Abstract

Introduction: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is one of the critical conditions that requires quick and appropriate treatment to prevent further damage to brain tissue. One non-invasive approach that can be applied is a head elevation of 30°, which is believed to increase cerebral tissue perfusion and reduce intracranial pressure. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of monitoring and the application of 30° head elevation in improving cerebral perfusion in patients with captive trauma. Research Methodology: This study uses an observational design with a pre-post test approach. The study subjects were patients with capitis trauma who performed a 30° head elevation action. Parameters observed before and after the intervention included the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, pain, frequency of vomiting, nausea intensity, and dizziness level. Result: After applying a head elevation of 30°, the patient's GCS remained stable at a value of 15 (composmentis). Body temperature decreased from 38.6°C to 36.8°C, and pulse rate from 118x/min to 80x/min. The pain scale decreased from 8 to 3, vomiting from 5x/day to 1x/day, nausea from a score of 5 to 1, and dizziness from a score of 4 to 1. Blood pressure did not change significantly (140/90 mmHg). Conclusion: The application and monitoring of 30° head elevation are effective in increasing the perfusion of cerebral tissue and lowering clinical symptoms related to capitis trauma. This intervention can be used as the first step in the nursing management of TBI patients.

Abstract

This research offers a comprehensive exploration of the relationship between employee engagement, career management, and employee turnover within organizational environments. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were gathered through structured surveys involving participants from various professional backgrounds. The analysis reveals that career management has a significant and positive impact on employee turnover, highlighting the importance of robust career development initiatives in retaining valuable talent. Furthermore, employee engagement was found to significantly influence career management practices, emphasizing its essential role in encouraging employees to take ownership of their professional development. However, the study identified no direct and significant relationship between employee engagement and turnover, suggesting that while engagement can foster motivation and positive work behaviors, it may not be sufficient to reduce turnover unless supported by tangible opportunities for career progression. This underscores the need for organizations to adopt a more integrated human resource strategy—one that combines engagement efforts with structured, transparent, and supportive career development frameworks. For HR practitioners and organizational leaders, these findings offer critical insights. Strengthening career management systems—such as implementing clear advancement pathways, customized development plans, and consistent training programs—can effectively reduce employee turnover, reinforce organizational commitment, and cultivate long-term workforce loyalty. Ultimately, the study advocates for a holistic approach to employee retention, where individual aspirations are aligned with the organization’s strategic vision, fostering sustainable growth and employee satisfaction over time.

Abstract

Background: Dental anxiety of local anesthesia and extraction was the main reason for children to avoid dental treatment. Music therapy is an alternative approach in reducing the physical and psychological stress of children during visits to the dentist. Objective: To determine and correlate the level of dental anxiety on dental anesthesia procedure in children while listening to music, using psychometric and physiological measures.   Methods: A total of 32 children aged 7-10 years were recruited  from patients presenting to Dental Hospital. Subjects divided randomly into two groups. The first group had dental procedure with music and the other group without music.   Both were asked to choose  FIS (Face Image Scale) and had pulse oximetry examination to measure the level of anxiety before and during treatment.  Results:   Coefficient correlation (0.136) was found between FIS and pulse oximetry, indicated that the correlation between two instruments on children's anxiety levels was positive although not statistically different. . Conclusion: Dental anesthesia anxiety while listening to music was reduced significantly different in both psychometric and physiological measures.

Abstract

Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes kreativitas verbal berdasarkan Torrance Test of Creative Thinking (TTCT-V).
