Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat hubungan antara work engagement dan spiritualitas.  Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara spiritualitas dan work engagement. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Bukit Asam, Persero berjumlah 46 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua macam skala yaitu Skala Work Engagement berdasarkan dimensi Work Engagement Schaufeli & Bakker (2003), dan Skala Spiritualitas berdasarkan dimensi Spiritualitas Milliman (2003). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara work engagement dan spiritualitas pada karyawan PT. Bukit Asam, Persero. Ketika karyawan secara spiritual menemukan makna yang dalam dengan pekerjaannya maka karyawan akan memperlihatkan tingkat engagement yang tinggi dengan menunjukkan semangat, dedikasi, dan konsentrasi penuh terhadap pekerjaan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal pada mahasiswa ditinjau dari tawadhu’ dan penyesuaian diri. Responden dalam penelitian ini merupakan 166 mahasiswa angkatan 2017 di Universitas X Yogyakarta. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji asumsi, uji hipotesis dan uji beda. Komunikasi interpersonal diukur menggunakan skala yang digunakan oleh Yulianto (2010) berdasarkan teori De Vito (1997), tawadhu’ diukur menggunakan skala berdasarkan teori Thalib (1991) dan penyesuaian diri diukur menggunakan skala yang digunakan oleh Wahyudi (2012) berdasarkan teori Fatimah (2010). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara tawadhu’ dan komunikasi interpersonal pada mahasiswa, serta terdapat hubungan positif antara penyesuaian diri dan komunikasi interpersonal pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Psychological Well-Being by reviewing Work-Life Balance for women lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This research used quantitative correlational research. The population in this study was 225 female lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study used a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of being married, having children, and willing to be the research subject. The sample was 54 female lecturers at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The scale used in this study is the Work-Life Balance Scale and the Psychological Well-Being Scale, which are adjusted and adapted based on the theory. This study used simple regression analysis techniques using the Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 23.0 for windows. The results of the R square test for the Work-Life Balance variable on Psychological Well-Being are 0.081. These results indicate that 8.1% of the variable Psychological Well-Being is influenced by Work-Life Balance, while other factors outside Work-Life Balance influence the rest. From the data on the categorization of Work-Life Balance variables and Psychological Well-Being variables, it is known that the subject is still in the low to medium category.

Abstract

Engagement plays an important role in academic success and in the world of work, it is a hallmark of an optimal learning experience (Bilge, Tuzkol, Dots, & Cetin, 2014). Engaged students usually do well in their studies (Kuh, Kinzie, Buckley, Bridges, & Hayek, 2007; Salanova, Schaufeli, Martinez, & Breso, 2010). Therefore, academic engagement is needed for students, so that the objectives of the academic process activities can be achieved effectively and efficiently. This study aims to determine the effect of gratitude, academic self-efficacy, on academic engagement. The sample in this study were students of the Faculty of Psychology, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang with a total population of 968 students. The sample in this study amounted to 155 students of the psychology faculty. The sampling technique in this study uses a non probability sampling technique, which means that not all students have the same opportunity to be used as research samples. Data analysis will be carried out by linear regression analysis at a significance level of 0.005, using the SPSS.20 application. The results showed that there was a significant effect of gratitude, academic self-efficacy academic engagement (R2 = 29.4%). The results of the hypothesis test show that gratitude and academic self-efficacy have a significant effect on academic engagement.

Abstract

Jiwa, dalam bahasa Arab disebut Nafs, dan dalam bahasa Yunani disebut Psyche yang diterjemahkan dengan jiwa atau Soul dalam bahasa Inggris. Sedangkan Roh biasanya diterjemahkan dengan Nyawa atau Spirit. Jadi, sebenarnya sejak manusia mengalami proses kejadian sampai dengan sempurna menjadi janin dan dilahirkan ke atas dunia, telah ada unsur lain yang bukan fisik material yang ikut menyusun semua peristiwa penciptaan itu. Justru adanya unsur non-fisik inilah yang membedakan manusia dari makhluk hidup lainnya sebagai satu kelebihan. Kelebihan ini akhirnya tampak nyata pada norma-norma nafsiyah (psikologis) dengan segala kegiatannya. Tulisan ini akan memaparkan sekilas pembahasan mengenai jiwa menurut paradigma psikologi Islam di Indonesia dimulai pada periode pra-psikologi Islam (Hamka) sampai dengan periode psikologi Islam berkembang (Mujib & Muzakir).

Abstract

Tulisan ini memaparkan sekilas menganai sejarah  pekembangan psikologi islam yang penjelasannya dimulai dengan menceritakan sejarah psikologi kontemporer. Selanjutnya juga dijelaskan alasan-alasan munculnya psikologi islam, definisi dan ruang lingkup psikologi islam, serta metode-metode yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan keilmuan psikologi islam. dengan adanya tulisan ini diharapkan dapat memicu para ilmuan psikologi untuk mengembangkan psikologi islam sebagai sebuah ilmu yang establish seperti psikologi kontemporer.

Abstract

This study aims to examine self-compassion and gratitude with psychological well-being moderated by leadership style in lecturers at South Sumatra State Universities. The participants of this study were 452 lecturers, and the participants were taken using purposive sampling techniques. This research instrument uses the psychological well-being scale (Cronbach's alpha a = 0.852), the Multifactor Leadership Style MLQ-5X Scale (Cronbach's alpha a= 0.85.), and the Self-compassion Scale (Cronbach's alpha a = 0.817). The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the model test analysis using path analysis found that the role model of leadership style as a moderator variable of the influence of self-compassion and gratitude on psychological well-being in PTN lecturers is fit and significant. Furthermore, the results of moderated regression analysis found that leadership style provides a moderator role in self-compassion and gratitude on psychological well-being. This study highlights the moderating effect of leadership style on work climate, self-compassion, and gratitude on psychological well-being, which shows that the high or low influence of work climate, self-compassion, and gratitude on psychological well-being depends on the high or low moderation of leadership style.

Abstract

Previous studies on gender differences in mental health has reported significantly different results. Inconclusive results have also been obtained from existing literature focused on differences in psychological well-being in organizations and industries between women and men. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of gender differences on psychological well-being of state Islamic religious universities lecturers. The study procedures were carried out with a quantitative method, focusing on 652 lecturers from Indonesian state Islamic universities. The selected respondents were assessed with the Ryff Psychological Well-Being Scale and the Bem Sex Role Inventory. The data obtained were then analyzed using MANOVA to determine differences between 2 gender groups, namely male and female. The results showed that there were significant gender differences in psychological well-being between male and female lecturers at state Islamic religious universities. In terms of autonomy and self-acceptance, men outscored women, while in terms of personal growth and positive relationships with others, women had higher scores. In addition, high masculinity was the most significant factor in both men's and women's psychological well-being.

Abstract

The low level of community preparedness in facing disasters, especially floods, is often exacerbated by the lack of digital literacy in the community in utilizing information technology. This study aims to examine the level of digital literacy and community preparedness in Rawas Ulu District in facing flood disasters and to review whether there is a correlation between the ability to utilize information technology and increasing such preparedness. A qualitative approach was used in this study to analyze knowledge and use of information technology, obstacles faced in its use, and community understanding of flood mitigation. Data were obtained from two types of instruments, namely 1) Knowledge and use of information technology with 6 (six) variables; 2) Community knowledge related to flood disaster mitigation with 5 variables. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents understood the risk of flooding 88%, but there were still limitations in knowledge of disaster mitigation. The use of information technology, especially social media, was quite high at above 90%, but digital literacy was still low. Another interesting finding was that there was a positive correlation of 70% between the ability to use information technology and community awareness of flood mitigation in Rawas Ulu District. The results of this study highlight the need to increase the potential use of information technology in improving community preparedness in flood mitigation and recommend the development of community-based mitigation programs by forming information communities.
