Abstract

Abstract

Nutritional problem due to prolonged lack of food intake is a Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED). There is a risk of impairing fetal growth and development which results in stunting, prematurity, birth defects, LBW, and fetal/baby death. Efforts to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women with CED include nutrition education through assistance by cadres/ health workers. The purpose of this community service is to assist in fulfilling the nutrition of pregnant women with SEZ through home visits. Assistance methods include nutrition education, PMT, giving blood supplement tablets and multivitamins, and ANC checks. Assistance was carried out 2 times: first pretest nutrition education, PMT, blood tablets, and multivitamins, second 2 weeks from the first visit to monitor pregnancy conditions, and post-test. The number of participants was 20 people. The results of the activity increased knowledge from the average pre-test score of 7 to 11, on the attitude of the average score of 12 to 16, and behavior from the average score of 9 to 13. The results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Test obtained a value of p = 0.000. This explains that there is a significant increase in knowledge, attitude, and behavior before and after the assistance of pregnant women. It is hoped that assistance in fulfilling the nutrition of pregnant women with CED can improve the fulfillment of nutrition for pregnant women with CED, reduce the risks that occur to mothers and babies, and can be used as one of the programs in preventing stunting.

Abstract

Teenage pregnancy is public health issue that impacts maternal and infant health, as well as the continuation of adolescent education. This study aims to develop health education module for adolescent pregnant women using the ADDIE model, assess the module's feasibility based on expert validation and user responses, and test its effectiveness in improving the knowledge of adolescent pregnant women. This study uses the ADDIE development model. The research subjects included adolescent pregnant women in Barito Kuala and Banjar Regencies, South Kalimantan. The research instruments consisted of a validation sheet, user response questionnaire, and pre- and post-test questions. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The analysis stage indicated low health literacy among pregnant adolescents. The module design was structured with a content structure including learning objectives, materials, illustrations, and evaluation. Expert validation results showed the module was in the feasible category with several revisions in the form of adding specific content and supporting visuals. The trial on respondents showed an increase in knowledge scores, where the average post-test score was higher than the pre-test (p < 0.05). This indicates the module's effectiveness in improving adolescent pregnant women's understanding of healthy pregnancies.

Abstract

Pesantren as a traditional Islamic educational institution has a social and cultural structure that is still thick with patriarchal values. Gender relations in them are often shaped by religious understanding that places men as the main authority. This study aims, first, to describe patriarchy in the perspective of pesantren. Second, to analyze and describe patriarchy in pesantren perspective in PP. Bustanul Ulum Mlokorejo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that first, patriarchy in the pesantren perspective is a relationship of male domination over women in socio-religious activities in the pesantren environment. Second, patriarchy in the pesantren perspective is not adopted in PP. Bustanul Ulum Mlokorejo. The implications of this finding indicate the need for dissemination related to relations that are starting to be equal, based on willingness, and mutual cooperation in the pesantren environment. Pesantren is no longer a religious educational institution that is the basis of patriarchal relations.
