Abstract

The background of this research is that learning mathematics is often cobsidered a difficult subject for students, so that this results in students being lazy to learn mathematics. The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe local wisdom in learning mathematics to form siews character at SMPN 3 Kuripan. This study used the library research method, namely the library method which was carried out to collect data related to previous research, while it was carried out by taking samples of learning practices at schools where the researcher became a mathematics teacher at SMPN 3 Koripan. Based on the results of the study, there were several mathematical concepts that based on local wisdom which includes the traditional bangman form of the Saxak tribe, the Sak kingdom, and Sasak pocket arts. Abstract

This research is important to carry out the learning achievements (CPL) of the mandatory physics education study program in developing 21st century skills, especially science process skills (KPS). Apart from that, the practicum function which is still valid today in the FKIP UMMAT physics education study program has not been able to train KPS students well because the design of practicum activities has not been based on science processes and problem based learning (PBL), causing KPS students to not be able to improve. This research will produce an innovative practicum learning method to improve KPS in a concrete and structured manner. The aim of this research is to design a practical program for the Vibration concept which is outlined in the form of a practical activity sheet (LKPR) and a KPS assessment instrument with the target of improving the science process skills (KPS) of physics education students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) through the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) process which begins with analyzing problems, needs and solutions; designing LKPR and assessment instruments, then validating and testing on a small scale and evaluating the product for further revision and implementation. The KPS pretest and posttest quantitative data were analyzed using inferential statistics and the normalized gain test to determine the KPS improvement category. Data analysis using the help of Ms. software. Excel and IBM SPSS v.23. It was concluded that the practicum design had the characteristics of applying a problem-based model, oriented towards laboratory investigation activities, using traditional musical instruments and computer-smartphone technology devices through three phases and six stages. The practicum program has had a significant impact in increasing student KPS which shows a significant increase in all aspects of KPS. Students give positive responses to the practicum program because it can practice science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) model integrated with Rumah Lengge ethnoscience on elementary school students’ logical thinking skills. The background of this research is rooted in the low level of students’ logical reasoning abilities, which are still dominated by conventional teaching methods that lack contextual relevance and fail to stimulate scientific reasoning. This quantitative study employed a one-group pretest-posttest design involving one experimental class of 25 fifth-grade students in Wawo District, Bima Regency. The research instrument consisted of a logical thinking skills test based on Ennis' (1996) indicators, comprising 10 multiple-choice items with reasoning. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test to examine significant differences between pretest and posttest scores. The results indicated a notable increase in the average score from 61.7 to 71.6, with a statistically significant difference (t = -28.4; p < 0.001). The normality test on the residuals confirmed that the data met the requirements for parametric analysis. These findings demonstrate that the IBL model based on Rumah Lengge ethnoscience is effective in enhancing students’ logical thinking skills by integrating scientific inquiry processes with relevant and meaningful local cultural contexts. The implication of this study suggests that locally contextualized inquiry-based approaches can serve as a strategic alternative to improve the quality of science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam kurikulum Merdeka guru diberi kebebasan dalam memilih perangkat ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan minat peserta didik. Guru tidak lagi terikat pada satu metode atau sumber ajar tertentu, melainkan dapat memanfaatkan berbagai sumber daya dan metode yang ada untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih kaya dan relevan bagi setiap siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan guru dalam merancang media aja yang lebih adaptif sesuai konteks pembelajaran. Metode  yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi dan praktik. Adapun mitra sasaran yaitu guru-guru di TK IT Arrahman dengan jumlah peserta terdiri atas 15 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa materi yang disampaikan, respon dan hubungan antara materi dengan kebutuhan peserta di apresiasi dengan kategori Sangat Baik oleh peserta. Kata kunci: scratch; canva; media ajar AbstractIn the Merdeka curriculum, teachers are given the freedom to choose teaching tools that suit the needs and interests of students. Teachers are no longer tied to one particular method or teaching resource but can utilize various existing resources and methods to create a richer and more relevant learning experience for each student. This community service activity aims to develop teacher skills in designing more adaptive learning media according to the learning context. The methods used in this community service activity are lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and practices. The target partners are teachers at TK IT Arrahman with a total of 15 participants. The results of the activity showed that the material presented, responses, and the relationship between the material and the needs of the participants were appreciated in the Very Good category by the participants. Keywords: scratch; canva; teaching media

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran melalui memberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz dan pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran berbantuan AI (Artificial Intelligence) Chat GPT. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah dengan menggunakan metode pelaksanaan antara lain: 1) Tahap observasi, pada tahap ini dilakukan survey lokasi, survey masalah yang dialami sekolah, dan pendataan guru yang akan diikut sertakan, 2) Tahap Pra Pelatihan, pada tahap ini guru diberikan penyuluhan terkait aplikasi yang digunakan dan cara membuat akunnya, 3) Tahap Pelatihan, pada tahap ini guru diberikan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berupa Quizizz dengan menggunakan AI (Artificial Intelligence) 4) Tahap Diskusi, pada tahap ini tim pengabdian dan guru saling berdiskusi terkait kesulitan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran, 5) Tahap Evaluasi, tim pengabdian memeriksa hasil media pembelajaran berupa yang sudah dibuat oleh guru. Hasil yang ingin dicapai dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: 1) menambah wawasan dan keterampilan pembuatan media pembelajaran  kepada guru-guru SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, 2) Media pembelajaran quizyz dengan  menggunakan AI (Artificial Intelligence) yang menjadi bank media pembelajaran bagi guru-guru, 3) Pembuatan Perangkat pembelajaran dengan bantuan chatGPT. Kegiatan pengabdian berjalan dengan sukses dengan indikator kehadiran guru dalam kegiatan selama 2 hari adalah 100%, tingkat partisipasi dalam diskusi dan pertanyaan 97%, pemahaman guru dalam penggunaan aplikasi quizyz dan chat GPT sebesar 81%. Kata kunci: artificial inteligence; chat GPT; quizizz Abstract This community service activity aims to improve teachers' skills in creating learning media by providing training on creating learning media using the Quizizz application and creating AI (Artificial Intelligence) Chat GPT-assisted learning tools. This community service was carried out at SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah using the following implementation methods: 1) Observation stage, in which a location survey, a survey of problems experienced by the school, and data collection on teachers to be included were conducted, 2) Pre-training stage, in which teachers were given guidance on the applications used and how to create accounts, 3) Training stage, in which teachers were given training on creating learning media in the form of Quizizz using AI (Artificial Intelligence) 4) Discussion stage, in which the community service team and teachers discussed the difficulties in creating learning media, 5) Evaluation stage, in which the community service team examined the learning media created by the teachers. The desired outcomes of this community service program are: 1) to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers at SD Negeri 1 Terong Tawah in creating learning media for use in teaching, 2) to create Quizizz learning media using AI (Artificial Intelligence) as a learning media bank for teachers, 3) to create learning tools with the help of ChatGPT. The community service activity was successful, with indicators showing 100% teacher attendance over the two-day activity, 97% participation in discussions and questions, and 81% teacher understanding in the use of the Quizy and ChatGPT applications. Keywords: artificial inteligence; chat GPT; quizizz.
