Abstract

Abstract

This study is about "Implementation of the Coconut Plantation Profit Sharing Cooperation System between landowners and workers in the Islamic Economic Perspective in Tanjung Solok Village, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province". This study aims to determine the implementation of the coconut plantation profit sharing cooperation system between landowners and workers in the Islamic Economic perspective in Tanjung Solok Village, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province. This thesis uses a qualitative approach with observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques, data analysis techniques are carried out with data reduction. The results of this study indicate that the coconut plantation profit sharing system in Tanjung Solok Village is implemented based on an oral agreement born from family deliberations and local customs. Cultivators bear all labor and maintenance costs, while the proceeds from the sale of coconuts are divided equally between landowners and cultivators. This agreement is not limited by time and can be continued by heirs if one party dies, although in practice there has been fraud from the cultivators. This cooperation has advantages such as opening up employment opportunities, sharing the risk of crop failure, and increasing plantation productivity. The socio-economic relationship between the parties is also closely connected. However, weaknesses remain, such as the potential for unclear agreements, the risk of deviation, lack of supervision, and uncertainty in the distribution of results because it is only based on verbal agreements. Therefore, a written agreement and increased legal awareness are needed so that this cooperation runs better. The profit sharing system for coconut plantations in Tanjung Solok Village is not yet fully in accordance with Islamic law. Several provisions such as the time limit, type, and nature of the musaqah contract are often not clearly stated, which causes disputes in the distribution of results and does not comply with the requirements for the validity of the contract according to Islamic law.

Abstract

The Mandatory Halal October 2024 (WHO) Campaign is a strategic initiative implemented by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to accelerate Indonesia’s ambition to become a global halal center. This program supports the enforcement of mandatory halal certification regulations, covering food and beverage products, raw materials and additives, as well as slaughter products and services. Mendalo Indah Village, which hosts Jambi University, has approximately 19.5% of its population engaged in trading and entrepreneurial activities, particularly in the food and beverage sector, where halal certification remains limited. This community-based program aimed to improve awareness, readiness, and institutional support for halal certification among local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The program identified 25 MSMEs ready for halal certification and strengthened collaboration among government agencies, academic institutions, and business actors to support the implementation of the Mandatory Halal policy. Assistance in the Halal Product Process (PPH) was provided to facilitate applications for free halal certification in line with WHO targets. Key outputs included a Cooperation/License Agreement, enabling partners to sustainably utilize the program to support halal certification for food and beverage MSMEs. The initiative enhanced MSME empowerment and complemented previous support programs such as Business Identification Number (NIB) and Home Industry Food Permit (PIRT) facilitation, while local media publications supported broader dissemination of the WHO campaign.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Flash Sale promotions, Shopping Discount Vouchers, and Brand Image on the consumptive behavior of Generation X in Shopee e-commerce in Jambi City from the perspective of Islamic Economics. The research employs a quantitative method with the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents categorized as Generation X in Jambi City. The results show that all three variables have a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on consumptive behavior. Shopee’s digital marketing strategies effectively increase the consumptive tendencies of Generation X, who are generally known to be selective in shopping. From the Islamic Economics perspective, excessive consumptive behavior falls under israf (extravagance) and tabdzir (wastefulness), which contradict the principle of wasathiyah (moderation). Therefore, Muslim consumers should control their spending behavior by instilling the values of al-qana’ah (contentment) and al- iqtisad (simplicity), and direct their expenditures toward productive activities such as investment, saving, and ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of service quality and complaint handling on customer loyalty at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Kuala Tungkal. The research is motivated by the increasing level of competition in the banking industry, where these two variables are considered the main factors that distinguish one bank from another in maintaining customer loyalty. This study employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis with IBM SPSS version 25. The sample consisted of 100 respondents who are customers of BSI KCP Kuala Tungkal. The results show that service quality (t = 0.986 < 1.984) has no significant effect on customer loyalty, while complaint handling (t = 8.653 > 1.984) has a significant positive effect. Simultaneously, service quality and complaint handling together have a significant effect on customer loyalty (F = 62.017 > 1.984). Thus, fast, fair, and empathetic complaint handling becomes the dominant factor in building customer loyalty at BSI KCP Kuala Tungkal.
