Abstract

The attendance or attendance system is a recording or provision of information on a person's presence which indicates that the person has provided information about his presence and absence, then it is stated in the form of an attendance report. Along with the development of technology, an attendance recording has also developed, where we used to use paper attendance to fingerprint attendance. In educational institutions such as campuses, attendance has an important role in the process of developing a student. Until now, there are still many campuses that still use conventional attendance to record the presence of students in class, which allows for human error or fraud from both lecturers and students. Therefore, a solution is possible to suppress errors that may occur, namely by creating a website-based attendance or attendance system where the QR Code is used as an auxiliary medium in recording the presence or absence of a student at the STMIK AKBA Makassar Campus.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the process of developing teaching methods using infographic and comic life media on interest in learning chemistry, teaching methods using infographic media and comic life on interest in learning chemistry can be declared valid, practical and effective for use in schools. This type of research is development research. The data analysis technique used to obtain the appropriate data, so that it can be processed using the data technique validation results of the infographic and comic life media teaching methods. Data on the effectiveness of learning media, data on the practicality of learning devices. The procedure for developing teaching methods includes needs analysis, design phase, realization/construction phase, test and evaluation phase and implementation phase. Development results in the form of teaching methods based on infographics and comic life that can be used by teachers and students in the learning process. In the expert test of instrument validation, the teaching method underwent several revisions before being implemented in schools until a valid, effective and practical learning media was obtained. The results of the validation of infographic and comic life media with an average validity value of 4.0. The practicality of teaching methods meets the criteria by providing convenience for educators/teachers and students in the learning process and the effectiveness of teaching methods meets the criteria by looking at the positive responses of students with a percentage of 70% stating strongly agree and 30% agreeing.

Abstract

School libraries, especially elementary school libraries, as learning resources that contain various library instructions, can increase the interest in reading by school residents, especially teaching staff and students, and provide continuous opportunities to expand and deepen their knowledge. The purpose of the study is to build a web-based school library information system, especially in State Elementary School 108 Home Base, a system development method using Rapid Application Development (RAD). Based on the results of research on the Library Information System On Public Elementary School 108 Home Base Based On Android which has been built has good feedback for users because it makes it easier for users to borrow books at State Elementary School 108 Home Base, makes it easier for admins/officers to manage book lending data, book return data, and can help admins/library officers in the process of managing reporting in the library of State Elementary School 108 Home Base

Abstract

Peningkatan kemampuan kosakata dan pengucapan bahasa inggris menjadi hal penting untuk mendukung kemampuan komunikasi siswa di era globalisasi. Namun,sebagian siswa di SMPIT Darussalam Makassar masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengingat kosakata, mengucapkan kata bahasa inggris dengan benar, serta kurang percaya diri ketika berbicara menggunakan bahasa inggris. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui penerapan English Corner berbasis flashcards.Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program Asistensi Mengajar Mandiri (AjarMi) yang melibatkan mahasiswa asistensi mengajar dan siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Metode yang digunakan adalah pembelajaran partisipatif,di mana siswa terlibat aktif dalam latihan kosakata dan pengucapan. Perpustakaan sekolah dimanfaatkan sebagai area English Corner untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih santai dan interaktif. Flashcards berisi kosakata bahasa inggris sehari hari digunakan untuk membantu siswa berlatih membaca, pengucapan, dan menyusun kalimat sederhana. Observasi dilakukan selama kegiatan untuk melihat partisipasi dan perkembangan siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa menjadi lebih aktif, antusias, dan percaya diri dalam belajar bahasa inggris. Siswa juga lebih mudah mengingat kosakata dan mulai menggunakan ungkapan sederhana dalam bahasa inggris selama kegiatan berlangsung. Selain itu, program ini mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan kolaboratif. Meskipun demikian, beberapa siswa masih memerlukan bimbingan lebih intensif karena keterbatasan rasa percaya diri dan singkatnya waktu pelaksanaan program. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan serupa perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dengan media dan aktivitas pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan motivasi belajar bahasa inggris siswa.

Abstract

Desain grafis berbasis digital, khususnya CANVA, merupakan keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa baru. Tujuan Kegiatan pelatihan optimalisasi penggunaan CANVA ini adalah untuk memberikan pembekalan pada mahasiswa baru dalam mendesain media visual sehingga menghasilkan media presentasi yang efektif dan komunikatif. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 85 mahasiswa semester 1 di prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Inggris Terapan angkatan 2025. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah pelatihan partisipatif (participatory training) dengan pendekatan workshop berbasis praktik yang meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan (Needs Assessment), pemberian materi interaktif, kolaborasi dan presentasi hasil, serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Hasil perbandingan pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini mampu meningkatkan kemampuan desain visual mahasiswa baru secara signifikan yang ditandai dengan sebagian besar responden memilih kategori jelas dan sangat jelas. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah mampu memahami prinsip dasar desain dengan lebih baik setelah pelatihan. Sementara jumlah mahasiswa pada kategori “tidak jelas” dan “sangat tidak jelas” mengalami penurunan yang cukup signifikan, kategori “cukup jelas” juga tetap menunjukkan jumlah yang cukup, menunjukkan adanya proses transisi pemahaman. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan optimalisasi penggunaan CANVA efektif dalam membekali mahasiswa untuk memahami desain pembelajaran berbasis visual.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the competencies of science and mathematics Olympiad coaches in Barru Regency through training and mentoring programs. The activity was held at the Barru Regency Education Office and involved elementary and junior high school teachers from various subdistricts. Participants were grouped by educational level and subject area—specifically mathematics and science—to ensure the training content was tailored to the specific needs of Olympiad coaching. The five-day training utilized a combination of lectures, discussions, problem-solving practice, and mentoring. The training materials were aligned with the MIPA Olympiad guidelines, covering concept reinforcement, problem-solving strategies based on Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), and systematic student coaching techniques. Activity evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, observation of participant activities, and participant response questionnaires. The results of the activity showed an improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in solving and designing HOTS-based problems. Additionally, participants demonstrated enthusiasm and active participation throughout the program. Conducting the training separately by subject area and school level was a key strength of the program, as it allowed for more focused and participant-centered instruction. Consequently, this community service initiative successfully contributed to strengthening the competencies of MIPA Olympiad coaches in Barru Regency.
