Abstract

Rice productivity plays a crucial role in global food security, particularly in Indonesia. However, climate change has become one of the biggest challenges faced by various sectors of life, especially agricultural commodities. Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) integrates climate change adaptation and mitigation as well as increasing agricultural productivity through environmentally friendly practices. This study aims to examine the comparison of rice farming productivity between CSA and conventional systems in Kemangkon District, Purbalingga, with a sample size of 48 rice farmers using the CSA system and 48 conventional rice farmers, analyzed using the Independent T-Test method. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in rice productivity between farmers who have used the CSA system compared to conventional systems. The average rice productivity of farmers using CSA technology was 71,07 kw/ha, while rice productivity for farmers using conventional technology was 62,42 kw/ha. Therefore, various comprehensive policies are needed to increase the adoption of CSA technology at the farmer level, such as developing comprehensive training programs on CSA technology and establishing demonstration plots (demplot).

Abstract

Maize has a fairly large level of need in Indonesia, namely 41% for food, 28% for feed, and 31% for other needs, such as seeds and scattered seeds. Sumbang Sub-District as a maize production center contributing 23.09 percent of the total harvested area in Banyumas Regency has a productivity level that is apparently lower than national productivity. Allocation of optimal production inputs can provide maximum productivity as well, which can increase profits for farmers. This study aims to determine the factors that affect corn production and the most optimal level of use of production inputs in corn farming in the corn production center area in Banyumas Regency. The site selection was carried out purposively in Sumbang District as the center of corn production in Banyumas Regency using the sampling method, namely nonpropotional quota sampling with a sample of 50 corn farmer respondents. The data analysis method used in this study is to use the Cobb-douglass frontier stochastic production function to determine the production factors that affect corn production, namely land area, seeds, labor, organic fertilizers, urea fertilizers, phonska fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. This study provides results that production inputs that have a real influence on corn production in the production center of Banyumas Regency are land area, seeds, organic fertilizers, urea fertilizers and pesticides with the achievement of possible optimization, namely increasing the use of land area, seeds, labor, organic fertilizers and herbicides accompanied by the use of optimal production inputs according to the dosage recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Abstract

The research aimed to: (1) identify the social entrepreneurship cooperation model of CV Agro Berdikari, which is applied to palm sugar craftsmen. (2) Analyzing the factors that influence the satisfaction of palm sugar craftsmen towards the social entrepreneurship cooperation model at CV Agro Berdikari. (3) Analyzing the factors that influence the loyalty of palm sugar craftsmen towards the social entrepreneurship cooperation model at CV Agro Berdikari. (4) Analyzing the influence of palm sugar craftsmen's satisfaction on loyalty to CV Agro Berdikari. The research method used was qualitative and quantitative, using a survey method. The sample calculation used the proportional stratified random sampling method with 60 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used is descriptive and PLS-SEM. The results of the research indicate that: (1) The social entrepreneurship model applied by CV Agro Berdikari to the mentored craftsmen is in the form of programs that provide economic and social benefits. (2) Factors that influence the satisfaction of palm sugar craftsmen towards the social entrepreneurship model at CV Agro Berdikari are service quality, convenience, selling price, social support, and social business assistance. (3) Factors that influence the loyalty of palm sugar craftsmen towards the social entrepreneurship model at CV Agro Berdikari are service quality, social support, and social business assistance, while convenience and selling price do not have a positive and significant effect on loyalty. (4) The effect of palm sugar craftsman satisfaction on loyalty to CV Agro Berdikari is not positive and not significant.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education and assistance in making eco-enzymes, one of the benefits of which is as an organic fertilizer. This is based on one of the active women's farmer groups in Banyumas, namely KWT Tunas Mandiri, regarding the problem experienced, namely the still low utilization of waste around KWT Tunas Mandiri. Participants in this community service activity were 15 members of KWT Tunas Mandiri and the activity was carried out in June 2025. The method applied in this community service activity is service learning which includes five stages of community service activities from preparation to evaluation. The initial stage is conducting a problem survey, then continued to prepare appropriate solutions and continued with education through socialization and counseling until it ends with direct practice activities for making eco-enzymes. Based on the results of community service activities, there has been an increase in knowledge and skills about making eco-enzymes for KWT Tunas Mandiri. The participants of the community service activity have also been able to practice making them independently at their respective homes. This is also proven by an increase in knowledge from the results of the pre-test and post-test which increased by 20%.ABSTRAKTujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan pendampingan pembuatan eco-enzyme yang memiliki manfaat salah satunya sebagai pupuk organik. Hal ini didasarkan pada salah satu kelompok wanita tani yang aktif di Banyumas adalah KWT Tunas Mandiri mengenai permasalahan yang dialami yaitu masih rendahnya pemanfaatan sampah yang ada di sekitar KWT Tunas Mandiri. Peserta kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah anggota KWT Tunas Mandiri sejumlah 13 orang dan pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan pada Bulan Juni Tahun 2025. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah service learning yang meliputi lima tahapan kegiatan pengabdian dari persiapan hingga evaluasi. Tahapan awal adalah melakukan survey permasalahan kemudian dilanjutkan menyiapkan solusi yang tepat dan dilanjutkan dengan edukasi dengan cara sosialisasi dan penyuluhan hingga diakhiri dengan kegiatan praktik langsung pembuatan eco enzyme. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pembuatan eco enzyme bagi KWT Tunas Mandiri. Para peserta kegiatan pengabdian juga sudah bisa melakukan praktik pembuatan secara mandiri di rumah masing-masing. Hal ini juga terbukti bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang mengalami kenaikan sebesar 20%.
