Abstract

The development of infomation technology today is the need of institution or organizahon. This development also affects library. One of the usages of information technology used in library is to support communications by library-website. Website can provide more· information such as multimedia· .service, e-mail, promotion site and interactive communication. Frisco public libra,y is a public library established by Frisco society and bulletin baard in Frisco S website functions to deliver messeges. Fiturs used are (1) MLK multimedia exhibit (2) Upcoming event, (3) Read to over, (4) Homework Help and (5) e-mail tutorial. The-bulletin board of Frisco :S public library is interesting because it has becautiful choice of color, appropriate choice of pictures which are related to the theme and detail and informative information, i-life concept which makes it easy for the users to access information anytime, anywhere.

Abstract

Record management of news magazine on traffic library on Metro TV is to handle audiovisual collections. Titis activity was started since audiovisual media was accepted in production ( master on air ) which is placed in storage ( traffic library), then it is ready to be reused by those who broadcast it. The record management of news magazine audiovisual collection traffic library Metro TV is good. The classification system on storage is made based on the needs of the institution to simplify the information retrieval. To support that, traffic library uses automatic system which can be accessed ( intranet). Anyhow, it is found the inappropriate storage capacity and the problem with vims. For that reason anticipation is needed by having new additional features such as statistic data and blocking the overlim.it users.

Abstract

Baitul Hikmah Library had been the peak of the advancement of knowledge for 508 year. It was the center of academy, translating, book publishing, discussing and the center qf stars observing. The book collections were also various. The arrangement and management of the collections were done very well because this library s building consisted of rooms and collections arranged based on their kinds and types. Besides, it had binded catalogue. The personnels of the library consisted of the director, translators, supervision editors, librarians, teaching staff, scientists, assistants, porter, and book, "couriers". To preserve the collections, at that time, some actions were done such as rewriting, rebinding and completing missing pages.

Abstract

A manuscript entitled Syair Nabi Allah Ayub becomes the object of this study. It is written in Jawi. The manuscript was fisnished in the Barus, on 24-3-1273 or 22-11-1856. The text contains the life journey of the Prophet Ayub being tested by God with various trials. At the end of story, Angel Jibril and Mikail released all the trials and the Prophet Ayub regained its former glory. Many things can be explored with regard to the content of the texts, one of them about the imagery of woman in Islam described in the text of Syair Nabi Allah Ayub. It is analyzed by using Roland Barthes’ semiotic concept.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the availabity of reference collections in library of MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research is quantitative analysis. It uses observation, questionnaire and documentation techniques to collect the data. The result shows that the library MAN1 Pekanbaru has 6 types of reference collections from 10 types of reference collection, base on National Standards of Library. The types of reference collection available are Scripture, Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Atlas, map, and goverment regulation. The important collections which are not yet available among thers: biography, science dictionary, directory and almanac calendar.

Abstract

Artikel ini berisi bagaimana promosi perpustakaan lewat media sosial Instagram. Interaksi antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka saat ini bisa dilakukan secara virtual dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi yang ada. Peneliti secara khusus mengamati salah satu akun perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yaitu UPT Universitas Lancang Kuning. Bagaimana berkomunikasi dengan pemustaka lewat Instagram merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif dalam melakukan sebuah promosi di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Artikel ini juga melihat bagaimana bentuk-bentuk interaksi yang ditawarkan aplikasi Instagram dan bagaimana UPT Perpustakaan Universitas Lancang Kuning menggunakan fasilitas yang terdapat di Instagram Itu sendiri. Metode pengambilan data melalui observasi di akun Instagram UPT Universitas Lancang Kuning dan melakukan studi pustaka yang telah ada. Kajian ini dilakukan secara intensif selama 2 (dua) bulan, yaitu dari bulan Februari – April 2023 untuk melihat bagaimana perpustakaan melakukan promosi perpustakaan lewat Instagram. Hasil dari kajian yang kami lakukan Perpustakaan UPT Universitas Lancang Kuning telah memanfaatkan semua fasilitas yang ada di Instagram dalam melakukan promosi perpustakaan. Perpustakaan telah menggunakan Fasilitas Instagram Story, Upload Video, upload Foto, bahkan melakukan Live Instagram guna melakukan promosi perpustakaan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the citation of thesis students of the law study program at Lancang Kuning University and the law study program at the Islamic University of Riau. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a literature study approach. The results showed that there were 14 types of regulations used by Lancang Kuning University students and 19 types of regulations that were most widely used by law study program students at the Islamic University of Riau. The type of citation most widely used by these two universities is the law with the use of almost all of it in part with a total of 48.98% carried out by students of the Lancang Kuning University law study program and mostly used by students of the law study program at the Islamic University of Riau with a total of 60.87%. The most widely used type of law is law. No. 8 of 1981 concerning Criminal Procedure Code by Lancang Kuning University and the Civil Code by the Islamic University of Riau. The most widely used citation year at the two universities was in the range of 2000 to 2010.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to assess the extent of Qur'anic literacy among tahfidz teachers in Pekanbaru City. The investigation employed mixed research methods, including observation, interviews, questionnaires, and record-keeping. The sample consisted of 52 instructors, while the population of this study was 108 tahfidz teachers. The study revealed that the researchers had a good understanding of the first of the six indicators of Qur’anic comprehension based on the interviews. The second indicator, which measures fluency in reading the Qur’an among tahfidz teachers in Pekanbaru City, scored a maximum of 1040 with a total percentage of 88.75%, indicating a very high level of literacy. The third metric assesses the accuracy of Qur’an reading among tahfidz teachers in Pekanbaru City. The literacy level of tahfidz instructors in Pekanbaru City is very high, with a maximum score of 1040 and a total percentage of 87.30%. The fourth indicator assesses whether reading with makhorijul letters is appropriate for these instructors. The fifth criterion evaluates their capacity to compose Qur’anic verses in Pekanbaru City, with a minimum literacy level of 780 and a total percentage of 54.74%. The sixth indication of communication methods for tahfidz instructors in Pekanbaru City demonstrates a very strong literacy level, with a maximum score of 520 and a total percentage of 87.11%.

Abstract

This research amis to evaluate the usability test repository using the Nielsen’s Attributes of Usability (NAU) model in the Muhammadiyah University of Riau Library. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by carrying out observations, distributif questionnaires, interviews and documentation.the sampel in this study amounted to 95 people from the total population. The results of this research found that the learnability indikator (user’s ease in learning/understanding smartlib) had an average value of 4,49. Efficiency indikator (user needs can be resolved accurately and completely using smartlib) with an average value of 4,42. Memorability indikator (user’s ease in remembering the smartlib system) with an average value of 4,44. The errors indikator (failure in smartlib) has an average value of 4,45, so failures can be found in the system. For this reason, there needs to be improvements in overcoming failure problems that are often found in smartlib, namely access speed, so that access failures can be reduced. Satisfaction indikator (user satisfaction with smartlib) with an average value of 4,42. Thus, it can be concluded that the usability test repository using the Nielsen’s Attributes of Usability (NAU) Model in the Smartlib Library of the Muhammadiyah University of Riau isi n the very good category with an average of 4,44 (88,8%).

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the suitability of scientific article abstract writing with the standard of abstract writing in Lancang Kuning University journals indexed by Science And Technology Index (Sinta). The research methodology is quantitative, including literature search and comparative analysis of Sinta-indexed journal abstracts. The results showed that there were 22 accredited journals with different accreditation levels, ranging from Sinta 2 to Sinta 6. All journals have writing rules or guidelines, but these rules have not been followed or obeyed properly by the authors so that there are still discrepancies in abstract writing. More than half or 78.51% of the discrepancies were caused by the use of language, then 50.12% in the use of word count and 45.30% in the use of keywords. A small proportion of discrepancies, or 12.42%, were found in writing the substance of the abstract.
