Abstract

This study aims to determine the productivity of skipjack fish in the waters of Ternate Island. Optimum efforts that produce maximum catch and still maintain stock biomass in equilibrium conditions. Fishing activities are activities carried out to get several catches, to meet demand as a source of food. The demand causes an economic cycle where profits and losses will occur so that fishing activities will be carried out by increasing fish production to achieve maximum profits by fishing businesses. Production and effort data obtained from the Ternate Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN) and related agencies in the past 5 years (2012-2016) experienced fluctuations. Catches per unit of capture effort (CPUE), reflecting the comparison between the catch and the effort spent. The catch in principle is the output of the fishing activity, while the effort that is needed in principle is input from the fishing activity. CPUE calculations must be standardized for fishing gear first because based on production data there is more than one fishing gear commonly used to catch skipjack fish. It can be seen that in 2013 and 2014 the level of utilization of skipjack fish resources was in the optimal utilization category because the range of skipjack fish production was between 74% to 82%, whereas in 2012 and 2016 the use of skipjack fish in a year was 65% smaller so it was categorized underexploited and in 2015 the level of utilization of skipjack fish resources has experienced overfishing because it has passed the maximum limit that has been set which is 4,252,461.31 tons/year.

Abstract

The study was conducted during March-May 2017 in the Coastal Waters of Ternate Island of North Maluku Province with the aim to study the relationship between the concentration of chlorophyll-a and the catch of Hemiramphus sp and its potential fishing area. Using experimental fishing method and non-linear regeneration analysis and GIS analysis. The result of this research shows that oceanographic factor that is chlorophyll-a concentration has significant effect on the catch of julung fish with correlation coefficient value of 0.729, with potential catch area located at three locations ie at coastal of Ngade to Kalumata on location 00o45'00"N - 127o21'03"E to 00o45'28.924"N - 127o22'08.893"E, coastal Keluarah Fitu at the location 00o44'39.490"N -127o19'51.083"E to 00o45'09.150"N - 127o20'52.263"E, and on the coast of Kelurahan Rua on location 00o45'51.169"N - 127o17'25.857"E to 00o46'42.457"N - 127o17'45.633"E.

Abstract

The purpose of carrying out this community service is to provide information and understanding to the community in the Dowora Village, East Tidore District about vannamei shrimp farming using the biofloc method. The community service was carried out in August 2022, at the Office of the Office of Food Security, City of Tidore Islands. The counseling method is carried out in the form of lectures, discussions and questions and answers. Materials from this counseling include management of vannamei shrimp cultivation; feed management; water use and water quality parameters; vannamei shrimp farming with the biofloc system, and introduction to the types of ponds that can be used for vannamei shrimp farming activities with the biofloc system. During the extension activities, the community of prospective vannamei shrimp cultivators was very active in asking questions and discussing the material provided. The conclusion that can be drawn from this PKM activity is that the community is able to understand the material presented about vannamei shrimp farming using the biofloc method, the material presented is acceptable and then pond repairs will be carried out in preparation for cultivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the organoleptic quality and calcium content of canned tuna porridge with fortification of tuna bone meal at different concentrations and determine the appropriate tuna bone meal concentration formula as a fortification agent in canned tuna fish porridge. This research is a type of empirical research conducted in the Lab. Processing of Fishery Products and continued with the process of testing the calcium content of the product in the Lab. PT. Angler BioChambLab. The results of the organoleptic quality analysis of canned tuna porridge showed that the fortification of tuna bone meal had a significant effect with the calculated F value and P-value/significance of each texture 19.17, 0.0025., color 262.181, 0.000., odor 23.147, 0.002 and taste. 243,000, 0.000. while the results of the calcium test showed that the fortification of tuna bone meal could increase the calcium content with the value of each treatment being 102 mg/kg for the control treatment, 869 for the A1 treatment (3%) and 1,621 mg/kg for the A2 treatment (6%). ). For the best product, the results of the analysis using the Bayes method, it was found that the A1 treatment was the best treatment, this was supported by the calcium value that was still good for the daily requirement of 1000 mg/kg.

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the selectivity of gill net fishing gear operated by fishermen on Maitara Island, analyze population conditions, sustainable potential and appropriate size for catching lencam fish as well as the appropriate mesh size in the exploitation of lencam fish in the waters of Maitara Island so that its management can be sustainable. The use of experimental fishing methods with data analysis in the form of selectivity of fishing gear, population parameters, determination of suitable catch sizes and determination of mesh size. The results of the study showed that the fishing gear operating in Maitaran Island waters has a mesh size of 2.5 inches where the gill net fishing gear is classified as non-selective because it generally catches lencam fish that have not yet spawned, which is smaller than 41.4 cmFL and the small size of the mesh size affects the parameters. lencam fish population in the waters of Maitara Island with fishing mortality higher than natural mortality and the level of exploitation has entered the over fishing category.

Abstract

This research was carried out during November - December 2020 on the KM ship. Woka Ruju 01 as many as 35 trips, with the aim of estimating and analyzing the effect of the speed of looping and pulling the rope on the number of fish catches. The use of experimental fishing methods and data analysis using multiple linear regression are expected to answer the research objectives. The results of the research that the results of the study were obtained that together the second factor or variable looping time and pulling the corrugated rope had a significant effect on the catch of small pelagic fish with an Fcount value of 9.908 and a significance value of 0.007 less than 0.05, with the regression model formed. is Y = 3.410 – 2.181X1 + 0.016X2, while individually using the exponential regression equation it is found that only the looping time of the purse seine fishing gear has a significant effect on the catch of small pelagic fish with a correlation coefficient of -0.842 and a t-test value of -4.423 and significance value 0.02 is smaller than 0.05.

Abstract

Bubu adalah perangkap yang mempunyai umwnnya dikenal dikalangan ne/ayan perairan tersebut. Bubu termasukjenis a/at tangkap yang sifatnya pasif atau menetap di dasar perairan yang bertujuan untuk menangkap ikan-ikan demersal. Peneltian bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah dan komposisi jenis hasil tangkapan bubu dasar dari beberapa perlakuan pemberian umpan organik dan anorganik yang digunakan dalam penangkapan ikan demersal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan setiap jenis umpan berdistribusinormal dengan uji t-student, umpan A dengan B berbeda nyata (1, 77), A dengan C berbeda sangat nyata (3, 05), A dengan D berbeda sangat nyata (3,63), B dengan C tidak berbeda nyata (0,80), B dengan D tidak berbeda nyata (1,62), C dengan D tidak berbeda nyata(l.90), sedangkan komposisi jenis hasil tangkapan yaitu umpan pecahan piring keramik putib tertinggi adalah ikan kakatua (19.11%), dan terendah ikan ekor laming (1,33%, umpan usus ayam kampung tertinggi adalah ikan biji nangka (17,800A,), terendah ikan jambian (1,05%) dan ikan tembang tertinggi adalah ikan biji nagka (22,56%), terendah ikan jambian (1,22%) serta tanpa umpan (control) tertinggi adalah ikan biji nangka (26,51%) dan terendah adalah ikan tiga waja, ikan buntel dan ikan lingkis (2, 41 %). Perbandingan hasil tangkapan dengan a/at bubu dasar pada setiap jenis umpan dengan hasil tangkapan tertinggi pada umpan pecahan piring keramik putih (58,24 kg). menyusul umpan usus ayam kampung (48,27kg), umpan ikan tembang (44, 17 kg) dan hasil tangkapan terkecil yaitu tanpa umpan (control) (38, 73 kg)

Abstract

Budidaya udang windu merupakan alternatif yang tepat meski dikembangkan dengan sistem pemberdayaan masyarokat pedesaan pesisir dan pulau-pulau kecil di Maluku Utara, pengembangan budidaya dengan menerapkan tiga ha/ utama yaitu ; optimalisasi sumber daya a/am, kelestarian lingkungan, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat Daerah obi merupokan salah satu daeroh pengembangan usaha budidaya karena mempunyai daya dukung daerah yang sangat baik, dengan penggunaan teknik pengembangan usaha budidaya udang air payau ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan, bagi pemerintah, masyarakat dalam pengembangan usaha budidaya udang windu di daeroh tersebut.
