Abstract

Rumah dapat dianalisis dengan pendekatan tipologi. Rumah tradisional Tolaki terdiri dari bagian bawah, bagian tengah, dan bagian atas. Salah satu etnis Tolaki berada di Desa Wolasi, Kecamatan Wolasi, Kabupaten Konawe Selatan, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Menurut tokoh masyarakat bahwa rumah tradisional Tolaki Komali pernah ada di desa tersebut. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk merekonstruksikan kembali bentuk rumah tradisional Tolaki Komali. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengidentifikasi tipologi rumah tradisional Tolaki Komali. Identfikasi rumah ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan grounded theory. Sumber data primer didapatkan dari kajian literatur. Sumber data primer terdiri dari rumah tradisional Tolaki Komali dan tipologi bangunan. Tipologi bangunan dikelompokkan menjadi struktur bawah, struktur tengah, dan struktur atas. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara kajian literatur. Penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa rumah tradisional Tolaki Komali sebagai berikut: pertama, struktur bawah yang paling khas yaitu pondasi tiang bagian bawah dibakar, ditanam, dan diselubungi dengan ijuk; tinggi tiang bawah dibuat sesuai dengan ukuran hewan kerbau; Komali terdapat tiang petumbu dan tiang tinohe; balok tiang serta lantai diikat oleh balok siwolembatohu. Kedua, struktur tengah yang paling khas yaitu dinding papan dipasang tegak; tangga terdapat di ruang tinumba ibunga; dan pintu dibuka pada bagian kiri. Ketiga, struktur atas yang paling khas yaitu atap rumah berbentuk perisai dan bubungan atap dibuat melengkung.

Abstract

In Kendari City, the concrete structure made by construction workers consists of: (a) concrete for the lower class; (b) concrete for middle society, and; (c) concrete for the upper community. The concrete is made with different sand material. This research is important to find out the method of making concrete made by construction workers in Kendari City. This research is intended to test the compressive strength and absorbency of the concrete made by construction workers in Kendari City. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. Based on laboratory test results that concrete material from 100% Unaha sand with the composition of 1 sack of cement: 4 barrel of unaha sand included in structural concrete. Concrete material from split stone and Pohara sand with a composition of 1 sack of cement: 4 barrel of Pohara sand : 4 barrel of split stone, concrete material from Unaha sand and Pohara sand with a composition of 1 sack of cement: 4 barrels of Unaha sand : 4 barrels of Pohara sand, concrete material from 100% Nambo sand with the composition of 1 sack of cement: 4 barrels of Nambo sand, concrete material from Nambo sand and Unaha sand with a composition of 1 sack of cement: 3 barrels of Nambo sand : 1 barrel of Unaha sand, and concrete material from Nambo sand and Sabulakoa sand with composition of 1 sack of cement : 3 barrels of Nambo sand : 1 barrel of Sabulakoa sand are included in non-structural concrete.

Abstract

In Kendari City, growing and developing public housing funded by the Bank. However, housing tends to be still difficult to reach by the lower classes of society. The lower classes of society such as herbalists, motorcycle taxi drivers, construction workers, scavengers, street vendors, and so on. In general, the lower class of society resides in rented houses. This research is important as follows: (a) to provide alternative prototypes of simple houses for the lower classes of society; (b) to make prototypes of low-cost homes; (c) to assist the government and private developers in providing alternative solutions to housing for the lower classes of society; (d) to grow and develop the principles of populist architecture in Kendari City. This research is intended to make a simple home prototype for the lower class society with the principles of populist architecture. This research uses research and development methods. Sources of data in this study consisted of primary data sources and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by means of the data being reduced, the data presented, and the data being concluded. This research concludes that marginal houses are made with the principles of form follows economics. Economic principles are applied to building materials and building sizes.
