Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah berbentuk grafik dan profil kesulitannya khususnya pada materi gerak lurus. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 06 Petarukan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A. Metode pengambilan data dengan tes diagnostik dan dengan didukung oleh wawancara. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa rata – rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah grafik masih rendah dengan persentase setiap kemampuannya dimulai kemampuan interpretasi grafik (48,30%),  kemampuan interpolasi (34,36%), kemampuan ekstrapolasi (53,01%), dan kemampuan transformasi (48,61%). Profil kesulitan siswa didasarkan pada pencapaian KKM,  pengetahuan prasyarat, profil materi, miskonsepsi, serta tahap – tahap pemecahan masalahnya. Berdasarkan penguasaan KKM, siswa masih mengalami kesulitan untuk semua indikator. Untuk profil kesulitan siswa berdasarkan pengetahuan prasyaratnya, siswa tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam menentukan luas bangun datar, tetapi pada operasi hitung dan persamaan linier termasuk dalam kategori kesulitan sedang. Untuk profil kesulitan siswa berdasarkan profil materi, siswa masih mengalami kesulitan untuk semua sub materi terutama percepatan. Profil kesulitan siswa berdasarkan miskonsepsi termasuk dalam kategori kesulitan tinggi (63,89%). Serta yang terakhir, profil kesulitan siswa berdasarkan tahap – tahap pemecahan masalah. Kesulitan siswa semakin naik dari mulai tahapan terendah yaitu  tahap memahami masalah dan tahapan tertinggi yaitu tahap peninjauan kembali.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to produce a worksheet with POE characteristics, how its properness, and how students’ reasoning and understanding improvement after its application. Research and Development (R&D) method with Pre-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design is used in this study. The procedures are: potential and problem, information collecting, product design, product validation, revision, small scale trial, revision, application. The properness test uses properness questionnaire. The data of students’ reasoning and conceptual understanding is taken from pretest and posttest. The properness test results indicate that Electrodynamics worksheet based on POE strategy is very proper as a teaching-material. Students’ reasoning and concept understanding improvement are in medium criteria after its application.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi sains siswa Indonesia menurut hasil studi Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) sejak tahun 2000 hingga tahun 2015 masih tergolong rendah. Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Bahan ajar yang ada di Indonesia belum memuat aspek literasi sains yang seimbang. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar yang berbasis literasi sains dengan muatan aspek-aspek literasi sains yang seimbang. Bahan ajar fisika yang dikembangkan mengangkat materi gelombang cahaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik, tingkat kelayakan, tingkat keterbacaan, dan peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Produk akhir penelitian ini berupa bahan ajar yang memiliki perbandingan rata-rata aspek literasi sains yakni sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, sains sebagai cara untuk menyelidiki, sains sebagai cara berpikir, dan interaksi antara sains, teknologi dan masyarakat berturut-turut 40% : 20% : 20% : 20%. Hasil uji kelayakan menyatakan bahan ajar memiliki kriteria sangat layak dengan skor sebesar  88,55. Hasil uji keterbacaan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan memiliki kriteria mudah dipahami dengan perolehan rata-rata keterbacaan sebesar 77%. Uji gain menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains kelas eksperimen termasuk kategori sedang yaitu 0,31 sedangkan kelas kontrol termasuk kategori rendah yaitu 0,2. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains antara siswa yang menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah.   The literacy skills of Indonesian students according to the results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) study from 2000 to 2015 are still low. Teaching materials is one of the factors that affect the level of literacy ability of science students. Teaching materials that exist in Indonesia has not included aspects of scientific literacy are balanced. Therefore, it is necessary to develop teaching materials based on scientific literacy with the content of aspects of balanced scientific literacy. Physics teaching materials that were developed lifted light wave material. This study aims to determine the characteristics, level of feasibility, level of readability, and improvement of students' scientific literacy skills. The research method used is research and development. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling technique. The final product of this study is a teaching material that has a comparison of the mean aspects of science literacy ie science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of investigating, science as a way of thinking, and interaction between science, technology and society successively 40%: 20% : 20%: 20%. The result of the feasibility test stated that the teaching materials have very reasonable criteria with the score of 88,55. The results of the readability test indicate that the teaching materials used have easy to understand criteria with the score of readability is 77%. The gain test shows that the scientific literacy ability of the experimental class is in the medium category, which is 0.31 while the control class is in the low category, which is 0.2. These results indicate that there is a difference in the ability of science literacy between students who use teaching materials developed with teaching materials used in schools.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan desain pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM serta mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru fisika Kab. Demak setelah mengikuti pelatihan penggunaan. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian guru fisika Kabupaten Demak sejumlah 16 orang. Instrumen pengambilan data berupa angket dan obervasi pelaksanaan pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) telah dihasilkan desain materi pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis mikroskop digital, 2) Sebanyak 94 % peserta pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM mampu memahami materi pelatihan dengan baik. Sedangkan sebanyak 6 % belum mampu memahami materi pelatihan sebab media yang digunakan adalah kamera DLSR sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan dan pendampingan lebih lanjut. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM mampu dipahami dengan baik oleh guru fisika Kabupaten Demak.   The research aimed to design a workshop for science learning process using DIGICOM as well as to determine participant’s understanding about DIGICOM after following the workshop.  Participants were teachers of physics subject in Demak, Central Java.  The research method is qualitative method by using questionnaire and observation during the workshop.  The results of the research are 1) design of material for workshop on learning process using digital microscope, 2) 94% of the workshop participant comprehend the material well.  Meanwhile, 6% of the participants could not understand the material clearly so that more intensive workshop is required.  As conclusion, the workshop for  science learning process using DIGICOM could be followed and understood well by Physic teachers in Demak.

Abstract

Teaching physics by utilizing technology becomes a necessity for high school physics teachers to master. DIGICOM is an innovation in teaching physics that utilizes multi-technology. Interface-connected camera technology can help explain microscopic phenomena observed through a microscope. A total of 19 physics teachers in Batang Regency, Central Java received training on DIGICOM-based science learning. From the preliminary data it is known that almost all teachers have never carried out learning using multi-technology and only 50% of teachers or schools have digital microscopes and digital cameras in their schools. But after getting DIGICOM training in physics learning, teachers already have sufficient knowledge and they have the confidence to be able to implement the results of this training in learning physics in their classrooms.

Abstract

The goals of this research are to identify the characteristics of Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets, determine the feasibility level of Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets, determine the increase in student cognitive learning outcomes, and determine the increase in student problem-solving abilities. The method of this research is Research and Development (R&D) with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the feasibility test from the validator and the results of the readability test showed that the Problem Based Learning-based student worksheets are very suitable for use in physics learning and this is easy to understand. The use of student worksheets in learning can increase students cognitive learning outcomes and students problem solving abilities.
