Abstract

Education is one of the key keys to creating and shaping superior human qualities. In Indonesia, the education of children in coastal environments generally faces the same problems, namely low levels of education and inadequate socio-economic life. This study aims to analyze the learning motivation of students in coastal environments, especially in SD Negeri Cilacap 08, South Cilacap District. The method used was qualitative with an ethnographic approach, involving six informants through interviews and observations. The results showed that students' learning motivation varied, with a significant influence from parental support and surrounding social conditions. Students with high motivation receive strong support from parents, while students with moderate and low motivation often experience a lack of sustained attention. An unsupportive education environment and lazy peer influence also contribute to low enthusiasm for learning. This research emphasizes the important role of parents and communities in creating a supportive educational environment to increase students' motivation in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of cooperative learning in strengthening students' civic dispositions at SD Negeri Menganti 04 Kesugihan, Cilacap; (2) identify key aspects of cooperative learning that foster responsibility, collaboration, and mutual respect; and (3) examine how this method encourages active participation and increases students’ awareness of civic values in everyday life. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved 29 sixth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The results reveal that cooperative learning was implemented through structured group tasks, clear role division, and reflective discussions that promoted inclusive participation. These elements effectively nurtured students' civic dispositions by encouraging them to collaborate, respect differing opinions, and engage meaningfully in group work. The most influential aspects were the structured activities and clear task expectations that required every student to contribute. Furthermore, cooperative learning significantly enhanced students’ civic awareness—particularly in terms of responsibility, discipline, empathy, and social engagement. This study provides insights into the potential of cooperative learning as a powerful method for character and civic education at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study began with observations at SDN Cinangsi 03, which revealed low student engagement in learning due to the limited application of 21st-century innovative approaches. The aim of this research, conducted in a 5th-grade elementary school, is to analyze the impact of project-based learning on student activity and learning outcomes on the topic "Magnet, Electricity, and Technology for Life." The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of project-based learning significantly enhances student engagement and fosters 21st-century skills, such as creativity, collaboration, and communication. Additionally, most students exhibited an improvement in positive attitudes during the learning process, including responsibility, teamwork, and active participation. These findings suggest that the PjBL model is recommended as an effective teaching approach for creating interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experiences in elementary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap keterampilan kerja sama dan komunikasi peserta didik kelas IV mata pelajaran PKN di SD Islam Al Azhar 16 Cilacap. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen pretest-posttest dengan desain two group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IV SD Islam Al Azhar 16 Cilacap yang berjumlah 60 orang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 30 orang siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen (15 orang) dan kelompok kontrol (15 orang). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap keterampilan kerja sama (t hitung = 3,42 > t tabel = 2,015) dan keterampilan komunikasi (t hitung = 3,15 > t tabel = 2,015) peserta didik kelas IV mata pelajaran PKN di SD Islam Al Azhar 16 Cilacap. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kerja sama dan komunikasi siswa.

Abstract

21st century education demands holistic development of students’ character, not only in cognitive aspect but also affective and psychomotor. One approach that can be used to achieve this goal is Problem Based Learning (PBL), a student-centered learning model that emphasizes solving real problems as the context of learning. This study aims to develop and analyze the implementation of PBL model integrated with religious values in order to form positive habits and improve students’ understanding of learning materials in grade V of elementary school. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were grade V students in one of the elementary schools in Cilacap Regency, totaling 43 students. The instruments used include student habituation observation sheets, material understanding tests, attitude questionnaires, and documentation of learning activities. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of PBL model based on religious values has a positive impact on the formation of students’ character, especially in terms of honesty, responsibility, cooperation, and caring. This habituation is naturally integrated through problem-solving scenarios that are linked to the context of daily life and religious values, such as fairness in sharing, helping each other, and respecting the opinions of others. The integration of religious values in learning not only enriches the context of problem solving, but also encourages students to reflect on their actions and thoughts in a moral and spiritual framework. Teachers play an important role as facilitators who design relevant learning scenarios, as well as being role models in implementing these values in teaching and learning activities. Thus, the PBL model based on religious values can be used as an alternative effective learning strategy to form positive habits and improve students' conceptual understanding, especially at the elementary school level. The recommendation from this study is the need for training for teachers in designing and implementing the value-integrated PBL model, as well as support from the school to create a conducive learning environment for the formation of students' character in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Islamic values are often considered to hinder self-development, a mistaken assumption that deviates from the true teachings of Islam. Learning religion from an early age actually increases an individual's capacity to grow wiser, more analytical, and more resilient in facing problems, and to distinguish between benefits and harms. This research in Bojongsari Village, Banyumas, examines the strengthening of Islamic values in adolescents as a preventive strategy against the influence of Western-style sexual behavior that is increasingly prevalent in the era of globalization. Using a qualitative approach, the study results show that internalizing faith, morals, and worship successfully forms a moral barrier. Support from family, religious leaders, and educational institutions through religious studies, spiritual guidance, and contextual religious literacy has proven effective in shaping a strong Islamic character. Thus, strengthening Islamic values is a strategic step to ensure adolescents maintain noble morals and are not easily eroded by cultures that conflict with religious teachings.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Student Teaching Learning menekankan pada pencapaian tujuan dan kesuksesan kelompok dengan berdasarkan pada kerja-kerja anggota kelompok. Tujuan dan kesuksesan kelompok tidak hanya dalam hal memahami suatu pelajaran, hanya bekerja menyelesaikan masalah tetapi juga mempelajari sesuatu secara kelompok Dalam metode ini mahasiswa setelah belajar dalam kelompoknya masing-masing anggota kelompok yang setingkat kemampuannya akan dipertemukan dalam suatu pertandingan/turnamen yang dikenal dengan “tournaments table” yang diadakan tiap akhir unit pokok bahasan atau akhir pekan. Skor yang didapat akan memberikan kontribusi rata-rata skor kelompok.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif menggunakan Macromedia flash yang layak dan efektif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas V. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini mengacu pada langkah 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel, yaitu: (a) Define, (b) Design, (c) Development (d) Dissemination. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MI Istiqomah Sambas Kabupaten Purbalingga. Subjek uji coba lapangan dilakukan di kelas V dengan jumlah kelas eksperimen sebanyak 27 siswa dan kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan non tes. Tes dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan soal evaluasi, non tes dilakukan dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan penilaian dari ahli media, bahasa dan materi berkategori “sangat valid” dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata validasi ahli 4,41 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil respon guru 4,5 dan respon siswa 4,3 dengan kategori “sangat baik” berdasarkan kriteria rata-rata respon siswa. Hasil uji gain memperoleh skor 0,38 dengan kategori sedang, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia interaktif menggunakan macromedia flash layak dan efektif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of bullying behavior on the self-confidence of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Karekan, Pagentan, Banjarnegara, and to identify the contributing factors behind bullying incidents. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that bullying occurred in verbal, physical, and social forms. The impacts included decreased self-confidence, fear of speaking in front of the class, social withdrawal, emotional distress, and reduced learning motivation. The primary contributing factors were lack of parental supervision, emotional distance due to parents working out of town, and exposure to inappropriate social media content. Perpetrators were generally dominant students lacking empathy. This study highlights the urgent need for collaboration between schools and parents to prevent bullying and foster character development and social awareness among students.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyse the negative impacts of social media usage on student behavior at elementary schools and to explain the advantages and disadvantages of social media usage. Social media is part of technological advancement that allows online usage without spatial or temporal constraints, thus accessible to anyone including elementary school students. Inappropriate usage of social media has negative impacts on student behavior. The method employed in this research is the case study method. A case study is an investigation that utilizes various sources of evidence to examine a contemporary phenomenon within the context of real-life situations. Keyword: Social Media, Negative Impacts, Students Abstrak: Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menganalisis mengenai dampak negatif penggunaan media sosial pada perilaku peserta didik di sekolah dasar dan menjelaskan kelebihan serta kekurangan dari penggunaan media sosial. Media sosial merupakan bagian dari kemajuan teknologi yang penggunaannya secara online tanpa batas ruang dan waktu sehingga dapat dilakukan oleh siapa saja termasuk peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Penggunaan media sosial yang tidak sesuai kebutuhan memiliki dampak negatif pada perilaku peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus. Studi kasus adalah suatu penyelidikan yang menggunakan berbagai sumber bukti untuk meneliti suatu fenomena kontemporer dalam konteks kehudupan nyata yang sebenarnya.
