Abstract

The city of Banda Aceh is predominantly Muslim and has hundreds of mosques. Although most of the mosques are magnificent and beautiful, most of the mosques in Banda Aceh have not met the standards of being friendly to people with disabilities. Therefore, people with disabilities have not received their rights such as stairs, climbing places, wheelchairs, special hearing aids, and seats. The purpose of this study was to find out the facts and expectations of mosques in meeting the needs of people with disabilities in Banda Aceh. This research method uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation, while the objects of the study were 4 mosques, namely the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, the Oman Al-Makmur Mosque, the Harun Keuchik Leumik Mosque and the Baitul Musyahadah Mosque (Teuku Umar Mosque). The subjects of the study were interviewed with a number of informants. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the fulfillment of people with disabilities in four mosques in Banda Aceh city can be said to have met the standards. It can be seen that the four mosques have maximized their efforts in providing special services for people with disabilities in preparing facilities such as wheelchairs, wheelchair access, signs, markings and parking spaces for people with disabilities. Although in the future, a number of these mosques will build facilities and infrastructure for people with disabilities. In addition, in terms of regulations and laws, they have referred to Law No. 16 of 2016 concerning disabilities, so that they have met the requirements in disability jurisprudence. Therefore, considering that the facilities in each mosque, both in the city and in the villages in Banda Aceh, still lack facilities and infrastructure for people with disabilities, in the future the local government and related agencies must prepare concepts and fund allocations that are based on disability-friendly facilities, so that in the future people with disabilities can get the human rights they need.

Abstract

Abstract

The success of learning is greatly influenced by a teacher's ability to design effective teaching strategies. Low student enthusiasm has a negative impact on learning outcomes, highlighting the need for improvement. One proposed approach is the True or False learning model, which can enhance student engagement. This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the topic of faith in qadha and qadar in class VI at MIN 2 Aceh Timur through the application of this model. The method used is action research with two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action and observation, reflection, and revision. The target of the research is class VI students, with data collected from formative tests and observation sheets. The analysis results indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The mastery level in cycle I reached 74.10%, increasing to 85.19% in cycle II. The average student score also rose from 75 in cycle I to 82.8 in cycle II. Additionally, student activity increased from 66.67% in cycle I to 96.3% in cycle II. Therefore, the True or False model is effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes and engagement in Akidah Akhlak lessons.

Abstract

Forest and land fires (karhutla) represent a global issue with serious impacts on the environmennt, economy, and public health, particularly in developing countries such as indonesia. In Indonesia, forest and land fires predominantly occur in peatland areas due to climate change, land-clearing practices, adn natural factors such as the El Niño phenomenon. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework, encompassing the stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and analysis. The literature search and selection process resulted in 10 Indonesian-language scholarly articles published between 2014 and 2024 that were relevant to forest and land fire preparedness. The findings of the SLR indicate four primary strategies for improving preparedness: (1) education through disaster awareness programs and disaster literacy, (2) disaster simulations to enhance rapid response capabilities, (3) optimization of the role of task forces in preventive actions, and (4) technological innovations such as monitoring applications, weather modification, and business intelligence–based dashboards. Community-based approaches and policy support were also found to be effective, although challenges related to resource limitations and inter-institutional coordination remain. In conclusion, these findings emphasize that enhancing preparedness for forest and land fire disasters requires an integrated approach involving multi-stakeholder collaboration, sustained policy support, and the strengthening of community and institutional capacities.

Abstract

Tourism exerts a multidimensional influence on the well-being of communities in destination areas, encompassing economic, sociocultural, and environmental dimensions. This study aims to identify the key factors contributing to local community well-being and evaluate whether dependence on tourism has a measurable effect. A quantitative approach was employed using structured surveys involving 398 respondents from Karang Sidemen Village, Bali. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, multiple linear regression, and independent t-tests. The findings reveal that the economic impact is perceived as the most substantial contributor to well-being, followed by sociocultural and environmental aspects. The regression results indicate that economic, sociocultural, and environmental factors exert an equally significant influence (β = 0.333), whereas community attitudes, behavioral involvement, and tourism dependency show no statistical significance. Additionally, no significant difference in well-being was found between individuals reliant on tourism and those with alternative livelihoods (p = 0.506). These results underscore the importance of equitable and sustainable tourism development policies, emphasizing inclusive economic benefit distribution, cultural preservation, and responsible environmental management to ensure long-term community well-being and sustainability.

Abstract

Pengudang Village in Teluk Sebong District, Bintan Regency, has a well-preserved and diverse mangrove ecosystem that has strategic potential to be developed as a community-based ecotourism destination. Current management remains limited to recreational aspects, while the educational value and contribution to the local economy have not been fully optimized. This community service program aimed to strengthen the development of mangrove educational tourism by enhancing community capacity, providing educational facilities, and encouraging innovation of products based on coastal resources. The method involved a needs assessment through questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions, which served as the basis for designing a training curriculum. The curriculum consisted of modules on mangrove and seagrass ecology, English for tourism, and seaweed-based product processing, supported by learning media such as field guidebooks, posters, and dialogue materials. The results showed an increase in community knowledge of the ecological functions of mangroves, which were previously perceived only as “coastal trees” but are now understood comprehensively as providing coastal protection, serving as carbon sinks, and offering habitats for aquatic biota. Simulation-based English training improved tourism communication skills, despite some pronunciation difficulties, while the integration of digital technology, including the use of ChatGPT, enhanced the learning process. Seaweed processing training resulted in the development of an innovative seaweed pie, a distinctive culinary product with promising economic potential. High community participation, particularly among young people, became an important social asset for program sustainability. The program demonstrated that integrating ecological, educational, and creative economic aspects could strengthen Pengudang Village as a model for sustainable mangrove-based educational tourism development.
