Abstract

Poverty is a classic topic of discussion but interesting because the problem of poverty has not been resolved. This study analyzes the role of the human development index, GRDP and unemployment on the poverty rate in the Districts/Cities of Aceh Province. Using the panel data analysis method with time series for 2018-2022 and cross sections of 23 districts/cities in Aceh province. The results showed that GRDP and unemployment had a positive effect on the poverty rate, but the HDI had no effect on the poverty rate. Thus, it can be said that the government must strive to reduce inter-regional disparities, support labour-intensive, targeted, and direct investments in the real sector, and involve all stakeholders.

Abstract

Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) is a bank performance ratio used to measure the adequacy of capital owned by the bank in order to support assets that contain or generate risk. The greater the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), the better the bank's ability to meet capital needs. The greater the capital owned by the bank, the bank is able to provide loans to customers in large amounts so that it has the opportunity to increase the company's profitability. Profitability assessment is a process to determine how well business activities are carried out to achieve strategic goals, eliminate waste and present timely information to carry out continuous improvement (1). This study aims to be one of the indicators of how an important event in a country, especially in the socio-political field, can affect the country's economic turnover and stock exchange. Especially for the big four ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand), the case of increasing stock prices in the banking sector is in the spotlight and it is necessary to conduct a scientific study on the correlation of General Election events in the big four ASEAN countries with the increase in their country's stock market. This type of research is associative research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables, namely examining the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Operating Costs to Operating Income (BOPO) which are linked to the Profitability of banking sector companies during the general election period in the big four ASEAN countries. This study will use ratio analysis to determine the performance of a bank and its health. With the results of LDR does not have a positive and significant effect on the profitability of banking companies. CAR has a positive and significant effect on the Profitability of Banking Companies. BOPO has a negative and insignificant effect on the Profitability of Banking Companies.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of Work Life Balance and Hybrid Working System on the productivity of employees in the Marketing Division at PT. PIM. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a causal-comparative method. The entire population consists of employees in the Marketing Division, with samples selected using purposive sampling based on at least one year of work experience and prior participation in a hybrid working system. Data analysis employs the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method, considered suitable for assessing relationships among latent variables and indicators in cases of non-normal data and relatively small sample sizes. The results indicate that Work Life Balance has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity; in other words, the better the work life balance experienced by employees, the higher their productivity. In addition, the Hybrid Working System also shows a positive and significant effect on productivity. An optimally implemented hybrid system provides flexibility in managing work time and location, thereby increasing motivation, reducing fatigue, and driving employee productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of mentoring management, productive financing, and Islamic financial inclusion on the welfare of sustainable halal MSMEs in Lhokseumawe City. The research approach uses a descriptive quantitative method, where primary data is collected through distributing questionnaires to halal MSMEs selected using a purposive sampling technique. Descriptive data analysis methods are carried out using multiple linear regression to determine the partial and overall effects between variables and their relationships. The findings of this study are expected to show that effective management mentoring, easy access to productive financing, as well as financial inclusion and participation in Islamic finance contribute positively to improving the welfare of halal MSMEs in Lhokseumawe City. The original value of this study lies in the analysis of the integration of three key factors of Islamic economic empowerment in one empirical model that has not been widely carried out in local contexts such as Lhokseumawe. In addition, the results of this study provide practical implications for strengthening regional policies, Islamic financial institutions, and mentoring institutions in designing appropriate and value-based interventions to support the sustainability of halal MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that partially, the variables of productive financing and Islamic financial inclusion significantly influence the welfare of halal MSMEs in Lhokseumawe City, while mentoring management does not show a significant effect, although the direction of the influence is positive. However, simultaneously, the third variable significantly influences the welfare of halal MSMEs, with a contribution of 64.1% (Adjusted R² = 0.641). This study offers theoretical and practical contributions by integrating three elements of Islamic economic empowerment within a comprehensive conceptual framework. These findings reinforce the importance of a holistic, sharia-based approach in efforts to improve the economic welfare of marginalized communities. The implications of this study encourage Islamic financial institutions to not only focus on the financing aspect, but also strengthen their educational and social functions through mentoring and improving financial literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the impact of Conventional Financing and Green Financing on corporate capital structure, measured by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), for firms in Aceh Province. Employing a quantitative comparative method on corporate financial statement data spanning the 2021-2024 period, the research found that the limited access to green financing and the smaller scale of green-funded projects in Aceh suggest constraints in the green market. Nevertheless, a comparative analysis reveals a significant difference between the influence of conventional financing and green financing on the capital structure in Aceh Province. Empirically, Green Financing positively impacts the strengthening of the firm's capital structure, positioning it as a strategic alternative toward sustainable economic development in Aceh. This conclusion underscores the critical role of Green Financing as a unique strategic financial determinant, providing practical implications for corporate management in Aceh to integrate sustainability aspects into funding decisions to achieve long-term capital structure optimization.
