Abstract

The acquisition of learning outcomes of Indonesian students in PISA in 2019 occupies the bottom 6 out of 77 countries, the latest PISA results in 2023 also show aligned results where they occupy the bottom 15 of 88 countries where the subject matter begins to emerge from the elementary / MI level. This study aims to examine how much influence the talking stick method has on students' learning outcomes, especially at the elementary / MI level. The research method used is a quantitative meta-analysis type with a comparison of group contrast design. The population in the study was 191 articles from the Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Research Gate databases. The sampling technique is an inclusion criterion. The number of samples used is 10 articles that fit the criteria. The effect of all studies was 1,633 for studies with a sample of < 30 of 1,576 and a sample of > 30 of 1,727 and a P-value hypothesis test result of 0.001. Based on this, the author concludes that the talking stick learning method has a  significant effect and has a huge effect on influencing the learning outcomes of elementary / MI students, especially used when the number of students is> 30. So that this method can be a solution to overcoming the problem of obtaining student learning outcomes in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of digital overstimulation on attention control in elementary school students, particularly concerning the phenomenon of "brain rot" in the learning process. Using a phenomenological approach, this research explores the subjective experiences of students in dealing with the challenges of attention control in the digital age. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with students and teachers, as well as direct observations in the learning environment, and was further supported by various literatures. The findings reveal that excessive exposure to digital media contributes to a decline in focus ability, particularly in tasks that require sustained attention. Students experience difficulty transitioning from digital activities to conventional learning and exhibit signs of disorientation and stress when faced with tasks requiring continuous focus. The study also highlights the important role of teachers and parents in moderating the use of digital media and developing effective attention control strategies. Simple restorative interventions, such as outdoor break times and focus rehabilitation techniques, have been shown to help reduce attention fatigue complaints among students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of students in conventional learning applied by teachers. The research aims to implement a project-based learning model to increase the interest of Class I students at SD Negeri 008 Palembang which totals 32 students. This research method is a classroom action research carried out through 2 cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II.  The data collection techniques in this study are (1) Observation of students' interests with indicators of interest, feelings of pleasure, and active participation in learning. (2) PJBL learning data collection techniques. The results of this study show that: (1) the implementation of learning using STEAM-based PJBL in thematic learning, especially Indonesian Language and SBdP, can increase student interest, namely in the first cycle by 67.78% and in the second cycle by 82.03%(2) The increase in student interest can be seen from the results of learning reflection with the percentage of student interest in the first cycle of 37.5% and the second cycle of 87.5%.

Abstract

The integration of Augmented Reality (AR) media in education has emerged as a promising approach to enhance engagement and motivation among elementary students in the 5.0 Era. This study investigates the dual impacts of AR on student motivation and interest in learning. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, the research was conducted in a cyclical process of planning, action, observation, and reflection over four weeks at SDN XX Palembang, targeting sixth-grade students. A stratified random sampling method was used to select the participants. Data were collected through weekly surveys to quantitatively measure motivation and interest levels, and through direct observations and interviews to provide qualitative insights. The findings reveal a significant and consistent increase in both motivation and interest scores, with motivation rising from an average of 35.2 to 71.2 and interest from 33.7 to 72.3. Qualitative data corroborated these results, showing a transformation in student behavior from initial curiosity to collaborative problem-solving and independent learning. The study concludes that AR is a transformative and sustainable pedagogical tool that effectively fosters a dynamic and student-centered learning environment. This research provides a valuable model for educators seeking to integrate technology to enhance learning experiences

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of implementation of a culture of religious moderation at Kartika II-5 Elementary School in Bandar Lampung and analyze its role in the process of internalizing students' character values. The research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of participatory observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and 13 students. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The techniques used to validate the data are source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that a culture of religious moderation is integrated through several main indicators, namely national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and preservation of local culture. These four indicators are realized in intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities through the habituation of religious attitudes, nationalism, mutual cooperation, independence, and integrity of students. This implementation has a positive influence on the formation of student character that is tolerant, has an attitude of respect for differences, and upholds unity. However, challenges arise from the influence of digital technology, requiring ongoing monitoring and strengthening of character literacy. This research confirms that a school culture based on religious moderation plays a strategic role in strengthening harmony and harmony in primary education.
