengan 20 pertanyaan dan dilakukan posttest maupun pre test. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa peningkatan pengetahuan kader cara mendeteksi kekurangan gizi serta membuat menu makan untuk kebutuhan gizi lansia, hal ini terbukti dengan rata-rata post test pada kader memperoleh nilai 85 – 95 sebanyak 62% dan nilai 95-100 sebanyak 38%. Penilaian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam membuat menu makanan untuk lansia.Abstract: Elderly people who do not get enough nutrients may be more susceptible to infections and diseases as their immune system weakens. Nutritional deficiencies can lead to malnutrition in the elderly, which can result in weight loss, muscle weakness, and other health problems. Proper nutrition is essential for maintaining brain health. This community service was conducted on 45 posyandu cadres. This activity was carried out with a counseling method which was divided into two sessions, namely the first session in the form of delivering material or lectures and the second session with a demonstration of how to make food to meet the nutritional needs of the elderly. Evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire with 20 questions and carried out post tests and pretests. The results of this activity are in the form of increased knowledge of cadres on how to detect nutritional deficiencies and make meal menus for the nutritional needs of the elderly, this is evidenced by the average posttest on cadres scoring 85-100 85 - 95 as much as 62% and 95-100 scores as much as 38%. This assessment shows an increase in knowledge and skills in making food menus for the elderly.
