Abstract

This research is to explain about Pedagogic Competence of Art and Culture Teacher in SMAN 3 Kota Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive analytical approach. The location ofthis research is in SMAN 3 Kota Pariaman, in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Technique of collecting research data is using instrument of interview and observation. Based on result of the research that has been done can be concluded that the pedagogic competence of art and culture teacher in SMAN 3 Pariaman City is classified as "Good", It means that Art Culture Teacher in SMAN 3 Pariaman City has been able to do strategy or good learning method in accordance with the component of pedagogic competence in understanding the characteristics Learners, master theories of learning, develop curriculum/syllabus, organize educational learning, develop the potential of learners, and can evaluate the learners' learning outcomes. Keywords: descriptive study, pedagogic competence, art and culture teacher.

Abstract

Abstract The research was conducted with the aim to describe the results of analysis of the structure of a musical track in District Rantau Rampi Rampo Pandan Muara Bungo regency in Jambi Province. This research was content analysis (content analysis) approach descriptive method of analysis, the research found is rhythm (melodic and rhythmic) repetitive, harmony and melody minor chord progress (IV), kadens perfect, phrase antecedents, consistent and song form Rampi Rampo is a form1 (A-A1), tone motif m, n, o, p, a, b, c, b1, d, e, the expression in the form of songs and rhytme advices young couple.

Abstract

Abstract The music arragement of the Langkisau song for school music ensembles was inspired by (1) the Langkisau song as one of Minang phenomenal pop songs, that tells about people's habit on the hill of Langkisau (Minang people) who like to wander. (2) It demands the students to be able to play the Langkisau song music arrangement in form of a school music ensemble. (3) This arrangements combines traditional musical instruments with western musical instruments which available at school. Kata kunci : Aransemen, Lagu Langkisau, Ensembel, Musik Sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract Music Composition "The Dream" is a music composition that the making is departed from an imagination laid out with the kind of Chamber Music by presenting new colorsin the composition of the creation, which form a complete work of music. This type of art work bases the music groove on the conventional true events and emphasizes the supportive atmosphere in the composition. The Dream musical composition consists of 4 main forms using tempo Grave, Adante, moderatoassai, and moderato, which can describe the atmosphere tha tis present in a dream. The dream thatcomes up is intrepeted by the autho as an outline view of reality that appears to the mind of a writer like remorse, emotion, uncertainty, sincerity and dreams. The presentation of music composition "The Dream" puts some basic instruments and supporting instruments with piano as the main melody, group of strings (Violin, Viola, Cello), saluang sirompak, saluang darek, and keyboard as accompainement in music composition encapsulated by the author in the concept of this show.   Kata kunci: Komposisi, Musik, Fantasy of The dream

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to reveal and explain the correction between the students learning achievement in Solfegio subject and their learning achievement in Vocal class at Sendratasik department of Faculty Language and Art in State University of Padang (FBS-UNP). This was a quantitative research which applied correlation method. Based on the result of coefficient test, it was figured out that the value of r xy was 0,222 on the degree of freedom α 0,05 and the reliability level 95% for which the value of r table was 0,329. After statistic inferential test was done, it was found that the value of r calculated was smaller than r table indicating that the was a low an insignificant correlation the students learning achievement in Solfegio subject and their learning achievement in Vocal class. Hence, Ha was rejected and Ho was accepted. Keyword: Correlation, Learning achievement, Solfegio, Vocal.

Abstract

Abstrack Type a descriptive study which describe the students' perceptions of learning the art of traditional music at SMP 27 Padang. The samples used were 44 students. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded: 1) Understanding Student Learning Against Traditional Music in SMP 27 Padang categorized Good that where 38 people (87.11%) respondents stated always (SL) and Frequently (SR), 2) students' reactions to learning traditional music at SMP 27 Good Enough categorized Padang where 35 people (77.96%) respondents stated always (SL) and Frequently (SR), 3) Acceptance of students towards learning the art of traditional music at SMP 27 Padang, where 32 are categorized Good Enough people (73.24%) respondents stated always (SL) and Frequently (SR). Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at describing the presentation of Ronggeng in Maantaan Kambiang of Traditional Ceremony of Turun Mandi in Muaro Kiawai Kecamatan Gunuang Tuleh Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Ronggeng wich was presented in the ceremony had supporting element which were the players, musical instruments, song, customs, time and place of the show, and audiences. In the procession of Maantaan Kambiang, Ronggeng presented was in the form of musical show that consisted of some musical instruments to accompany the Ronggeng songs. Abstract

Abstrak   The purpose of this research was to describe the use of solfegio in drum band  extracurricular  activities  at  SMP  N  8  Padang.  The  activities  covered praticing  rhythm and melody through audio-visual. This was a qualitative research which applied descriptive analysis method. The object of the research was the use of solfegio in drum band extracurricular activities  at  SMP N 8  Padang.  The date were  collected  through  observation, documentation, and library study. The result of the research revealed that, after the students were trained to listen to the rhythm and melody (audio) and read the rhythm and melody (visual): (1) the  students’  knowledge and concept about music increased, (2) the students’ ability to read rhythm notation and melody increased, (3) the students’ skill to use rhythm notation and melody on musical instrument they could play increased, (4) the student’ skill to play music together in presenting the song got better, and (5) the students’ were more excited and self-confident to take part in drum band extracurricular activities.   Keyword: Use, Solfegio, Drum band

Abstract

This study aims to discover and describe about how to increase student motivation through the use of audiovisual media in particular subjects Culture Art Art Traditional Music archipelago. This research is descriptive qualitative approach. Collecting data in the field is done by literature study, observations, and interviews to students free of SMP Negeri 4 Padang. Data were collected from two sources, namely data from the literature and from the field, the real situation of learning the art of traditional music in class Nusantara VIII SMP Negeri 4 Padang. The results stated that before the Cultural Arts subject teachers using audiovisual media as a tool in the learning process, the students did not show any motivation in learning art. This is evident from the relatively low participation during the learning process. Many students are not concentrating and not 'care' in the subject described by their teachers, and even many of those who make "noise" during school hours. After the Cultural Arts subject teachers use audio-visual media as a tool for learning, student motivation in SMP Negeri 4 Padang on particular subjects Culture Art Art Traditional Music archipelago begins to increase is evident and visible from the questionnaires and interviews. Abstract

 This research is intended to analyze “Bunda” song written by Melly   Goeslaw in   terms of song structure and melody composition. This research is categorized into qualitative study conducted by applying content analysis approach. The theories used to analize the data were those related to melody structures, melody composition, and song forms. The data were obtained through documentation study, library study, and lab work. The results of the research reveal that “Bunda” song has combination of strong and faint taps and uses stepping and jumping style. It has 90 tempo with 4/4 cadence. The musical cord used is major and the dominant interval is seconded. This song has 12 ranges of musical notes. The formulation of the melody is the combination of rising, flattening, and lessening melodies. The progressing accords  applied  were  not  only the  basic  accords  but  also  the connecting ones that could bridge the move from the basic accord. This  movement  makes  the  song  flow  and  sway  smoothly. “Bunda” song has 2 basic motives, 15 developed motives, 4 antecedent phrases, and 5 consequent phrases. The song has two forms; A and B. The melody and the lyrics are dominantly in the form of syllabic. This  song is  classified into  Logogenic (text- focused). The song comprises of several major accords, namely tonica, supertonica, subdominant, sub-median, and connecting accords (median and dominant). “Bunda” song has two cadences including the Perfect Authentic Cadence and The Authentic Half Cadence. Although the song has melismatic and neumatic forms, it is dominated by syllabic form. Key word: Analysis, Song Structures, “Bunda” Song.
