Abstract

The battery power of the smartphone can not keep pace with other technological advances in improving performance such as CPU and memory, so research needs to be done in order to develop mobile apps that have low power consumption levels. According the survey, from the many existing mobile apps, media sosial apps are the most used apps by smartphone users. One way to develop mobile applications that can have low power consumption is to optimize library usage. Library Image loader is one of the most popular android libraries used in media sosial applications to handle image transformation. Library Image loader which will be tested in this research is library Picasso, Universal image loader (UIL) and Glide. The research is done by making a media sosial prototype application that resembles instagram timeline that will be used as a dummy system. The test will be performed over a specified time range and by using several different image size parameters to see the effect of image size differences on the power level of the Library Image loader. The results showed that the Glide library had the lowest average power consumption of 225,780 mW. While for testing with different image sizes, it only affects the Picasso and UIL libraries, that is the larger the image size, the greater the average power consumption level required.

Abstract

Engine oil is the most vital element in motorcycle maintenance. Due to ignorance about the time of engine oil change can cause engine performance to decrease even turn off the engine flame. In addition, the maintenance of motorcycles is less understood by some motorcycle owners in Malang with a percentage of 64.4%. As many as 68.6% admitted if the motorcycle has branded Honda. This data is obtained by the author with the questionnaire technique through google form. With these problems, the author conducted research on the development of software Honda Care as a motorcycle maintenance application using prototyping method with case studies on AHASS in Malang. In the process, done as much as 2 times iteration. This research will produce mobile applications connected to embedded systems in the form of vertical water buoy sensor and NodeMCU. Applications are tested to Motorcycle Owners by testing user acceptance. The test result is 86.3% for software engineering aspect, 89.7% for aspect of functionality and 88.6% for visual communication aspect. The results indicate excellent acceptance from Users and will serve as reference as evidence that the Honda Care application has been completed and is acceptable to Users.

Abstract

Education and technology are two interdependence thing for human life in the future. Senior high school 3 Sidoarjo is one of school that have e-learning as educational facilities for students and teachers. Facilities that have been running for several years on the official site of this school is still in the development stage and still not used completely well by the school due to lack of interest for using e-learning from students and teachers. Data from statista.com there are 88.37% smartphone Android users until the end of 2017. By viewing and utilizing the current conditions, students and teachers have been using smartphones in their daily activities as well as maximizing the use of school facilities, e-learning implemented on Android smartphones using User-Centered Design method that refers to the user experience to make e-learning application has a good usability value to be used by students and teachers. In addition, UCD method is iterative which means it can explore any needs of end-user that can change directly. The result of data test from USE questionnaire method are usefulness criteria 91.71%, ease of use criteria 83.37%, ease of learning criteria 94.5%, and satisfaction criteria 82,16%. The average score of usability testing using task scenarios had 96.7% success in student user and 94,6% success on teacher user.

Abstract

E-commerce or electronic commerce is a process of selling and buying digitally. Its fast development is followed by the high internet usage in Indonesia. Lazada, Tokopedia, dll are ones of existing e-commerce that are most-used in Indonesia. These 5 applications offers 5 values for the users which in fact, still have certain lacks. This research is held with means to analyze value given by these 5 most-used e-commerce applications. To evaluate the values of these e-commerce applications, this research applies UX Honeycomb method which is a tool with 7 value terms which are useful, usable, findable, credible, desirable,accessible, valueable. These values is used to explain the quality of users' experience.The result of comparing proposed value and perceived value of the applications is the needs to increase credibility for Lazada, desirability and usability for Tokopedia, and desirability and usability for Mataharimall. In the other hand, the 7 values of Bukalapak and Zalora have been successfully perceived by the users.

Abstract

In the product which are offered usually have value to proposition that users feel while access or use it. Value proposition design is aimed to fill demand, experience, and desire of user in using it. In that condition, it can be used in development of online application based on Android platform and web-based to order ticket. Some of them for example Traveloka, Tiket.com, and Pegi-pegi. In this research, the writer use UX Honeycomb method to compare the value that system gives with user feel based on UX Honeycomb aspect. The goals of this research are to know result of proposed value analyze and perceived value analyze, and to know the comparison of proposed value and perceived value in Traveloka, Tiket.com, and Pegi-pegi. The methodology of this research is started from reference's study, value analyst, value scoring, taking and processing data to gain perceived value score, comparison of proposed value and perceived value, and making conclusion. Based on the result of analysis and discussion of each application that has done include all of UX Honeycomb aspect, in Traveloka application, the aspect which need to be improved is useful, in Tiket.com, aspect which need to be improved are usable and credible. Whereas in Pegi-pegi application, aspect which need to be improved are usable and desirable.

Abstract

Futsal is the one of the sport that is growing in indonesia, especially in the city of malang. The development of futsal in Malang has some parties who exploit these conditions to make it land business, such as futsal field provides for renting service. Many field provider do not provide information or convenience in reservating such a field. According to the results of a survey the Association's Internet Service Provider Indonesia (APJII) in the year 2016, 47.6% or 63.1 million Indonesian people accessing the internet through their mobile devices. Based on condition, in order to help information deliver and help give the ease of reserve a field, the field reservating application implemented on an android mobile device. This application was developed using the method of development of Extreme Programming which is the simplest method in the process of designing and coding, so that it can reduce amount of development time. In addition, this method is suitable for dealing with the needs of users which didn't clear and easy to change. Based on the test results obtained by the use of usability methods SUS, application of malang futsal field reservations get assessment from eight user with the value of an average score on user side is 77 and the officer side is 73.3. Then from the results it can be concluded that the application is declared acceptable, so that's mean this applications can be declared as acceptable and easy to used by the user.

Abstract

The existence of student and lecture is a main component from study in educational institution. Many student who has an obstacle experiences to looking for lectures position in campus. In addition to lecturing, lecture is also have another duties to do Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, it becomes an obstacle for student to looking for lectures position where not always located in their room. In general, to determine someone position using GPS (Global Positioning System), however GPS have also a weakness such as can't determine someone inside the building. This study is to build an application that can find lectures position inside the building using Color Radiomap Interpolation method. Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) from 3 Access Point is used to develop this application. The value from RSSI is converted turn into a color map that used to determine lecture position. This application is developed in two sides where for the lecture is used to change the status to can be found its position, for the students is also can find the lecture and see the position. Determining position with compare training data in the color map by test data when the status from lecturer is changed with collecting the smallest data from the equation of Mean Squared Error. The result is show that all of the requirement can be validated, with with accuracy 90%.

Abstract

In the past ten years, the process of software engineering is growing faster and also the development of software engineers should be able to follow the development of software engineering. Because of that, the project amount of software engineering is getting larger and variant. However, there are several obstacles in practices of software engineering. One of the most common obstacle is the inaccuracy of the composition of the software development team because of social problems and conflicts experienced by the team.The researcher found a direct correlation between the success achieved in particular job role and someone's personality. The composition of the team in software development project is a crucial factor that is able to failure of a software development project. Identifying that personality can be used to measure the compatibility of a software development team, so it is necessary to have a system that is able to accurately identify personality of a person as well as the suitability of work positions especially in software engineering. The system must be able to identify a person's personality. From the results of these personalities, the system is also able to determine recommendations software development positions based on their personality dimensions of Bigfive Personality Traits, including: Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. From the results of Bigfive Personality Dimension, the system is also able to compile a software development team in working on a software project. The result of this research is had a three actor, eighteen functional requirements and also system are tested with a hundred percent valid.

Abstract

Muscle fitness is an important thing that cannot be separated from people's lives. Gym places are things that are commonly found in several major cities in Indonesia, especially in Malang City. To be able to practice fitness every time, many people register to become members at the gym, even though only occasionally come to the gym when the time is free. Consumers as customers will choose the factors considered to go to the gym. Consideration factors such as price, location, and people's reviews that can be measured through rating are important in finding the right gym. Based on the importance of finding a suitable gym for community needs, a recommendation system for gyms in Malang City is based on native Android, so it can be a consideration for users in choosing a gym in Malang. Researchers develop mobile-based applications due to several considerations, namely, when choosing a gym, there are distance criteria that have Latitude & Longitude data that can be accessed by GPS in the mobile application. This system was developed using the TOPSIS method. TOPSIS method is suitable for use in the development of research because this method has a low complexity of algorithms so that it is suitable to be applied to mobile applications. The results of the study were the percentage value of the functionality of 100%, the validation test of the validation between manual calculations and the calculation system gets a percentage value of 100% and rank consistency testing for addition and reduction of criteria gets a percentage value of 100%.

Abstract

One phase in database design for developing a software is a database design, this phase created based on conceptual and relational models. The process that is quite difficult is when mapping databases. When user requirement changed, it will have an impact on the design of the Database System that has been made before. In addition, a complex database structure, when experiencing changes will take a lot of time to be manually mapped. Based on these problems, A system was created to map the database model in the form of ERD so that it can be directly used on MySQL databases. With the goal to ease the mapping process, this system uses Chen's notation. This notation is the most used notation in the data modeling tool because it is easily read and interpreted. But this notation is rarely used by the ERD mapping application. This system uses seven steps of Entity Relationship diagram mapping so that it complies with the rules of Software Engineering. The system is made by web-based, using object-oriented programming, and using the Codeigniter framework. The system develop 16 requirement that has been tested using white-box and black-box testing in order to get best result in Chen's notation ER diagram mapping and the final testing results as expected, and compatibility testing got 95% valid result.
