Abstract

Prenatal character building reflects the importance of educating children well. Character education can start from the prenatal period in accordance with the Qur'anic verse in QS. Al-A'raf verse 172 which tells the story of fetal interaction with God during the allegiance. Although there is a view that prenatal children cannot be educated on the grounds of the verse QS. An-Nahl verse 78, but learning potential such as hearing and vision can be started early. This research studies the pattern of character building of prenatal children based on the perspective of tafsir at-tahrir wa at-tanwir by Ibn Ashur and its application in society. This research method is a literature study with a descriptive approach of tarbawi interpretation to understand the context of QS. The character building of prenatal children is directed to optimize the potential of as-sam'a, al-abshar, and al-af'idah as mentioned in QS. This involves the coordination of these three potentials to understand the science and nature of things so that children understand the right way to live. Based on the author's analysis, character education methods for prenatal children must pay attention to fundamental values such as al-fitrah, al-samahah, al-musawah, and al-huriyyah by using appropriate methods such as prayer, worship, reading, dhikr, dialogue, joint activities, and naturally conducive methods.

Abstract

The number of suicide cases in Indonesia, a country where Muslims constitute the majority of the population, has unquestionably surprised some Muslims. In Islam, it is prescribed that people should not take another person's life, especially their own. This research uses a literature approach. The purpose of this research is to explore more deeply about mental illness in Hamka's perspective. In essence, every human being can contract mental illness, the only difference is that not all of these problems end in suicide. It can be concluded that according to Hamka, the center of the phenomenon of mental illness is centered on one condition, namely human closeness to God. Humans who have mental health problems (mental illness) are encouraged to get back to know God who created them, follow all things that are commanded, and stay away from things that are prohibited in the Qur'ān.

Abstract

Interpretations with pragmatic and ideological approaches to Qur'anic verses have the potential to trigger deviations in people's understanding. Sensen Komara uses this interpretation to strengthen the ideology and legitimacy of his movement, which has the potential to cause division among Muslims. This study aims to analyze the methods and approaches used by Sensen Komara to examine the legitimacy of Sensen Komara's interpretation of the change in Qibla direction contained in QS. Al-Baqarah verse 142-144, as well as comparing it with authoritative interpretations from leading scholars. The research conducted is library research, namely by collecting library data. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive-analytical method by explaining or describing through clear words and detailing systematically, factually and accurately based on existing data. The interpretation of QS. Al-Baqarah 142-144 by DI/TII Sensen Komara reflects an attempt to use the Qur'an as a means of legitimizing the ideology of their movement. This pragmatic and ideological approach shows the courage to adapt the sacred text according to the context of their struggle. Interpretations that tend to be partial and contextually limited risk ignoring the universal and inclusive dimensions of Qur'ānic verses. As a consequence, the deep spiritual message of changing the Qibla direction as a symbol of Muslim obedience and unity can be reduced to a mere political tool. This interpretation shows the importance of a balance between understanding the historical context and the universal message of the Qur'an.

The open-ended items’ results were calculated using percentage, and the open-ended items’ responses were analyzed using Christensen’s theory of the job-to-be-done. The result shows that teachers’ perception was negative, indicating that their involvement in the curriculum was not accommodated. However, in the context of curriculum development, teachers actually know the job to be done, what experiences needed so the job to-be-done, and has conducted limited actions or practices for the job-to-be-done. Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of milkul yamin in the Qur'an and its relevance to modern times. Using Abdul Hayy al-Farmawi's thematic method theory, this research is library research with a qualitative approach. Primary data is obtained from the Qur'an and books of tafsir, while secondary data is from supporting books and previous articles. The results show that the concept of milkul yamin is not only related to slaves or sexual problems but also concerns social and humanitarian problems. The Qur'an wants the gradual abolition of the slavery system by providing guidelines for fakku-raqabah. Although the locus of slavery is no longer relevant in modern times, the essence of the Qur'an as a guideline still applies, especially in upholding human rights and overcoming various forms of modern slavery such as labour exploitation, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation.

Abstract

In line with the objectives of education in Indonesia, which seek Knowledge, among others, to form noble morals, there are currently immoral acts committed by students both during education and after graduation. This happens since the education process does not emphasize the aspects of tazkiyah and ta'lim, namely the purification of goodness when seeking Knowledge. Thus, this study aims to determine the relationship between Tazkiyah and Ta'lim for the effectiveness of seeking Knowledge. The researcher employed a descriptive method in explaining the interpretation of the mufassir, then analyzed it to explain the context of the verse. It also used a study of taqdim and takhir to explain the change in the context of the verse on the words al-Tazkiyah and at-Ta'lim. The researcher concluded that tazkiyah is prioritized over Salim because it aligns with the purpose of the Prophet's sending to cleanse or remove humanity from error. The prioritization of tazkiyah over ta'lim shows that before an individual receives Knowledge, the individual should purify by maintaining good intentions and actions before receiving Knowledge since Tazkiyah Nafs can give peace of mind so that it will make it easier to receive Knowledge. Therefore, it is appropriate for students of knowledge to purify their intentions and actions before acquiring knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the formation of self-concept according to Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhar and its implications for Islamic psychology. Using a literature analysis approach and Hasan Hanafi's maudhu'i interpretation, this study explores the integration of Qur'anic values in the formation of a healthy self-concept, covering psychological, moral, and spiritual dimensions. The main focus is to analyze how Hamka relates self-concept to spirituality, desire control, and the application of moral values in the Qur'an. This study also connects Hamka's thoughts with modern psychological theories, such as self-actualization and self-regulation, to address issues of identity and mental health in modern society. The results of the study show that Hamka's concept of self is based on purification of the soul (tazkiyatun al-nafs), which is the foundation for forming a healthy concept of self that is capable of facing psychological and social challenges. The implication is that the integration of spirituality and morality in the formation of self-concept provides a holistic approach to overcoming mental health and identity crises. This study offers a new perspective in the development of Islamic psychology by incorporating spirituality in the formation of a positive self-concept, as well as opening up further research potential for practical applications in mental health, character education, and community development.
