Abstract

Emerging adulthood merupakan masa peralihan antara remaja dan dewasa. Dalam periode ini individu mulai mencari dan menemukan siapa dirinya dan apa yang ingin dicapai. Di masa ini, proses identifikasi diri yang juga masih berlangsung dapat menciptakan ketegangan identitas seiring berlangsungnya proses transisi peran sebagai seorang remaja ke dewasa. Adanya ketegangan identitas ini terkadang memunculkan adanya keraguan diri/self-doubt akan kemampuan dan identitas diri, sehingga dibutuhkan adanya intervensi untuk meregulasi self-doubt. Indonesia Women League (IWL) merupakan komunitas yang memiliki visi untuk memberdayakan para wanita. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai self-doubt serta cara untuk mengelolanya. Penyampaian informasi dilakukan dalam bentuk workshop secara daring sebanyak empat sesi kepada anggota komunitas IWL. Dalam workshop ini terdapat data pretest dan posttest terkait gambaran self-doubt pada partisipan. Setelah mengikuti rangkaian sesi workshop didapatkan hasil data penurunan tingkat self-doubt pada partisipan. Umpan balik dari partisipan terhadap kegiatan ini dapat dikatakan positif, dimana mereka merasa senang dan puas dengan topik yang dibawakan karena relevan dengan kehidupan mereka. Selain itu partisipan juga menyampaikan bahwa mereka mendapatkan pemahaman terhadap diri dan strategi dalam menghadapi self-doubt

Abstract

An understanding of parenting has becoming increasingly important, especially within church communities. GKI Gejayan recognizes the significance of parenting in supporting the growth of children and adolescents in a Christian context. This understanding led to developing a community service program titled, "Maximizing Developmental Potential and Parenting Patterns within the GKI Gejayan Yogyakarta Spouse Community”. The program uses a psychoeducational approach with two main sessions aimed at equipping parents with practical tools for better parenting. The first session, held in person, focused on child development, covering cognitive, physical, and psychosocial aspects that influence parenting. It also addressed common parenting challenges and introduced love languages, providing parents with strategies to improve their parenting methods. The second online session concentrated on the role of discipline in child-rearing, exploring effective disciplinary methods and the appropriate use of punishment to support child development. The program targets married couples with children, offering valuable guidance to help them support their children's growth at each developmental stage. Ultimately, this initiative seeks to enhance parenting practices and contribute to the holistic development of children and adolescents in the community.

Abstract

This research explores the challenges and opportunities experienced by teachers of students with special needs (TSSN) in inclusive schools, as well as the impact on their psychological well-being (stress and relationship with others). Students with special needs (SSN) possess the same right to education as their peers without special needs, and the implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia places teachers at the forefront of addressing student diversity. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with thematic analysis of data obtained from open-ended online questionnaires completed by 58 inclusive school teachers (81% female, mean age 36.38 years, with varying teaching experience). The findings indicate that the primary challenges faced by teachers include a lack of in-depth understanding of TSSNs, inadequate facilities, difficulties in managing learning and classroom dynamics, and the need to respond to a wide range of student behaviors and emotions. Nevertheless, teachers also identified opportunities to improve their competencies and build meaningful relationships with students. The discussion highlights the necessity for more comprehensive support from schools and the government, encompassing training, adequate facilities, adaptive curricula, and professional support teams. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of psychological interventions and systemic support to improve the well-being of inclusive school teachers, which will ultimately positively impact the quality of education for SSNs. This finding is useful for designing school-based interventions and public policies that support the well-being of inclusive education teachers.

Abstract

Mengajar adalah salah satu pekerjaan yang dapat membuat stres, beberapa penelitian sudah membuktikannya. Stres pada guru dapat disebabkan perilaku siswa, kesulitan dalam manajemen waktu dan sumber-sumber, kebutuhan untuk diakui secara profesional, dan buruknya hubungan-hubungan. Terlebih lagi mengajar anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK), terdapat tuntutan-tuntutan tertentu yang harus dihadapi oleh guru Anak Berkebutuhan terkait dengan perilaku siswa, serta kewajiban untuk membuat Program Pendidikan Individual. Apabila guru tersebut tidak melakukan coping terhadap sumber-sumber stres yang dihadapinya maka akan berdampak ke performa kerja nya, dan pada akhirnya akan berdampak ke anak didiknya. Coping stress adalah proses adaptasi terhadap tuntutan-tuntutan/ sumber stres yang ada. Coping stress terdiri dari 3 dimensi, yaitu problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, dan maladaptive/ disfunctional coping. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah stress berkorelasi positif signifikan dengan emotion focused coping dan maladaptive coping, dan tidak adanya korelasi signifikan antara stress dengan problem focused coping.
