Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) to know the value added resulting from the processing of coffee beans into ground coffee aroma. (2) to analyze what the marketing mix strategy that prioritized to increase the sales volume of ground coffee. (3) to know what the alternative marketing strategy that right of any marketing mix. The method used is the value-added method Hayami and analytical hierarchy process (AHP). The results showed that the value added obtained in this process for regular packaging amounted to 8.065 with value added ratio of 26,52%, while the value added to the plastic foil ratio amounted to 10.035 with an added value of 27,50 %. On this criterion that the first priority is the financial condition of the company with its weight amounted to 0.334 while the subcriteria most priority is the product strategy with a weight of 0.345. Capital is a priority of the most preferred in stretegi products with a weight of 0.667. then became a priority to the alternative product is mendeversifikasikan size product with a weight of 0.262.

Abstract

The research’s purpose is to find out a causality between price and demand on curly red chili, as well as between prices of commodities associated with it, and price formation correlation between markets. Data analysis method used is Granger causality and lag-test. The results show that there is no causality between price and demand of curly red chili in the province of Bengkulu. While the relationship between prices, there is one way relation between price of curly red chili with rawit chili and green chili on lag-2, and curly red chili price in some markets (origin and reference) have impact to another market (destination).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) The characteristics of fishermen's business in Kota Bani Village, Putri Hijau District, North Bengkulu Regency, and 2) The income structure of fisherman households in Kota Bani Village, Putri Hijau District, North Bengkulu Regency. This research method was carried out deliberately with 20 active fishermen in Kota Bani Village as respondents. The results showed that the business profile of fishermen business in Kota Bani Village included the transportation equipment used was a boat with a weight of 15 PK, as much as 80% of fishermen used fishing nets and fishing rods, the average number of fishermen working days was 20 days/month with 7 hours/day, 60% of fishermen choose Senabah Seblat Harbor because it is near (200-500 m from where they live), the distance to the sea is 4.25 miles, involving family members to help, and active fishermen in fishing groups for an average of 5 years. The average income of fisherman households is IDR 15,728,000/month which is contributed by three sources of income, namely from fishing activities at 87.81%, from agricultural activities (rice and oil palm) at 2.65%, and from non-agricultural activities at 9.54%.

Abstract

Sea cucumbers can be used as an additive in the production of herbal coffee. It has been found in previous study that the ginger sea cucumber coffee preferred by consumers, and the composition of sea cucumber ginger coffee which is observed from chemical properties (acidity/pH and ash content) and physical properties (water content, soluble speed, and steeping levels) has also complied with SNI. Coffee industry has a promising business opportunities in an effort to increase profits or value added. This study aims to obtain an added value of ginger sea cucumber coffee packaging product. Research conducted using the Hayami method to calculate the added value. The result showed that the added value of sea cucumber ginger coffee obtained by Rp 625,858 kg, with a profit rate of 43%. The analysis shows that the sea cucumber ginger coffee can provide an added value which is highly profitable for small industries.

Abstract

This research is aimed at investigating market posisition and market orientation of bakery producers, and designing mix marketing strategy for bakery producers in Bengkulu city. Four bakery producers, namely Surya Bakery, Bake Mart, Karina Bakery and Ais Bakery, are selected purposively as subject of this study. Sixty eight respondents are selected using accidental sampling method for UAI survey, and 4 respondents for each bakery. Relative Market Share and descriptive analysis are used to analyse data obtained from survay. The research found that Surya Bakery can be categorised as market leader, while Bake Mart, Karina Bakery, and Ais Bakery as market challanger, market follower, and market nicher respectively. All bakery producers has custumer orientation. The study also concluded that Surya Bakery should enlarge its market and intisifies promotion, Bake Mart should enlarge its distribution network, Karina Bakery should expose its specific shop and Ais Bakery should find new market segment.

Abstract

The aim for this research is to know the marketing development strategic of traditional meal in Centra traditional food Anggut Bengkulu City using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method dan SWOT analysis. The samples are Cita Rasa, Kueku Yovita and Arzel. To find the priority factor from each marketing mix used Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This research showed that the priority factor from product mix is the hygiene product (0,1222). The priority factor from price mix is the value for money (0,2025). The priority factor from promotion mix is positioning the local product (0,1539). The priority factor from place mix is market location position (0,1841). The internal and external environment is used in SWOT analysis matriks. The Cita Rasa marketing development strategics are giving incentive price for consumers, market expansion, keep and maintain quality, taste and locallity product, and decorate the layout on the attractive display. The Kueku Yovita marketing development strategics are increase the promotion and advertising, giving incentive price for consumer, market expansion, and decorate the layout on the attractive display. The Arzel marketing development strategics are increase the promotion and advertising, giving incentive price for consumer, market expansion, increase the quality, hygiene and taste product, and decorate the layout on the attractive display.

Abstract

This research aim to: 1) to analyze the amount of financial worthiness of rubber plantation as long as economic age in Batumarta 1 Lubuk Raja Ogan Komering Ulu regency. 2) To know the level of sensitivity in replanting rubber to several dominant factors related to finance and advantage in Batumarta 1 Lubuk Raja Ogan Komering Ulu regency. 77 respondents are chosen, about 30 % from 258 population which have represented population, because the population in Batumarta1 homogeneously relative in rubber plantation system, that is rejuveration system. The sample was chosen by using Simple Random Sampling Method. The research methodology is Survey. While the data is analyzed by worthiness count criteria which consist of Net B/C ratio, Gross B/C ratio, Provitability ratio, Net Present value (NPV), Internal Return Rate(IRR), this valuation done to know the worthiness off rubber replanting. Otherwise, also done the counting of sensitivity experimental. The result shows that rubber replanting in Batumarta 1 can be properly applied and the most sensitive factor is the decresing of selling price, increasing of production cost (fertilizer and total cost before tax)

Abstract

This research aim to estimate the amount marketable surplus of rice in Bengkulu City at one season plant March - June 2007; to identify factors influencing marketed supply  of rice and to estimate availability of rice in Bengkulu City. Data collected were primary and secondary data. This research location determined using cluster sampling method with respondent of 89 persons selected using simple random sampli.  The data analysis were used involving descriptive and  multiple regression analysis estimated using ordinary least square method. The result show that : 1) percent marketable surplus of rice in Bengkulu City is 57,58%, the ret is 42,62%; 2) Factors influencing marketed supply of rice in Bengkulu City are : Rice price, cultivation index, and status of paddy farm.

Abstract

This research aims to explores level of success, constraints and benefits of BRDP on rural poor  community. Qualitative methods which were based on prepare data or information as parts of flexible methods was used. The results showed  that BRDPs implemetation has runned well. These was indicated by indicated the readiness and completed, range from province to village levels as well in infrastructure and institutional and beneficiaries. The success of implemented on village level instutitonal was supported by UPKD as leader on productive economic activities .These have UPKDs completed administration equipments, and the service product had competitive advantages comparing to others service product. The continuity  of the activities post project could be well quarantee since these problems both normative and outcome real aspects were minimized. This induces improving on net working systems among UPKD, completing the financial-budget systems based on norms, and optimalities of Financial Assistant roles in village.

Abstract

This paper aimed to determine the handling system receiving TBS in PT.Bio Nusantara Teknologi to three supplier of partners supplier, plasma supplier and general supplier and how opportunities for improvement that can be done. This study used decriptive analysis and F test to examined wether there is discrimination in handling treatment and price of TBS among suppliers. The results showed that there are several steps that must be passed TBS suppliers to sell it to the POM: 1) taking a queue number, 2) The calling queue number, 3) Weighing, and 4) Sorting and loading and unloading. There was no difference in the treatment of the company against a third supplier, but the difference is the quality of fruit that would affect the price. The price difference was tested using the Tukey’s test or BNJ. From the results of the research sequence starting price of the highest rates of plasma suppliers, partners supplier and then general supplier.
