Abstract

This activity is carried out to provide training in writing scientific articles worthy of publication in scientific journals. The method used is the lecture and question and answer method. From these activities, it was found that there were three weaknesses in writing scientific articles, namely: weaknesses in presenting research results in the form of scientific articles, grammatical problems, and not understanding paraphrasing techniques in writing. These three things can be overcome by frequent writing practices because writing requires practice not theory, increasing interest in reading scientific articles to be familiar with article models worthy of publication, and by itself will be accustomed to criticizing previous research findings.

Abstract

The lesson plan is one of the determining factors for the success of the learning implementation. Lesson plans are a major part of the microteaching practice cycle. However, in the practice of microteaching, lesson plans are not more important than the practice of basic teaching skills so that student-teacher is not skilled in preparing lesson plans. In preparing the lesson plans, observing, imitation, and modification strategies are used so that the research subjects can prepare lesson plans according to the components of the lesson plans that integrate 21st Century skills. This study is a one-group experimental study to determine the difference in average learning outcomes before and after using observing, imitation, and modification strategies. The results showed that the study subjects' learning outcomes after using the observing, imitation, and modification strategies were better than before using the observing, imitation, and modification strategies. This strategy is effectively used because it is able to increase the understanding and creativity of research subjects towards the preparation of lesson plans. In the practice of microteaching, the preparation of lesson plans needs to be a major concern before student teacher candidates practice basic teaching skills.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses kognitif dalam menulis artikel setelah diberikan pelatihan menulis artikel yang layak terbit dalam jurnal internasional terindeks database bereputasi. Metode pengabdian yaitu metode pelatihan. Peserta diberikan pelatihan menulis artikel dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi berupa pengukuran proses kognitif peserta workshop dalam menulis artikel. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa proses kognitif peserta dalam menulis artikel tergolong sangat baik dengan persentase 85.44%. Artinya, peserta dapat merencanakan tulisan, menulis, dan mengevaluasi tulisan hingga layak diterbitkan sesuai dengan template jurnal yang dituju. Sementara itu, sekitar 15% peserta masih memerlukan pendampingan intensif dalam menulis artikel. Pada tahap perencanaan, peserta menyediakan bahan-bahan tulisan yang sesuai dengan topik kajian, tetapi tidak berupaya membandingkan berbagai sumber yang sesuai dengan topik dan mengembangkan kerangka tulisan. Artinya, perencanaan yang dilakukan dalam menulis masih memerlukan perhatian oleh peserta workshop. Dalam hal mengembangkan gagasan pada tahap penerjemahan, peserta memahami dengan baik sistematika penulisan artikel tetapi tidak mampu menyajikan artikel yang memenuhi standar jurnal yang dituju dan rentan mengalami penolakan oleh jurnal tersebut. Kelemahan peserta pada umumnya terletak pada penyajian paragraf yang koheren. Paragraf yang tidak koheren mengakibatkan informasi yang disajikan sehubungan dengan topik tidak dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh pembaca. Hal ini juga disebabkan oleh peserta tidak melakukan proses peninjauan kembali secara maksimal.

Abstract

AbstractWoman’s language is a representation system reflecting woman’s views of the world. Such language can be found in oral and written texts, e.g.: novel. In the novel, female language containing certain ideology is identifiable through the interpretation of its vocabularies and grammar. Woman’s choice of words represents certain ideology and her views of life. In this writing, such ideology in woman’s vocabularies and grammar in the novel is studied using qualitative approach and content analysis method based on Fairclough’s theory developed by Santoso. Generally, woman’slanguage in the novel shows a modern and brave point of view of an Islamic boarding school woman to face every conflict in her life. The novel taught us that only knowledgeable and strongly virtuous woman that can withstand and defend her rights among the dominant and powerful people around her. It is shown in her use of words and choice of grammar.AbstrakBahasa perempuan adalah suatu sistem representasi yang mencerminkan cara pandang perempuan terhadap dunia, yang dapat muncul dalam teks lisan ataupun tulisan. Dalam teks tulisan, misalnya novel, bahasa perempuan yang mengandung ideologi tertentu dapat diidentifikasi dengan menafsirkan kosakata dan gramatikanya. Pilihan bahasa yang digunakan perempuan melambangkan ideologi tertentu dan cara pandangnya terhadap kehidupan di mana pun ia berada. Dengan menggunakanpendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi, ideologi yang terkandung dalam bahasa perempuan, khususnya di dalam novel, dikaji berdasarkan kosakata dan gramatika menggunakan teori Fairclough yang dikembangkan oleh Santoso. Secara umum, bahasa yang digunakan perempuan dalam novel Bidadari Bermata Bening menunjukkan cara pandang seorang perempuan lulusan pesantren yang berpikiran modern dan berani menghadapi setiap konflik dalam hidupnya. Novel ini mengajarkan bahwa hanya perempuan yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keyakinan agama yang kuatlah yang dapat mempertahankan dan memperjuangkan hak-haknyadi tengah dominasi dan kekuasaan orang-orang di sekitarnya. Caranya tampak dari penggunaan kosakata dan pemilihan gramatikanya.

AbstrakArtikel ini menjelaskan tentang produk pendidikan berupa modul pembelajaran menulis cerpen yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran jarak jauh di SMP. Modul pembelajaran ini disusun dengan harapan dapat mengurangi permasalahan-permasalahan pembelajaran yang dialami oleh siswa dan guru selama pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan RD yang bertujuan untuk menyusun produk pendidikan berupa modul pembelajaran. Setelah dilakukan validasi, evaluasi, dan revisi, modul pembelajaran ini dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan secara efektif dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Modul pembelajaran ini dirancang untuk menumbuhkan kemandirian siswa dalam belajar sehingga sangat tepat digunakan sebagai alat bantu serta memudahkan proses pembelajaran jarak jauh, khususnya untuk pembelajaran menulis cerpen.Kata Kunci: Modul Pembelajaran, Cerpen, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh AbstractThis article describes an educational product in the form of a short story writing learning module that can be used as a distance learning aid in junior high schools. This learning module is structured with the hope of reducing learning problems experienced by students and teachers during the implementation of distance learning. This research is an RD development research that aims to develop educational products in the form of learning modules. After validation, evaluation, and revision, this learning module is declared valid, practical, and effective so that it can be used in the learning process. Abstract

AbstractOne of the factors affecting the ability to understand poetry is reading interest. Reading interest is related to attention to reading, feelings during and after reading, and responses to reading content. This research was a quantitative study with a correlational method. This study was to explain how much the reading interest factor affects the ability to understand poetry. The results showed that the relationship between the two variables was significant but not too strong based on the range of correlation values. The reading interest factor only affects the ability to understand poetry by 13.1% and the remaining 86.9% is influenced by other factors. The reading interest factor in terms of attention to reading affects the ability to understand the physical structure of the poetry, while interest in terms of feelings and responses to reading affects the ability to understand the inner structure of the poetry.Keywords: the reading interest, learning, poetry AbstrakSalah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar memahami puisi adalah minat baca. Minat terhadap bacaan berhubungan dengan perhatian terhadap bacaan, perasaan saat dan setelah membaca, dan respon terhadap isi bacaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan seberapa besar faktor minat baca mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami puisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel signifikan tetapi tidak terlalu kuat dilihat berdasarkan rentangan nilai korelasinya. Faktor minat baca hanya mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami puisi sebesar 13,1% dan sisanya 86,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor yang lain. Faktor minat baca dari segi perhatian terhadap bacaan mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami stuktur fisik puisi sedangkan minat dari segi perasaan dan respon terhadap bacaan mempengaruhi kemampuan memahami struktur batin puisi.Kata kunci: minat baca, pembelajaran, puisi

Abstract

AbstractThe learning model used can be a determining factor for the success of learning in the classroom. One of the learning models used in learning to write narrative texts is the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model. This model combines reading and writing skills in an integrated manner so that it is assumed to influence learning outcomes to write narrative texts, especially imaginary story texts. This research was a quantitative study with a correlational method. This study aims to describe students' responses to the learning model and the influence of the learning model on writing narrative text skills. The results showed that the student response to the learning model was very good with a percentage of 83.64%. The relationship between the learning model variable and the narrative text writing variable is significant and very strong seen from the correlation value range, namely 0.781. The learning model factor affects the ability to write narrative text by 61% and the remaining 39% is influenced by other factors. Collaboration carried out in groups starting from reading alternately, looking for keywords, providing responses, and writing collaborative results has a good impact on the ability to retell the content of fantasy story texts according to the story elements both oral and written.Keywords: learning, narrative text, cooperative model, CIRC AbstrakModel pembelajaran yang digunakan dapat menjadi salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan pembelajaran di kelas. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks naratif adalah model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Model ini memadukan keterampilan membaca dan menulis secara terintegrasi sehingga diasumsikan memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar menulis teks naratif, khususnya teks cerita imajinasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran dan pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap keterampilan menulis teks naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran sangat baik dengan persentase 83,64%. Hubungan antara variabel model pembelajaran dengan variabel penulisan teks naratif adalah signifikan dan sangat kuat dilihat dari rentang nilai korelasinya yaitu 0,781. Faktor model pembelajaran mempengaruhi kemampuan menulis teks naratif sebesar 61% dan sisanya 39% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kolaborasi yang dilakukan dalam kelompok mulai dari membaca secara bergantian, mencari kata kunci, memberikan tanggapan, dan menulis hasil kolaboratif berdampak baik pada kemampuan menceritakan kembali isi teks cerita fantasi sesuai dengan unsur-unsur cerita baik lisan maupun tulisan.Kata-kata kunci: pembelajaran, teks naratif, model kooperatif, CIRC

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the structure of the novel and the inner conflict experienced Zahrana figures. Zahrana is a girl educated, intelligent, and achieving a dilemma when faced with the choice of pursuing goals, career, and marriage. Zahrana experienced inner conflict arises when there is a difference in her desire that want to continue education with the wishes of parents who want to get married. Her parents worried about her son would be called an old maid because never married. This concern stems from the view of society that a woman's primary duty is to be a mother to her children. Readers can reap the lessons of this novel with the existence of a series of character and his life journey.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan seberapa besar pengaruh modul pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen bagi peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi Covid-19. Sebanyak 32 orang peserta didik dipilih secara acak untuk mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan modul pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan rancangan korelasional diselidiki seberapa besar pengaruh modul pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan menulis cerpen. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dapat menggunakan modul dengan baik dan mendapat kemudahan dalam penggunaan dan sesuai dengan waktu yang diperlukan dengan persentase 77,24%. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel signifikan dan cukup kuat dilihat berdasarkan rentangan nilai korelasinya, yaitu: 0,569. Modul pembelajaran memengaruhi kemampuan menulis cerpen sebesar 32,4%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran efektif digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran jarak jauh. Modul pembelajaran membentuk kemandirian peserta didik dalam pembelajaran karena pembelajaran jarak jauh membuat peserta didik terpisah jarak dan waktu dengan pendidik dan peserta didik lainnya.Kata-kata kunci: pembelajaran jarak jauh, modul pembelajaran, covid-19 AbstractThis study aims to describe how much influence the learning module has on the ability to write short stories for students who take distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 32 students were randomly selected to take part in learning using the learning module. By using a correlational design, it was investigated how much influence the learning module had on the ability to write short stories. The results of the descriptive analysis show that students can use the module well and find it easy to use and in accordance with the time required with a percentage of 77.24%. The results of the correlation test show that the relationship between the two variables is significant and strong enough to be seen based on the range of correlation values, namely: 0.569. The learning module affects the ability to write short stories with 32.4%. This shows that the learning module is effectively used to support distance learning. The learning module forms the independence of students in learning because distance learning makes students separate in distance and time from educators and other students.Keywords: distance learning, learning module, covid-19
