Abstract

This study focuses on developing a culture-based tourism strategy for Tegalinggah Hamlet, Bali, to address challenges while leveraging local opportunities. A SWOT analysis reveals strengths such as archaeological heritage and man-made attractions, combined with accessible locations, and opportunities in the realms of spiritual tourism and the European market. However, drawbacks include management deficiencies, a lack of digital information, and ineffective promotional efforts. Additionally, threats arise from competing attractions, insufficient support, market fluctuations, and poor management practices. To counter these issues, the study proposes a multifaceted solution incorporating innovative digital marketing, strategic external partnerships, a robust online presence, effective management practices, and product differentiation. These initiatives aim to foster sustainable tourism, enhance local economies, and maintain environmental integrity in a competitive landscape. By implementing these strategies, Tegalinggah Hamlet can cultivate a distinctive tourism identity that not only attracts visitors but also supports the community and preserves cultural heritage for future generations. The findings contribute to a comprehensive approach to tourism development, balancing economic growth with cultural preservation in Bali.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the quality of guest room hygiene at Hotel X. A descriptive qualitative research method was used, with data collected through observations and interviews. The results indicate that 80% of the guest rooms at Hotel X meet the established hygiene standards, while 20% do not comply with these standards. Based on these findings, the following recommendations are proposed: Housekeeping management should reconsider the time allocation and room assignments per section to ensure that room attendants are not rushed during the cleaning process. This would allow them to maintain optimal cleanliness standards. Housekeeping management should implement a periodic maintenance plan for repairing furniture and equipment in certain rooms, ideally during low occupancy periods (low season). This approach aims to enhance overall guest room hygiene quality. Room attendants should conduct a final inspection after cleaning each room to verify that it meets cleanliness standards and is properly prepared as a "vacant clean" room.

Abstract

This study analyzes the linguistic landscape in commercial spaces with a case study of two business signs in Indonesia, namely Tokio 「とこや」Barber in Bali and Bing Pop Restaurant in Probolinggo. This study aims to reveal how the use of language and visual elements in signboards reflects identity, marketing strategies, and local socio-cultural dynamics. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a semiotic and sociolinguistic approach, through field observation and visual documentation. The results of the analysis show that the Tokio 「とこや」Barber signboard utilizes Japanese linguistic aesthetics and characters to build an exclusive and modern image, while Bing Pop uses popular language styles and bright colors that reflect a local and friendly approach. Both signboards show a shift in the function of commercial spaces as a place to express global and local linguistic and cultural identities. Furthermore, this study highlights the educational value of the linguistic landscape, as it encourages public literacy in recognizing multilingual expressions, cultural diversity, and the role of visual language in shaping perception. Thus, the linguistic landscape not only represents the language used, but also becomes a visual communication medium that influences public perception of a brand or business space, while fostering broader awareness of language learning and cultural literacy.

Abstract

The advancement of Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology has significantly impacted the methods of foreign language education, including Japanese. This study aims to analyze the implementation of NLP-based technology in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Japanese language learning for non-native learners. Using a literature review and content analysis approach, this article examines various educational applications that utilize NLP features such as automatic feedback, pronunciation training, and real-time syntactic and semantic analysis. The findings suggest that NLP can enrich the learning experience by offering personalized support and adaptive learning paths. However, challenges such as cultural context limitations and dependency on native-speaker-oriented data remain. This research provides insights and recommendations for curriculum developers and educational technology designers in optimizing NLP-based tools for Japanese language instruction.
