Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the impact of the growth and yield analysis of eggplant due to the dosing of coconut husk liquid organic fertilizer and organic fertilizer. The research was conducted in Krapyakrejo Village, Gadingrejo Village, Gadingrejo District, Pasuruan City with an average rainfall of 1000-1500 mm per year at an altitude of 5 m asl in March-August 2020. The study used a Randomized Block Design consisting of a combination treatment of coconut husk organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers, namely: P1 = POC 300 ml + 100% inorganic, P2 = POC 400 ml + 100% inorganic, P3 = POC 500 ml + 100% inorganic, P4 = POC 300 ml + 50% inorganic, P5 = POC ml + 50% inorganic, P6 = POC 500 ml + 50% inorganic each combination was repeated four times. The data obtained from the study were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test), if there is a real or insignificant effect, then it is followed by the BNJ test at the 5% level.The results showed that the impact of giving coconut husk POC had an effect on the analysis of the growth and yield of eggplant. The dosage of POC coconut husk 500 ml+50% inorganic gave higher yields on the growth and yield components. Eggplant plants with a dose of POC coconut husk 500 ml + 50% inorganic produced fresh weight plot-1 of 93,41 kg, and fresh weight of hectare-1 was 71,74 tonnes higher than other treatments.

Abstract

This research was purposed to find out whether there was any significant correlation of the composting time of teak sawdust and EM4 dose on the growth and yield of lowland flower cabbage plants or not. This research was carried out at the Experimental Field of Universitas Merdeka Pasuruan (Sultan Agung Street), Pasuruan City at an altitude of 4 m-asl. This research used factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) method consisted of two factors and repeated three times. The first factor was the length of composting (L) with L1: one month, L2: two months and L3: three months. The second factor was the dose of EM4 (D) with D1 : 10% EM4 dose, D2 : 20% EM4 dose and D3: 30% EM4 dose. Overall there were nine combinations of treatments. The results showed that there was 20% EM4 dose with a 2 months composting time yielded higher results on all observed parameters. Flower cabbage with a dose of 20% EM4 with composting time of 2 months produced fresh weight of 15.97 tons ha-1, at a dose of EM4 20% with a composting time of 1 month produced fresh weight 13.86 tons ha-1, while the lowest yield at dose of 20% EM4 with a composting time of 3 months produced fresh weight 9.79 tons ha-1.

Abstract

This research aimed to obtain the dose and a tillage system of nitrogen fertilizer and tillage system for optimal cucumber growth and yield. The experiment was designed in a factorial randomized block design. Treatments tested were used tillage system (P) with three levels, namely no-tillage system (P1), minimum tillage system (P2), and intensive tillage system (P3). The other factor use dose of nitrogen fertilizer (D) with three levels, namely 100 kg ha-1 (D1), 150 kg ha-1 (D2), and 200 kg ha-1 (D3) in each combination repeated three times. The results showed that the tillage system with 200 kg ha-1  dose of nitrogen significantly increased in growth and yield of cucumber plants.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the dosage of organic fertilizer and the number of seeds in the planting hole on the growth and yield of sweet corn. The research was designed in a factorial randomized block design. Treatments tested used fertilization dose (P) consisting of three levels, namely dose of organic fertilizer 1.5 tons ha-1 (P1), the dose of organic fertilizer 2 tons ha-1 (P2), and the dose of organic fertilizer 2.5 tons ha-1 (P3). The other factor used several seeds in  hole-1 (J) consisting of three levels, i.e. one seed of plant hole-1 (J1),  two seeds on plant hole-1 (J2), and three seeds on plant hole-1 (J3) each combination repeated three times. The results showed that a combination of organic fertilizer 2.5 ton ha-1 with three seed planting hole-1 significantly increased in growth and yield of sweet corn.

Abstract

Hydroponics uses water as a growing medium and a source of nutrients for the plant. Water conditions suitable for plant growth have a pH of 5.6-6.5. Water conditions in Pasuruan City tend to be alkaline with pH 8. It is necessary to give an acid solution to reduce the pH value. This research aimed to study the effect of nitric acid, phosphoric acid, and sulfuric acid on fluctuation in the pH of hydroponics. The study used a Randomized Block Design with nine treatments: Kebonsari Village water + nitric acid; Kebonsari Village water  + phosphoric acid; Kebonsari Village water + sulfuric acid; Bugul Kidul Village water + nitric acid; Bugul Kidul Village water + phosphoric acid; Bugul Kidul Village water + sulfuric acid; PDAM water + nitric acid; PDAM water + phosphoric acid; and PDAM water + sulfuric acid. The results showed that the phosphoric acid solution was able to maintain the pH in the optimal range of 6,8 – 7,1 for all types of water, more stable than nitric acid and sulfuric acid solutions. Plants cultivated with PDAM water with phosphoric acid solution showed high leaf chlorophyll content (48,480 mg/L), leaf Nitrogen (4,38%), and plant weight (1.807,00 g).

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to obtain the dose of fermented chicken manure and inorganic nitrogen fertilizer for the high growth and yield of cabbage. The study used a Randomized Block Design with one factor, namely the use of a combination of fermented chicken manure and inorganic nitrogen fertilizer. The first treatment was fermented chicken manure 15 tons ha-1 combined with 75% inorganic nitrogen fertilizer; The second treatment was fermented chicken manure 15 tons ha-1 combined with 50% inorganic nitrogen fertilizer; The third treatment was fermented chicken manure 20 tons ha-1 combined with 75% inorganic nitrogen fertilizer; The fourth treatment was fermented chicken manure 20 tons ha-1 combined with 50% inorganic nitrogen fertilizer; The fifth treatment was fermented chicken manure 25 tons ha-1 combined with 75% inorganic nitrogen fertilizer; The sixth treatment was fermented chicken manure 25 tons ha-1 combined with 50% inorganic nitrogen fertilizer. The results showed the effect of the dose of fermented chicken manure and inorganic nitrogen fertilizer on the growth and yield of cabbage crop, the application of fermented chicken manure 25 tons ha -1 combined with inorganic nitrogen fertilizer as much as 75% produces the highest yield on all observation parameters with the highest crop weight weighing 27.37 tons ha-1.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant difference in the composting time of teak sawdust and the dose of teak sawdust on the growth and yield of shallots of the lancor blue variety. This research was conducted in Tidu Village, Pohjentrek District, Pasuruan Regency. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) method consisting of two factors repeated three times. The first factor is the composting time (L) with L1: 4 weeks, L2: 6 weeks, and L3: 8 weeks. The second factor was the dose of teak sawdust (M) with doses of M1: 5 tonnes ha-1 , M2: 10 tonnes ha-1 , and M3: 15 tonnes ha1 . Overall there were nine treatment combinations. The results showed that composting time of 8 weeks and sawdust dosage of 15 tonnes ha1 resulted in a dry weight of wind on shallot bulbs of 10.74 tonnes ha-1
