Abstract

Indonesia has a very rich fisheries resources and potential both in the fresh waters, the coast, and sea water covering land diversity of fish and fisheries. One type of fresh water fish that has been cultivated is Tilapia. In Indonesia, Tilapia is economically valuable fish which has been cultivated by fish farmers in various areas. Seginim district in Southern Bengkulu is one region in Sumatera that produces cultivator of Tilapia. The objectives of this study were to 1) know the income of Tilapia farmers and 2) know the income distribution in the business of Tilapia. The determination of respondents in this research was taken from the business of Tilapia. The respondents were determined by using census method and the number of respondents were 54 people. The primary data was taken directly from the respondents by using interview method to the enterpreneuss, and by using questionaires. The secondary data was obtain from the Seginim district office and related literature.the analysis instrument used was the income analysis and income distribution of the business of Tilapia. The results of the study showed that the income of the business of Tilapia in Seginim district of Southern Bengkulu was Rp22,204,786.27 per farm per season. The part obtained by fish feed businessman was 45.17 percent; by fish seed businessman was 29.25 percent; by fish farmers was 19.22 percent; and by farm workers was 6.36 percent.

Abstract

This research purposse are to calculate and compare the productivity of land, income, and efficiency between paddy farming using certified seed and paddy farming which uses non-certified seed. The research was conductedin the village of Kemumu with a total sample of 15 farmers certified seed specified users using census method and 22 non-certified seed user farmers were determined using purposive sampling method. Methods of data analysis using quantitative analysis and qualitative (descriptive). The analysis showed that the average productivity of the land (5,112 Ton/Ha), average income (Rp 16.501.384,77/Ha), and the average efficiency (3,91) forpaddy farming using certified seed. While the average productivity of the land (3,918 Ton/Ha), the average income (Rp 10.951.035,29/Ha), and the average efficiency (3.24) for paddy farming which uses non-certified seed. Based onthe results ofthe analysis, itcan be concluded that certified seed is better than non-certified seed both in terms of land productivity, income, and efficiency.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess the performance of the business of dried fish processor were approached by the amount of income and the value of the economic efficiency of the business. The study was conducted in the city of Bengkulu in March to June 2015 by surveying 55dried fish processorpurposively. Data were analyzed descriptively that utilizes primary data and analyzed by income value approach and economic efficiency. The results showed total revenue the business of making dried fish Rp 2,312,925.00 or receiving one year is Rp.92.517.019, 00. Total variable costs are devoted to produce dried fish amounted to 99.50%, while total fixed costs amounted to only 0.5%. 99,50 % from the variable cost are 46.17% used for the purchase of raw materials and 35% to buy ice cubes, while the fixed costs only Rp. 9819.95, or 0.50% of the total costs. Overall the total cost of the production process of making the effort to dry in the study area is Rp. 2,000,178.35 every week . If taken into account in cash the business of making dried fish in a week will earn a revenue of Rp 312,747.12 or if calculated with non-cash expenses, the revenues of Rp.626.055,25 every week. If the business activities run continuously, then in a month of dried fish making business will generate income of Rp.2.504.221,00. Efficient economic level (R / C) at 1.15. This measurement shows that this business has a relatively good performance for relatively efficient.

Abstract

Coconut sugar is one commodity that has potential importance in the composition of the food in the community. Viewed in terms of quality, the quality of the products are still not equal among the producers. This causes the bargaining position of producers becomes weak and coconut sugar prices tend to be low. Seluma Regency especially Western Seluma District has fertile lowland areas and is one of the main producers of coconut sugar precisely in Purbosari village. This study aimed to determine the income level and income-raising efforts of coconut sugar producers in the Purbosari village, Western Seluma District, Seluma Regency. Location of the study was set intentionally (purposive). Data taken in this study were derived from the primary data (interviews) and secondary data (through literature). This study used survey method and the method of selecting the sample in this study was calculated using census. The data analysis used in this study were a quantitative and qualitative analysis. Quantitative analysis was used to calculate the income of coconut sugar producers and qualitative analysis conducted through a descriptive approach. Based on the research discovered that the average income of coconut sugar producers was Rp715.569,60 per week / 40 trees. Common difficulties faced by coconut sugar producers were capital, production engineering, business management and marketing network. Seluma local governments can play a role in efforts to increase the income of coconut sugar producers by providing them with capital, appropriate technology, improved knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as business management assistance.

Abstract

Solid and liquid waste from PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari only do the management and utilization. The Company not count the economic value of waste produced. If the company counting and know about the economic value of waste, so the company will know advantage which ought to be accepted by PT. SIL. This research aim to identify kind and form of waste, and also counting and analysis economic value of waste yielded by PT. SIL. Analysis method the use is descriptive analysis for first aim and quantitative descriptive for second aim. Based on the research result, solid waste the yielded is empty fruits bunch, fiber, shell and solid. Liquid waste consist of condensate and sludge oil. The form and benefit from each yielded waste different each other. Total economic value of waste yielded by PT. SIL is Rp 518.140.954,47/month. The mentioned mean that the waste of yielded by PT. SIL have economic value and than the company getting of benefit, that is the company getting income from waste is Rp 518.140.954,47/month.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the purpose to: (1) Determine the system of financing farming Broccoli, (2) Calculate farm income of Broccoli, (3) Investigate marketing channels of Broccoli, Calculate its marketing margin and knowing marketing efficiency Broccoli in Sumber Urip village Sub-District Selupu Rejang District of Rejang Lebong. Respondents of Broccoli Farmers are censused 45 Farmers while marketing agencies are determined with Snowball Sampling, total respondent marketing agencies are 25 respondents. The result of this research indicated that the average farmers in the Sumber Urip village their own capital resources obtained from previous farming Broccoli. The averaged  income of Broccoli as Rp 5.850.717/Ut/MT. The marketing analysis indicated that the only Broccoli marketing channel in Sumber Urip village was through Farmers à Countryside à Wholeseller à Town   Wholeseller à Retailers à Final Consumers. The marketing margin analysis showed that the total marketing margin Broccoli is Rp 10.942/Kg. Broccoli Marketing efficiency analysis results in Sumber Urip shows that every marketing agencies Broccoli studied all efficient it can be seen from the value criteria Countryside Wholeseller is 1.28, Districts Traders 5.52, Town Wholeseller is 1,83 and Retailers 19,21.

Abstract

This research was done to investigate whether tilapia growers has business competitiveness both in competitive and comparative. This study aimed to analyze the competitive advantage, comparative advantage, the impact of government policies on output and input. Effect of output and input changing based on a sensitivity analysis on the competitiveness of tilapia fish rearing business, the level of tilapia grower business competitiveness between small farmers in Musi Rawas regency. The respondent was determined by purposive method deliberately carried out in accordance with the criteria set by the researcher. The respondents was conducted by using proportionate stratified random sampling. This study used the primary data and secondary data. The result of Pam Method shows that a small farmers of tilapia enlargement at musi rawas regency has competitive advantage with PCR < 1 by 0,55.  It also has comparativeadvantage with DRCR < 0,37.  The goverment policies toward  tradadable input produkction were in the form of subsidies.  Based of sensitivity analysis the enlargemen of tilapia will be lost if tilapia production decrease 10%, the price of tilapia it self decrease 5,5% and if the feed price increase 7%.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to determine the flow of supply chain Fresh Fruit Bunches in PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari (PT.SIL) and analysis the value of marketing margin earned each marketing agency in the supply chain Fresh Fruit Bunches in PT. SIL. Primary data and secondary data were used in this research which was taken in February 2016 to March 2016. Data collection was done by observation, recording and interviews. Data analysis technique was in this research quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of this research concluded that there were three patterns of flow in the supply chain PT.SIL. The third stream of the supply chain, namely, supply chin flow pattern 1: non plasma farmers - traders - supplier - PT.SIL. The flow pattern of the supply chain II: non plasma farmers - supplier - PT.SIL. The flow pattern of the supply chain III : non plasma farmers – PT. SIL. The flow patterns of supply chain IV: plasma farmers - KSU-BKM - PT. SIL. Marketing margin obtained marketing agencies in the supply chain flow 1 was Rp 230/ kg. Stream supply chain II had a value of marketing margin Rp 230 / kg. The flow of the Supply Chain III had a value of marketing margin 0/Kg. The flow of the supply chain IV had a value of marketing margin of Rp 200 / Kg.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of fish consumption and to analyze factors that affect of it in Bengkulu City. This research was carried out from13 October 2015 until 17 May 2016. The method used to determine the pattern of fish consumption was descriptive method, and the method used to analyze the factors which affect the consumption of fish was multiple linear regression method with Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Based on the results of the study, fish consumption patterns in Bengkulu City was influenced by education and household income, the higher education and household income, the higher the amount of fish consumption and the quality of the fish consumed, the average of household consumption was 15.006 kg / month with the amount of consumption of marine fish is 62.81%, higher than the amount of consumption of freshwater fish (37.19%), and the proportion of expenditure for fish consumption was 16%. Age, family size, household income, price of Nile Tilapia and prices of goods substitution (chicken) affected the rate of consumption of Nile Tilapia significantly, while education variable did not affect the level of consumption of Nile Tilapia significantly. Age, Chub Mackerel prices and the prices of goods substitution (chicken) affected the consumption of Chub Mackerel significantly, while the variables of education, family size, and income did not affect the level of Chub Mackerel consumption in Bengkulu City. Keywords: Consumption, Consumption Patterns, Fish, Household, Bengkulu City

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of the decision of farmers about salak in choosing the marketing channel and what factors influence what is done by salak farmers in choosing the marketing channel in Parsalakan village, West Angkola District, South Tapanuli District. North Sumatra. Based on the results of research, decision-making pattern of salak farmers in choosing marketing channel is dominated by husband and wife team roles are equal. While the results of statistical analysis of farming experience provide a significant effect on the decision of farmers. While age, cash requirement, length of formal education, distance, the number of dependents of the family and the area of land partially do not give a significant effect on the decision of farmers in choosing marketing channels.
